Questions

When I try to open two or more images in Bridge to ACR, only one opens.  The other(s) will only open if I close the one that opened first as opposed to showing in the filmstrip.  Same for Drag and Drop.  Any ideas on how to fix the issue are appreciated.  Uning latest versions in Windows 10.

Hello. I'm using Bridge v 10.0.3. Every time I open a RAW/CR file in Bridge the default sharpening is set at 40. How do I change this to 25 so that every time I open a file the sharpening will be set at 25, not 40. If it matters I use Windows 10 64-bit. Thank you.

Dear Bridge community, I have a number of video files (mxf) which are being tagged in Premiere Pro by the editing team. They are using the Dublin Core fields in the metadata window in Premiere Pro.I would like to index these files in Bridge to provide a searchable catalog. I can see the files in Bridge, but I can't see the Dublin Core information which has been set for the files, and therefore, I can't search the catalogue based on these tags. When I reopen the files in Premiere Pro, I can see the right tags and keywords in the Dublin Core fields. I can also see the sidecar file (.xmp) which is being created for every video file. Can anyone help me to understand how to retrieve these xmp Dublin Core data in Bridge ? thanks a lot !

In Bridge the instructor talks about a short cut that allows a user to go from the DMG file (already worked on in Camera Raw) directly to Photoshop, without bringing up the Camera Raw dialogue box again, by using using the SHIFT BUTTON and then clicking on the DMG file twice.  I have tried this several times, and it always takes me back to the Camera Raw page.   This is not that big of a deal, but my concern is if this is a bug, then there may be more bugs for me down the road in my PS CC 2020.  And should I reinstall just in case?  Has anyone else had this particular issue?    Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.   I really appreciate it!   🙂 

I am running Bridge 10.0.1.126 on a MacBook Pro with Catalina 10.15.2.  I recently copied all of my image files to a NAS device (WD My Cloud Home 4TB), anticipating eventually deleting them from the Macintosh HD altogether.  One of my larger folders (Images/Working/Prints) has 127 image files (.CR2, .NEF, .PSD with a number of .XML sidecar files).  When I try to access this folder from Bridge, I get varying results.  Usually, it is just painfully slow (this could be the My Cloud Home technology) or displays incomplete results (fifteen or so of the 127 images).  One time Bridge just crashed, and another time, after displaying most of the images, it said that the device is no longer available, even though I was able to access any of the 127 images through Finder.       {Thread title edited by moderator}

Die Kontaktabzüge aus Photoshop sind von der Farbechtheit und Qualität wunderbar und dienen als Referenz.Beim Kontaktabzug aus Bridge in eine PDF Datei werden die Bilder leider bei allen Mac´s deutlich dunkler und mit einem starken rotstich gespeichert. Das Ergebnis fällt bei einigen Mac´s stärker als bei anderen aus - gut ist es aber leider bei keinem.  Folgendes habe ich bereits auf einem Mac mit sehr starkem rotstich zu einem mit weniger starkem Rotstich verglichen - konnte aber keine Abweichungen feststellen: - Bridge CC und Acrobat Version (beide sind identisch)- Farbeinstellungen in Bridge sind identisch- Gleiches Raster zum Exportieren- Identische Ausgabeeinstellungen in Bridge Können Sie mir helfen? Right now all of our users are stuck at Adobe Bridge version 8.1.0.383 and the application is just about unusable with crashing, errors, and lockups. I have followed the steps to troubleshoot Bridge with little improvement and I am wondering if there is a more stable previous version that stands out? Any suggestions on a specific version? The reason we are stuck is Adobe software going from serialized licensing to named user licensing. This conversion for the company is apparently a huge undertaking by the IT staff to accommodate the change of licensing. If the functionality is a critical need, then the guidance is find an alternate software solution. So there is pretty much a version freeze expected for the remainder of this year on all Adobe software that requires named user licensing. OS: Win10

I updated all my apps to 2019 a few days ago, however now every time I move any images into a new folder in bridge the whole program freezes. I can open in camera raw, I can edit images, I can rename files, deal with metadata ---I can do pretty much everything BUT when I got to move any images into a folder or another folder, It freezes.By freezes I mean: I can't close the program, minimize the window, I cannot scroll or click on anything in the window. Most of my items on the menu are grayed out, but some like open new window allows me to use them. (I attached images below)The only thing that works is force closing the application and starting over. But still freezes every time I move anything again. THINGS I'VE TRIED:I have cleared my cache & settings. I have opened and worked on camera raw images in photoshop. All the other applications seem to be working as normal.I have contacted adobe support via chat but they said they would email me a solution but didn't read my issue at al

