Hi there,I created a file in CP 2019, as long as I did'nt publish it, the preview rendered the skin as set up. But as soon as I publish (to html) most of the skin buttons disappear and I can not get them back in the editor. I have set up my e-learning to use the play, and Back and Forward Buttons, and these are exactly the ones missing.I tried using another skin, I even tried to copy all my slides to a new project, its the same. What am I doing wrong? How can I get the needed buttons into the skin? Help Please.THXA.

I am trying to get a monthly subscription for Captivate. We are a County government and are tax exempt. I have left two voicemail messages at 1-800-872-3623. And the chat response also suggested I email adobecustomercare@adobe.com. I recieved a kick back from that email stating that I contacted an automated email account and to vidist adobe support for assistance. As far as I can tell that page has no assistance for this situation. I've seen a few other posts from some time back with the same issue but no resolution. Has anyone been able to do this?

Hello! Working on a project in Captivate 2019 currently that I've imported a slide video from YouTube for a section, using Media > Video > Slide Video > insert URL from YouTube. The video displays fine and plays in HTML5 preview. The video is a bit lenghty (6mins). I want to give learners an option to speed up 1.5x or even 2x. The YouTube video in the slide does not have any playback options in it. The playback bar in Captivate itself does not work either. I've tried the javascript method using a variable and playback rate to create a button, but it does not work here.var vid = $('video');vid[0].playbackRate = 1.5; Any thoughts or if this is possible? I just want the slide video to have some playback controls for speeds. Hopefully its something simple I've overlooked.

HelloI downloaded the app for the audio, but all the voices appear in English.How can I update the voice to Spanish?Thanks !

Hello,I published a course in Captivate 2017  in HTML5 format  and uploaded it into a LMS. The multple choice questions radio butons are not clickable by the user. Therefore, they cannot complete the module. Any help or hints about reloving this issue would greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kelvin

In Cap 9 we have the option to include states for objects. Anyone know what the "Retain State on Slide Revisit" check box does? I've played with it a bit and looked it up in the help but still don't see what it is supposed to do for us.I'd like to set up a navigation button that stays in a "checked state" once it is used and I was hoping this feature might help.

So I have a button issue.I have built a slide with content that blends in step by step, while a voice speaks and explains the stuff blended in. On exit, the slide pauses. The project has a playbar.I have a pop up with information in it (the pop up can be closed through a close button inside the pop up). So I built a button for blending in the pop up. This button appears at the beginning of the timeline and stays until the end. Because I want the users to be able to get the info in the pop up whenever they want to, while the audio/slide is still running.So my problem is, that no matter what, at some point the click on the buttons will always cause the users to jump onto the next slide.the function on the open button you see is alpha from-to, to make it look more smooth when landing on the slide.tried it without the function too, but this is not the problem it seems.Scenario 1:I move the pause of the buttons on the timeline to the very end of the slide and tick "keep playing the project"

I am new with advanced actions and can't find what I am looking for....I am on Captivate 9.  I want the user to be able to click on the blue circles below and have a caption(words) popup and explain the item, then change color (to show they have already read that caption).  Then have the user click on another circle and have that caption/words popup.  Is this an advanced action item or is there an easier way.  I am not quite understanding advanced actions, after the research I have done.I can't use a button, b/c it's square.  I thought about a click box, but then the color of the circle won't change.Thank you!!!!Angela

I'm trying to update a project and when I try to create a new slide and change the properties of smart shapes and text captions they won't change.All help will be appreciated.Susan

Hi,Working in Windows 10 Enterprise and Captivate 2017, I've added a video as Progressive Download on to one of the slides in a course.My question is when the audio portion/video end is it possible to have the slide jump to the following slide or do the users have to manually click on the Exit button on the Playback bar to advance? Hi there,I developed some educational resources using the 2019 Captivate. I sent the published files to the company who looks after our website so that they could upload them. I also sent them the files for some of the non-standard fonts that I used in the text of the resources, asking them to embed those fonts in the website so that the html5 resources would use those fonts, and not the basic fonts that may be on the users' computers. The web developer sent me back this:'In order to integrate the fonts into the resource we need to upload them but also reference them on the resource code so it will check the local resource font.I have checked the one you indicated as an example, the "match the motto" resource (code), and I didn´t see or find where is the font chalkduster referenced on code or css.'Can anyone tell me where I might direct him to find the reference to the font in the code?Many thanks,Gene

