Hello,I have had no problems with publishing simulations to my desktop in HTML5 format. They work fine when I use them on my desktop. I successfully uploaded one to Amazon S3. However, I was unsuccessful with the assessment version. I get an odd error message. Does anyone have experience with this and know how to correct it? I already double checked the files and made sure they were uploaded properly. This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. I am working in Captivate 2017 and have noticed every time I use a motion path on the entrance of a shape or text box, they display (or flicker) in their final position before the animation begins. I'm publishing in HTML5 and viewing in both Chrome and IE.  I've seen this issue reported in previous version of Captivate, but I haven't seen a fix.

After using Captivate for years without this occuring, just this week I have accidently hit the Ctrl + W shortcut and unexpectedly closed projects several times without saving.  I have learned that Captivate doesn't require a save when using this shortcut so I have lost significant progress each time i have done this ( I know i should save more frequently). My teammate also mentioned this happening to him too this week.  I am on version 11.8.1.2019.  Does anyone know if there is a way to disable certain keyboard shortcuts in Captivate? 

Hi. I am trying to create one flip-card per slide with the click-to-reveal widget (since there are currently layout issues with having more than 1 flip-card per slide; see my previous post). On the back of the flip card, in all views Desktop tablet and phone things look fine -- but the front of the card is bad news. The text blocks interfere with the image, and editing/re-sizing the image doesn't help. Further, in tablet view, the image is automatically cropped and zoomed-in on, which I don't want. Any ideas? Screenshots below. Thanks! 

Hello Captivate CommunityI am hoping there would be a way of setting up an advanced action incorporating a Vimeo video playing through a web element, with the aim to hide the net button until the viewer has watched the video. I have twelve SCORMs with different lengths of videos, and my current "dummy" solution is to hide the button for the amount of seconds (minutes) I know the video is long, then to make the button fade in on the timeline after that time.Is there any way of tracking when the user clicks the web element (to click play in the vimeo playbar), and then to add an amount of time to hide the button with an action?Might it even be possible to track when the video has finished playing? I am guessing that would mean I can use one generic action for each video, no matter the length.Or is my only solution to use the timeline length?Insights appreciated.

Hello,I was trying to use hotspot widget for building a quiz slide and was not able to resize the hotspot icon to cover a certain part of an image. I accomplished it using click boxes in CP 2019:Here is how it looks in new Captivate:So, is there a way to resize the hotspot icon in new captivate or achieve the desired result using any other functions?On another note, I would like to point out that the hotspot widget is not responsive for tablet and mobile: 

I am extrememly surprised no one has posted that the new version of Captivate is available to download. I just watched a webinar introducing all the new features and that's when I learned that the new version will NOT open Captivate 2019 files and there isn't a way to convert them. Adobe will stop supporting the 2019 version in 2028. The new Captivate seems fine and cool and all that, but it's still missing a lot of features that people have been asking for and missing some features that Captivate 2019 has. They said they will slowly add new features over time. I guess my team needs to decide whether we convert all our current lessons to the NEW Captivate, or look for another company's solution.  Just wondering what everyone else's thoughts are.... Here's the webinar recording. I am using an Apple Macbook Air with an M1 chip and the Ventura OS. I'm on an invidivual license. I've been trying to use this software all week and it keeps crashing, often resulting in losing unsaved work. Today it crashed 4 times in one hour. I am running version 11.8.1. Does anyone know if Ventura is supported in version 11.8.1? 

I am struggling with creating buttons that align with a specific brand identity in the new version of Captivate. There is only one entry box to change the padding, and it adds the padding on all sides. This is not typically how you design a button. You should have—at a minimum—the ability to add padding horizontally and vertically separately. The default padding is way too tight horizontally, but if I want to change that it adds vertical padding, too. Is there a way to only change the horizontal padding?  

Can you change padding or margins in the new version of captivate? I think the text to too close to the headings on many of the slides and on others, it's too far away. Is there a way to change the padding or margins?  