I know that you can drag a SUB KEYWORD to the blank space at the bottom of the keyword list to convert it to a KEYWORD. But, I no longer have any blank space at the bottom. Is there another way?   Thanks in advance!   {Thread renamed by moderator}

I'm an image retoucher. I just bought a 2019 Mac Pro, so I must now abandon the nifty Jetphoto Studio program that I used for catalogueing my Photoshop work files - - JetPhoto does not offer a 64-bit install. I'm considering using Adobe Bridge, but not sure if it will do exactly what I want it to do. I DO NOT want to have to store my entire archive of thousands of hi-Rez files on my Mac Pro. All I want on the computer are lo-rez files, similar to the way JetPhoto converts the files. Can Bridge do this? I just need Bridge for very basic needs:- to give me a visual reference to all images- to link the photographer's name to the images- to tell me which archive DVD # each image is found on- to allow me to tag keywords to various images (grass, asphalt, wood surface, etc), allowing me to search by keywords and retrieve past work images as source files. I'm sure Bridge manages these chores, but mainly concerned about Bridge importing only lo-rez files and nothing more. I work on a Mac Pro 2013 with Catalina 10.15.2 and use Adobe CC2020 in my workflow. I use a Logictech M510 wireless mouse. As a photographer I use Adobe Bridge for culling photos but recently this has become a complete nuicance as Adobe Bridge is acting up. Very often when I select either an individual file or a selected range of files to compare in the preview window, the selection gets dropped and a random image gets selected. This happen both with or without scrolling by the mouse. The culling process does take forever now. Any suggestions to what is the issue here? 

How can I convert  folder of pics  from NEF to DNG

Still another problem with the multi-bug-ridden program Bridge CC that is part of the subscription scheme.  After hours and hours of correcting wrong dates that it assigned to videos - where there is no thumbnails so I can't even see the subject, unless I go to CS6,  I was ready to put species names in front of the unique file numbers assigned to each file.  I did Waterfowl, then Owls, then was trying to do some squirrels and nothing happened.  I tried deer.  Nothing I tried to close Bridge and it won't close.  I can paste the desired name to a single file but batch stopped working.  To close I will have to use task manager and lose the search selection that I had made and start all over.  I think 6 hours or more trying to do what normally would be expected to be one hour with CS6, which worked far better. (But can't read Z7 files) 

How do I delete unwanted, no longer needed metadata templates? 

See the attached image showing the same file at the same moment, as viewed in Bridge (ver. 9.0.0.204) Metadata panel (on left) versus the File Info panel (on right).The times on the Metadata panel are true and correct. In the FIle Info panel, the time for Creation Date is exactly 5 hours prior, and wrong. Also, the Modification Date in the File Info panel is wrong. The File Info panel in Photoshop for this same Creative Cloud set also shows the same wrong times as Bridge.NOTE: The camera shutter was pressed at 2:03:14 PM (CDT) on 11/3/18. The file cannot have possibly been created (or re-created) at 9:03:14 AM as stated on the File Info panel. The Finder in Mac OS Sierra shows the true data, as seen in the Metadata panel.Is Adobe aware of this and fixing it?

I updated my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014 - 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 - 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 - AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4 GB) to Catalina last week. Ever since, Bridge (v10.0.2.131) has been running very laggy to the point that it's become unusable. If I quit then restart the program, it'll speed up for awhile. But it will eventually slow to a crawl, making the entire computer almost unusable. I can hear the fan spinning at high speed whereas I almost never hear it all. When I last checked Activity Monitor, Bridge was using over 300% of the CPU.I've rebooted the computer a couple of times as well but to no avail.What can I do to alleviate the problem?

Hello, the "search" function in Bridge is not working.  Looks like this is a common problem.   I have 60,000 photos that I need to search so needless to say this is a big issue for me.   I see similar issues dating back to 2017.  I tried reinstalling.  No luck.  I'm running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.3.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thannks

Since loading the latest Mac OS when I try to delete files in Bridge I get an error message and the file doesn't delete. Is this a bridge issue or yet another issue with the latest OS?
