I would like to know if there is a way to prevent a URL (that is part of a button) from opening automatically when the project plays? The point is to have the learner click on the button to visit the site at their leisure, not open automatically..

Hello, all.My apologies if this question has already been asked. I have searched the Captivate help forum for related posts and have yet to find what I need. I am very new to Captivate (just installed it several hours ago), so my question might sound a bit simplistic.I'm using Captivate 2017 on Windows 7.My goal is to create an educational video that teaches the viewer how to build a 3D model. The modelling process (done in a program called "Sketchup Make 2017") is very hotkey-intensive. In order for my video to be effective, I need Captivate to record and show each of my keystrokes (e.g., displaying "ctrl + Q" when I hold the control button down and press the "Q" key) and mouse clicks (i.e., R-click, L-click, and M-click).I have tried several ways to accomplish this. I tried recording a software simulation, but this did not capture all of my keystrokes, and it did not show different mouse clicks. I am using Captivate 2019 to create a quiz to play among a few groups of people. The players will have 15 seconds to 'buzz' to give their answer, upon which the moderator will indicate their answer and check if it is correct or not.This leaves me with an issue. If a player buzzes after 14 seconds, they are still within the time limit. However, our moderator will not have enough time left to indicate the answer before time runs out.My question: upon the slide timing out, I want to give the user another chance to answer. This should only be the case upon time-out, not when the answer given is wrong. Can anyone help me out here?

Hi, I have a question for a scalable project. Our customer rightly asked us to see to it that the TOC should not be visible anymore after navigating to a specific slide. Because as it is now, when you jump the video starts playing and you have to close the TOC manually after it covers 1/3 of the slide. Alternatively the silde should pause until the TOC is closed. I am very grateful for any suggestions.

HelloI am using adobe captivate 9 and need to split a simulation slide so I can delete the part that I don’t want. If there is no such feature in Adobe Captivate 9, is there a version that has it?

Hello can someone help with this issue I am having with Text Entry Boxes. I have Captivate 9.  I created a video and got the text entry boxes but now I cannot. I have check settings. I cannot even generate the Text Entry Box. It gives me a Select Box.  I have read some of the other comments regarding this but they don't seem to help me. I want to use the NeoSpeech in captivate. I downloaded voices which were some 1.7GB, installed it.This says that its a trial version, could someone help me with the link to download the full version of the captivate.Thanks in advance.

Hello,I just downloaded the Captivate 2017 and realized that the asset library and NeoSpeech voices are not linked to the new Captivate 2017 version. After looking at the folder directories, I see that this update doesn't override the existing Captivate 9 version and it's a standalone version in a separate file directory.My question: is there is an easy way to copy the same assets and voices from Cp9 to Captivate 2017 library. The voice package is too big and takes a long time to download it. I already have the file for Captivate 9; is there a short cut to use the same package (if the voices has not been updated) for Captivate 2017?  Can I just copy them to specific folder (?) that could be shared by both version of Captivate on my computer?Thanks,Maryam

Dear All,As of this morning when I tried to use the text to speech in Captivate 2017 ... it always defaults to Agnes (terrible voice). I can't use any other voice listed. First time it happened. I have reinstalled the voice package .. to no avail. Never happened with Captivate 9, which I still have and that can still use the voice Bridget (or others ..). Can anybody help or tell me who to contact to have an answer? Should I reinstall Captivate 2017?I am on Mac Book Air OS X 11 latest updates. I have restarted the computer and checked the HD for errors .. all checks out.Thanks in advance for your help.Luca

HiCan anyone recommend any professional sounding text to voice conversion options?My eLearning programme consists of a number of different 'stories'.  Each story needs to be narrated by a different type of person - old, young, male, female, poorly....etcI don't want the old style robotic voices, they need to be natural and believable.  My colleague looked online and found there to be tons of different companies offering a similar service but if anyone can recommend a good place to start that would be amazing! Looking tor some high quality voices that can be used for Captivate text-to-speech. We have already looked at Neo Speech and Loquendo voices. Need better quality than these 2 options. Prepared to pay for very high quality voices.

I am using Captivate 2017 with a default playbar configured in the Skin Editor.  We are trying to make our courseware 508 compliant but I'm running into an issue:While I can tab through a project that has been published to HTML5 or previewed as HTML5, pressing Enter when on a playbar control (rewind, forward, back, mute, any playbar control) does nothing.  The Enter key function is not an issue on a Click Box if a keyboard shortcut is defined; this is only an issue with the playbar.  To add to the mystery, Enter does appear to be work if published as SWF but we have a mandate not to use SWF.Can anyone help with this incredibly frustrating issue?Thanks! ~christel

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way a student can review the quiz in sections.Let me elaborate. I've got a course with four sections, and each section has a quiz element. Now if the student has to review the quiz results, they can only do that at the end of the quiz, which is a bummer, reinforcing learning here can get confusing as the four sections are different to each other. Is it possible to have four quiz results in one captivate file?Thanks in advance.

Hello Friends,  When I try to run a Captivate SCORM module in Chrome, I am now getting a warning about the the script is from an unauthenticated source. The site I am using is set to use HTTPS. Is there a security setting in Captivate that I must set so that I will no longer get this warning?Any ideas or suggestions?Sincerely,Peter

In other Adobe programs, holding down the Shift key while dragging an object will constrain the movement. This doesn't seem to work in Captivate. I often want to copy an object (Ctrl-drag) and constrain the movement at the same time. Does anyone know a shortcut key to hold down that will constrain movement in Captivate?

I can use the Javascript library jsPDF.js to create a PDF from user-entered variables in a Captivate file. Is there a way to do something similar with inserting variables into fields in a Word document? There is a website that offers a service to merge an online web form into a Word file, as the Word file is setup with fields where the information gets inserted, but I wanted to know if anyone knew of a way to do this using another method.

Hi everyone, I am trying to download a character. When it is downloaded a message pops up that says the character is in the assests folder but when i go to the assets folder it is not there. Does anyone know how to fix this or what I am doing wrong?
