I have read the forums and tried: windows 10 all updates loaded as is my video cardstart as administratorall save areas point to c drivecashe has been cleareddont have logitech capture loaded I did a full reinstall. The other projects load just not the video option. I bought it today and it failed to start that module from go. All my other adobe software works fine. Appreciate any help. HiI'm using Captivate 2019 and Internet Explorer 11 and published into html5.The problem is that the project never load.I have the message: Unable to get property 'length' of undefined or null reference (after doing F12 to see what's going on). Before publishing I checked the compatibility with html5. What I can do? Thanks to helping me.Mellaro

Hi - I'm trying to add a text caption in front of a zoom area.  I have the zoom area set up and the text caption.  When I try to change the order of layers (stack?) Zoom Area always stays at the front.  Is there a way I can achieve this?  Thanks

Hallozusammen,wir stehen vor der Herausforderung, dass wir nutzerbezogene Eingaben in den Text-entry boxen speichern wollen, so dass sie auch beim Wiederaufruf des Kurses noch vorhanden sind. Wir haben Variablen definiert, scheitern aber daran, dass die Boxen anscheinend nicht vom LMS ausgelesen werden können. Öffnet man das Projekt erneut, sind alle Eingaben gelöscht.Hat jemand einen Tipp, wie das funktionieren kann? Vielen Dank im voraus!   

Hello dearI have installed Adobe Captivate 2019 at some machine in different time, but some captivate files worked at two machines are not getting open on other machines. please assist.Please be noted that these two Adobe Captivate were installed trial version initially .

I see that participants of the Adobe Captivate certification training program can take the assessment at the end of the 1-day workshop.Does Adobe also offer the certification assessment separately? The workshop dates do not fit my schedule, so I'd like to attend training from a vendor and then take the exam. 

Hi everyone! I have made a Captivate project on Windows PC and published it as  .app.  But wenn i open it on my Mac, it doesn’t works. I become a issuse with 2 oportunities:  “Cancel” or “Move to trash”. Is there any possibility to publish projects for Mac? Thank you!   

Is there any way in captivate 9 by which we can make a user enter atleast a minimum amount of characters in a short answer type question before he can move forward in the quiz and if he enters the minimum number of characters he will be graded correct?

Hi - I created a branching slide and it works well; however, I do not want a quiz button to appear. Instead I want a continue button to appear after all branched slides are viewed. Do I have to create an advanced action to do that or can that be part of the new branching functionality? Thank you,Cheryl

Hi there: I need some guidance about using local storage variables to solve a problem. (I am using cpExtra's local storage capability, meaning that any variable name I pre-pend with LS goes into local stoarage.) I want to add data to a particular LS var for several days, (or for five projects), and then on the fifth day, use the accumulated values as part of the data to be displayed to the learner. More details:In a series I'm developing, where one course (cp project) is delivered each day, a learner identifies between 0 and 5 words they want to review. They perform that review and are done with that section. I want to store the 0-5 words in an LS var, which is straightforward.On day 2 (Tuesday), the learner gets a new set of words to consider, and can once again, identify between 0 and 5 words for further review. This process continues each day of the week, meaning that that learner will have identified between 0 and 25 words for review.Day 5, Friday, is different - it'

Hi, when I try to call the variable cpInfoGeoLocation (window.cpAPIInterface.getVariableValue('cpInfoGeoLocation')) the variable is undefined. I have turned on location tracker in both Chrome and Firefox (Mac OS 10.10), and tested it on local and public server. Is there a setting inside Captivate 8 I have to turn on in order to do this?

We are creating our first educational content in Captivate, but when inserting knowledge check slides they come up and work as we expect them to and are pleased, except that the opacity of the knowledge check overlay slide is too transparent to read easily. We have searched and searched for a way to control this, but we haven't found it yet. We even tried putting a smart shape as the background color to see if that would allow us to control the opacity, which it did, but it was still made too transparent when it was displayed as the overlay knowledge check slide. This is our first project, sorry if this is a rookie question! We appreciate your help. - Freddys 

After creating a video demo project.  After identifying yourself in the video to cut out, you confirm the area you want is selected. Then, you can select backgrouds.  Where are these backgrounds stored?  Or, is there another way to select the background for your video. 

Hi All, I've created an eLearning package that reports to a PHP server using the Internal Server Reporting functionality. When I enable this, it creates a prompt at the end of the pack for the users to enter theit name / email address. Is there: (1) any way to move this prompt to the start of the pack ? and (2) an easy way to customise what fields appear on this prompt and are therefor sent with the results to the PHP server? Thanks in AdvanceRoss

How to add multiple short answer entries/box in a single question slide in captivate 2019?

I wanted to experience Captive. Downloaded trial version. When I click the Video Demo option, the app is getting closed down immediately. I reinstalled the app on my laptop. Shutdown - reboot also did not help. Any suggestion?

I've published a quiz course in a non-scalable HTML5 format. The un-zipped files load successfully into any of the browsers I use locally on my machine. It also presents correctly locally on other co-workers' machines.  However, when uploaded to a directory on our customer-facing server, navigating to the screen shows only a blank, white page - not even the "play" arrow. This is not for actual use yet, but simply customer preview for a version they will host on another server when we do the final publish. No score recording needed. I've checked file permissions, firewall settings etc. but have not found any solutions or clues. I've double-checked that all files successfully upload.  I'm probably missing something obvious and would welcome anybody that can help me find what is probably right in front of my nose. 

I have recently downloaded adobe presenter 11 and am currently in the trial version. I did this to see if it would be a good fit b4 I purchase.  So far I have created a Power Point with animation and audio (MP3 format) as well as voice recording for narration... None of them play when i view the presentation in presenter.  Is there a way to fix this issue. If not i can use the product. Thanks 

It seems as though my quiz slides won't progress until the audio is complete. How can I allow the end-user to complete the quiz without having to listen to the entire audio? The only solution I can see to work around this issue is to show the playbar at the bottom. This may work for now, but it does not encourage the end-user to complete the quiz. I would like to have the quiz force the end-user to complete the quiz and progress at their own pace. 

I recently downloaded and installed adobe captivate on my computer. I am the only employee at my agency that has a license. When I contact adobe captivate to get support, I am informed to contact my administror. Who is my administrator? Where can I get this infromation?

I'm trying to setup a collapsible menu that slides out with an button click. Functionally it works fine until I apply effects in advanced actions to make it slide in on show (Fly In From Left) and slide out on hide (Fly Out To Left). It works once, but if I click to open again, the menu does not appear. I am creating a software simulation assessment in Captivate 9.  Is there any way to have multiple failure prompts appear like you can with a quiz?  I have it set for 3 attempts, but I wanted a hint to appear after the second failed attempt.   I do that in quizzes by just changing the 2nd failure caption.  Is this possible in the simulation assessment?

I obviously copied and deleted a lot in a project. Now there is an item that appears to be displayed across the entire application and was originally a variable entered in a text field.However, this text field can no longer be found. In the first screen in which the item is displayed, you can see it both in the project and in the export. But you can't choose it. It also does not appear in the timeline in the previous screens - so it is not hidden. And it is not part of a foil master.Unfortunately, I still have to delete it. The project is still in Captivate 2017.Does somebody has any idea?

Hi, I just updated to the latest version of Captivate 2019 and am having issues opening published HTML5 modules in Chrome - they just won't open. They open in Edge but not Chrome. Any ideas why?  Also, sometimes when I open Captivate and then click File/Open, it freezes. I have to do a CTRL+ALT+Delete...  Thanks for the help!Michele