When I publish my captivate file there is no problem, however when i then upload it to my LMS system there are watermarks or faded lines etc on some of the slide.  I have uploaded a few files with issue to separate LMS systems and the issue still recurs. I have tried adding in extra slides or taking away slides to eliminate the problem as well, however this has not worked. It seems to be an issue that occurs when in SCORM format and uploaded to any LMS system.It is most definitely an issue derived from captivate.There are no copy and pastes on any of the slides where this is being shown.Could someone please hep me with this

I am working on what will eventually be a drag and drop activity.  I have my drop sources and am trying to create the drop target.  The target is a dental instrument tray png and the sources are various dental instruments in png.  I want to have the tray contain some images of instruments to which the student will add more by dragging and dropping. I am having trouble layering the image of the png instruments that are not to be dragged onto the png image of my dental tray.  Any ideas on how to layer images on top of each other or bring to front, etc.?  Thank you!

Hello,This is a continuation of an earlier post. I received some great input on my problem. I thought I had it solved but the scenario is not working as intended.And yes this portion is not strictly learning per say but it is requested from a client.I have groups of slides. Each group consists of a handful of slides that has event video on each slide and nothing else. The videos autoplay. The user can enter these groups at any point and must watch each video before being redirected back to a main menu. So if the user enters on slide 2 the sequence should play as follows : 2, 3, 4, 1 and then redirected to a main menu.  To do this I followed some great guidance by a few experts on this forum. This is what I did.1. I created a variable  for each slide and gave it a value of 02. I then created conditional actions as follows3. I then run the AA on slide enter.The effect of doing is that the entire group is skipped and it plays the next slide after the group. Was hoping that someo

A coworker was working on a captivate 2017 presentation and his computer was working on an update in the background.  He hit save on the presentation, but before it finished saving his computer restarted because of the update.  Now when he tried and open the presentation he gets the attached pop up.

I want to prompt interactivity when video file is finished. As it is, the video just stays on the last frame and users don't know it's finished or could be just buffering or paused. Video length in seconds is not a reliable method because of differences in platforms. Can't Captivate pick up end of video as an event I can use to trigger an action?

Hi,I am building a small HR tool for our team to send to applicants invited for interviews with the organisation, As we have multiple sites it is not possible to send venue directions to all the applicants using this online information tool. Therefore I want the interviewee to type the postcode of their interview venue into a text field and on submit google maps to open at that location. I am an experienced user and confident in the creation of actions etc. but have not done this before so thought I would put it out there to save some time figuring it out. Any help would be appreciated.

HiI have quiz with reporting (using internal server) . When I'm doing publishing , using SWF output format, reporting working fine (window called "POST RESULTS" pops up after compliting the quiz - where i have to write something in name frame and something in email adress frame - then click on "send" button , rezults are going to server). When I have using HTML5 output format reporting don't work  ... why??

I want to put inside SCORM package my own HTML-page and open it then SCORM-course will be publish in my LMS.  So I tried to use web-object in Adobe Captivate and in Address bar inputted /page.html.     Then I published course in SCORM 1.2 and putted my page.html inside this ZIP-package.       After that I publish this course in Moodle LMS and SCORM-cloud.But then this course was launched  in both systems - page.html does not appear on slide!  In this case I tried to put my page.html inside SCORM package and after publishing to LMS it must be uploaded to LMS like uploading to web server.   As you see I try to use  relative link but it does not work.   What I do wrong?   Any suggestions?

Hello All,  I am using Captivate 2019 11.5.1.499. I created a responsive project and want to change the background image of one of the slides. The image size is large, but no matter how I try to edit the image, it is always imported at a size of 352x627 and is centered on the back of the slide. this leaves a lot of white space on either side. I have created different versions of the image, but when it is imported, it always reverts to 352x627. I am not using fluid boxes. Any ideas why this is happening?Cheers,Peter