I'm trying to work out how to have both a custom state and a selected state. In the past, if I wanted a selected state I created a custom state and then used advanced actions that set that button to selected and the rest to normal. Doing it this way, any in-built visited sate gets overridden by the advanced action. The only way I can image doing it is with variables for each button and a bunch of conditional statesments one every button that check the variables of the other buttons to set them to visited or normal. That sounds really unweildy to me.Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello, Just wondering if anyone knows if we're able to embedd a 360 degree immersive video onto captivate and once published in the scorm it'll work okay and be immersive, I know we have 360 slides where we can add 360 images but wasn't sure if we have the capability for a video in captivate, my manager was asking me if we can do that. 

I am experiencing a problem with a project I created in Adobe Captivate 2019. The slides stop advancing after slide 35, but this issue only occurs when viewing the project on mobile devices. When I view the project on a desktop computer, it works fine and does not have this issue. The problem persists across different browsers on mobile devices and is not resolved by clearing the cache. What could be causing this mobile-specific problem, and how can it be addressed?

(Captivate 2019 on windows 11)I have some textboxes hidden. On screen is a button that , when clicked, should show the 3 textboxes one at a time.  But, when I wait before clickingg the button, the animation of the 3 textboxes has already occured, How can I get timing to begin upon button click?

HelloI am trying to use Advanced Actions in my quiz slides. I am using Captivate 2019 11.8.0I want my user to view/answer 3 questions. If they get any of them incorrect (after answering all 3) it would play a simulation slide. If they get them all correct, it would jump to the next question slide. I am self taught on Captivate and I cannot figure this out! Thank you in advance!

Hi guys, I have added text boxes over informaiton that I do not want displayed when turning the Captivate file into a video.When I check the timings on the text boxes, they commence at the beginning and go to the end of the entire slide, however when I run the video there is a split second that the text box is not displayed, then displaying the information that i do not want shown.Is there a way of fixing this?Judy

Hi all!I'm having a problem exporting Closed Caption text to Word - and it looks like another user posted about this September 2020. Doesn't look like she got a definitive reply. When I Export Project Captions and Closed Captions, the Word document is showing up empty. If I remove the Closed Captioned slides adn only have Project Captions, the export works fine. So the issue appears to be coming from the CCs. Has anyone else had this problem?

...Hello Captivaters !...As many of you, I couldn't wait to discover the brand new Captivate that we have waited for so long !... So yesterday I downloaded it... Watched all the videos tutorial which were available... And started to "play" with it...For me, at the first sight... It's not "charming" at all !!!... It's only available for responsive projects and so doesn't seem to offer all the opportunities that we had with the previous version... No more library... No more advanced or shared actions... And the personalizations seem limited to horizontal pre-formated "blocks"... I also discovered that my old projects opened by default (when double-clicked from my Windows Explorer) with the new version !!...So I desinstall it... for now... hoping that improvements will be done...And as I return to my "old" version this morning, I discover that a new update of Captivate was available !... It's now 11.8.2 !... And it changes its name !... Becoming now "Captivate Classic" !...And as I l

Gentlefolk,This could be an issue of being too clever by half, but...I have a Captivate project that has a certificate with user name and date inserted by advanced actions. That part works fine.I included a PRINT button at the bottom that when clicked executes:window.print(); The certificate displays at the far-right margin, making printout not correct. For if the the prinout is enlarged so it roughly covers a landscape letter, the certificate image then goes to a second page. I have, in Captivate, moved the image to the far left of the stage, and this helps, but then it makes the Captivate presentation look flaky. What I want is for the print command to center the image, not have it peg to the right side. Does this make any sense? Suggestions for a solution?  Thank you!

Hi All, Hope all is well. I just recently updated my captivate version to 11.8.1.219, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something in the publish setting. There was an issue in the resolution not appearing in full when I uploaded it on a LMS, please see attached image. I've asked my colleague which has 11.5.5.553 to use the same file and publish it on her end. its seems fine and gives the full resolution, please see attached image. another thing I noticed is that, my published zip file has 4.5mb while she got 3.6mb after publishing it. We tried to check but we got the same settings so far. I might missed something. Hoping someone can help me. Thank you so much!
