I'm reaching out for support on a strange Captivate 8 issue where the transcript of audio is not remaining on screen after the audio has played. In an ideal world, the user selects the Transcript button and the text remains until the user manually closes the box. This issue of text appears to be random as some slides which basically have the same structure sometimes show the captions all throughout, and sometimes they disappear. The normal behaviour we expect would be to remain on screen. We have tried numerous ways to attempt to resolve the problem:Moved pauses of buttons/clickboxes to kick in after/before the audio (sometimes, this worked) Reset and removed the transitions Removed the audio and added back in. Also tried renaming it so it becomes a new item in the library.Create a new slide. (sometimes this worked) Removed and re-added the captions.Re-timed the audio - delayed it a few seconds to start.Removed all buttons that pauses the slide. We have exhausted all options and hopin

I am a long-long-long time user (before RoboDemo).My eLearning has been upgraded over the years from RoboDemo to CP and up to CP2017 and now CP2019.  Most of my content is circa 2008 and newer.I converted all of my courses to HTML5 and that is deployed and running. I use a GIF preloader at 25%Auto-Play is OFF and I use images as the background for the PLAY triangle.I use SCORM 1.2ALL is fine in CP2017All projects have clean HTML5 InspectorNow I am playing with CP2019 and I cannot play any HTML5 output in any of my 128 Lessons.I get the first slide, I get the play triangle and I press it and it advances to a BLANK page.That blank page is just a cover page set at 3 seconds with no interactions, no transitions, no additional objects.I run Preview as HTML5 in Browser and this happens.I post to my LMS and this happensSame with Chrome or IE11 or EdgeI hacked a few of these lessons up to get them down to just 2 slides, no video, no playbar, no Skin, Etc.I disable the preloader and the ST

Hi there,for some reasons the Drag & Drop feature does not run on Interactive Whiteboards. I'm doing some tests with CP 2017 and the 2019 version. No way to let move the drag object over a drop one. Anyone has similar issues? K.

Hello,I am playing with the new interactive video feature in CP 11.The manual says;24. Then go to the overlay knowledge check slide.25. Go to the Properties Inspector and open the Quiz Inspector.26. Here, go to the Last Attempt and change the action to Jump to Bookmark and selectthe bookmark.Problem is... there isn't an option for 'last attempt'  (I am on/in KC  slide... you can see the rest below...)I see 'On Success' but not 'last attempt'  What did I miss??Help???

Just watched webinar from Adobe, was great.Can you add VR slides to a standard project and if so, can you view these slides in the course using the browser and not a VR headset?If so, what are the steps to make it happen?

A co-worker and I are creating different parts to the same captivate project.  When we are ready to combine what is the best way to make sure that all the advanced actions follow?  Our first attempt was not successful.  Everything except the advanced actions came over.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

Hi everyone,Using captivate 2019, I've created a drag and drop interaction and everything is working normally except for the shortcut function. In the past, I have moved the submit button off screen and enabled the shortcut to go to next slide upon "enter". However, as soon as I click off of the button after changing the shortcut key, Captivate removes this shortcut. I tried other shortcut options (numbers and letters) and the shortcut remains. It seems as though "enter" is the only shortcut that Captivate will not accept.

Hello,I'm building a course that has a navigation menu that slides out from the right. I have the SmartShape that serves as the background of the menu. When I click on the shape & go to the timing tab, I noticed that the entire animation section is greyed out. This a simple blank project. I even converted it to a responsive project & had the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thank you

Hi all! I create a little form in captivate that i want to put on my site. In the first slide there are some TEBs to let the user write name, email, company and function. I want to collect that imput in a .txt file or word or webpage or jpg or an email or everything, but i want to take this informations. Have you got a solution??

HelloI am doing a Adobe Captivate simulation recording on Excel and I have a problem.  When I click F4 to turn the values selected in to reference and absolute it does not work, when I am not recording it works.

I was able to preview slides earlier, now I get the local host and the circle of death. Does this just mean the preview system is down? Is there a way to fix it? I have closed Captivate and reopened but that did not work

My organization is having issues with videos playing in a web object using an embed code. The first problem is that we've been unable to make the "black bars" on the top/bottom or left/right (not at the same time) disappear.  Reducing the height, for example, instead ends up pushing the player bar off the bottom of the screen.  I've also had inconsistent results when I select the "Auto Load" checkbox.  In one project, when the box is unchecked you have to select the video twice to make it play.  Selecting the box results in your only having the select the video once.  However, in a similar project, you get the same result with an unchecked box but when you check the box the video doesn't want to actually load (get the spinning wheel of death).  Both videos were loaded to the streaming provider the same way...and the embed codes generated the same way...so we're scratching our heads trying to figure out what is going on.  We are using UStream as our st

I have a customer who has courses created using an open-source development tool and the end product is HTML5.  Is there a way to import and edit the course into Captivate?

I am having an issue with over lapping audio during my quizzes.  I have audio that reads the question and answers, and then secondary audio that provides feedback (correct, incorrect, etc.).  The problem is that if the learner answers (clicks submit button) the question before the first audio is finished, the secondary feedback audio overlaps the first audio.  If there a way to delay the feedback audio or hide the submit button until the initial audio is finished?

I am wondering if it is possible to create a motion path to have an object move and stay at the end point. I don't want the object to revert back to the start after it moves along the path, I need it to stay at the end point of the path. Is there a way to do that?

Hi Everyone,I'm new to Captivate and this forum so my apologies if this question is basic.I need to create a menu for users to make selections from. I need to create two separate columns/groups of options. Users would select an option or options from each column/group. I would like some selections in column/group A to preclude the user from selecting some selections in column/group B. I.e. if a user selects option 1 from column/group A, then the user would not be able to select option 1 from column/group B (just as an example). Ideally there would be a visual cue that the user could no longer select a particular option (like "graying out" the selection).Is this possible in Captivate? Good Morning!I am working on a web-based training using Captivate 9 (2017) that links to videos in another location - e.g. not embedded within the WBT.  The desire is to have the forward navigation (using custom navigation buttons) be disabled until the video has been viewed (or at least in part - roughly half).  The disabled navigation should only happen the first time the slide is viewed.  If the user returns to the slide, navigation should be available without being forced to wait or watch the video.  I am struggling to create the Conditional Action. Any insights on what variables and conditional action script?  I'm really drawing a blank. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There has been a lot of discussions around the autoplay not functioning in videos made by Captivate 2019.Since then I was playing with swf content and decided this year to move on to html5.I ran into the same problem but the situation seems worse: on most of my videos I don't even have that play button !I saw the workaround evoked by Lilybiri but no solution there for me.There is just a wheel turning endlessly. So all my videos are off and 400 students waiting for these.Go back to Flash and tell the students to install it, really ?Absolutely any help wanted.TIA,Serge

I have a .pdf form with checkboxes and two buttons - one button to clear the checkboxes and one to open another version of the form that is not fillable in another tab that is meant to be a printable copy.The .pdf form works flawlessly on its own, separate from the Captivate project.The final Captivate project has to be published in HTML5. When previewed or published in HTML5 the link for my forms described above react as follows: the button to clear the form always leaves at least one checkbox "checked" until pressed a second time, and the button to open the printable form in another tab does not open the other version of the form.Any suggestions on how to fix this issue are greatly appreciated!

Has anyone figured out how to display all seven clues? The box showing questions/number of attempts hides the last clue.Thanks!Diana 

Hi!My CC settings do not display the font size. No matter what size I set, it´s always displayed in 7px - way too small! Is it a bug or is there a workaround?
