Installing CF10 64-bit Dev edition on Win 7-64 and Apache 64 bit. When I get to the Add Web Server Configuration and click on the Configuration Directory button to open the directory tree, the install freezes. I have to stop the install using the task manager. Any ideas what is causing the problem. It's like the java app for the directory tree is not initializing and just freezing up everything. Java 7 update 25 is installed.I was running CF9 with no problem on this machine. It was uninstalled before doing the CF10 install. I had no problems installing CF10 on my other machinethanks,Doug

I am getting "Executing the SQL statement is not allowed" for an INSERT cfquery that I'm running.  I checked the usual suspects:- DSN allows INSERT- I've seen reports online where certain field names or values are considered key words, so for protection CF blocks the query in this way (it would be nice if there was a different error message when it gets blocked this way vs. the DSN doesn't allow INSERT error message).  The field names and values were all benign strings, so it didn't seem like that.I took the same string for the query and ran it on another page and it ran fine (same DSN, too).

I have a list of courses that clients have signed up for. When I click on the view button, it lists all attendees for the course, shows a remove button and once they have completed a survey, it will show the survey button for perusal.The surveys that are showing up on the right are not the surveys for this particular course. My dilemma is that each student may have taken more than one course, thus completing more than one survey. I have been hacked by blackhat seo (type 1703) on 2 separate (and different providers) cold fusion instances.I am wondering if my form inputs are being hijacked with indection code and somehow the hackers are gaining access to my files.My files ultimately have a dozen or so links added to the bottom of the pages and I don't know how they are getting in. I have heard of vulnerabilities in the CFIDE folder on the server but my provider believes its in my code.Any insights are greatly appreciated.

Good day everyone,We had an older version of Cold Fusion running but needed to deal with the problems brought forward with Java 7 update 51.We have the most current version with all the patches installed - Server 10 patch 13We keep getting the message noted above when we launch a grid - the same problems as before on the older release of Cold Fusion.This leads me to believe that these issues are still outstanding in the current release.I tried to sign the jar file i"cfapplets.jar" but when I looked at the manifest it said "do not touch it - you will break it" - i tried and I broke it so I put it back.Any help would be very much appreciated - this is a time sensitive matter.Thank you and,Cheers, JK

I have the Thunder Beta installed as a standalone installation. I have also found this bug with Thunder installed as a plugin to EclipseSince using Thunder, I have noticed that my undo buffer is not working correctly. I get around 25-30 undos before Eclipse will no longer undo anything further.The undo history size setting defaults to something like 200 and I have tried upping it to 1000 to see if it helped.It doesn't seem to matter what I do, but I can only undo 25 or so actions before I can not undo anything.This happens with imported projects as well as new ones. Existing cfml/cfc files as well as newly created ones.

Hello,We are trying to create verity collections in CF9 and have successfully done so in the past. For some reason we are now getting errors and have not been able to find a resolution. Here are the errors:Error E0-0720 (I/O Filter): Could not load filter 'flt_kv -recognize -bifmime' which is named in your style.uni file.Warn E2-0527 (Document Index): Document 1 (140128011): Stream error (-2) - SKIPPINGWe can see in the debug info that verity is reading the database because the read record counts seem to be correct. went through our update cycle for our CF 10 admin for the latest updates.  We are now receiving the following error:"Error invoking CFC /CFIDE/Administrator/updates/download.cfc:internal server error [enable debugging by adding 'cfdebug' to your URL parameters to see more information]"Now the issue here is that even when ?cfdebug is added nothing comes up but the error.We have a non-standard configuration for our administrator, it does not reside in the the root as it kept making our compliance scans fail.  to resolve we had to move the administrator to our c:<newfolder>, so that the administator would not fail our scans because of the password being passed in plain text.Per the error we have checked to make sure that the download.cfc is in the proper location and has the proper permissions and access.After the updates we now receive the above mentioned errors. any assistance in resolving would be great.thanks in advance.

I've been having this problem recently with our server and I've never seen anything like it before.  I'm hoping someone in the community might be able to give me some guidance...We run a ColdFusion 10 Standard server (recently patched with update 12), which handles about 30 requests per second on average.Lately, we've been experiencing some very odd performance issues, so I've been leaving FusionReactor open on my screen pretty much all day long.  And what I've noticed is really bizarre.Periodically, the metrics graphs will show a drop-off in requests from the usual 20-40 to 0.  This last for about 5 seconds, and when the requests come back, they shoot right up to the max (our server set its max at 100).  It's almost as if something is blocking the requests from getting through for those few seconds, and then we get flooded all at once.  Either that, or FusionReactor isn't properly recording the traffic.  At one point this morning this was happening every

For years I have used one script that I found in a Ben Forte book to build membership-based ColdFusion sites. For some reason this Application.cfc script no longer works in IE9. I can still create login based sites using IE8 and Firefox with this very same script, with no problems. My question is two-fold: 1) Is this the proper way most people are still building membership-based CF sites, and 2) If this way is still acceptable, is there some workaround for IE9.Overview of Application CFC script:At each page request the Application.cfc file checks to see if the user is logged in. G'day,So we have a nice little aplication running on CF10 developer that has been built for approx ~5 users (more as we progress) on the local network (not on the internet) to update product details/quantities/schedule tasks/some pdf manipulation ect. Fairly basic stuff for the most part.I'm trying to get some clarification on the differences between CF10 Enterprise & CF10 Standard before purchasing. Google is not much help, neither is Adobe Customer Support. So we currently have the developers edition of CF10 which enables all the Enterprise features however this isn't really helping because we are looking at purchasing the Standard edition (to begin with). Hi all!We have a really strange problem on our newly installed W2K8 servers with CF9. A short overview of the set up:Server: W2K8 64-bit, IIS 7.5CF-server: CF 9,0,1,274733 Standard EditionThe problem is that while htm-files is secured by folder security, cfm-files in the same folder are accessible for all users. We've disabled "Anonymous Access" and enabled "Windows Authentication" (with NTLM as first enabled provider) in IIS.When monitoring the http-requests made for both the htm- and cfm-files we can see that both files behave the same in the two first steps of NTLM Authentication (as described here) but when the htm-file responds with a login prompt in step three (if you're not authorized), the cfm-file responds with a 200 response and the security rules of the folder/file doesn't seem to matter at all.We've searched around the net and can't really find anything like our problem. Whenever the application sees <cfclient> tag it generates a <script> tag for the same. Is there anyway you can generate a JavaScript file instead of returning the script tag in the response? This will certainly improve the performance of the application.

I've recently started using CFwheels. I am trying to update a database item by ID. Usually what I would do is have a hidden form field that passes an ID number in the value. Then I would run a query something like SET WHERE ID=#ID#. First problem...I am not sure how to set the value on the input control...I have - #checkBox(objectName="reqequip", property="#serial#", defaultValue="#serial#", label="")# #hiddenField(objectName="reqequip", property="#serial#", label="")#Which prints out this below. I thought property argument is supposed to define value but it is not. HiI'm runing ColdFusion 9.0.2 dev edition and I would like to setup a remote solr server. I setup 2 solr servers to test this:One with apache-solr and tomcat One with solr and jetty In the CF admin pannel I put the remote server info and submit the changes but it wont show the collections (not matter wich solr server I put). If I create a new collection it will show an error   Unable to create collection test1. Unable to create Solr collection test1. An error occurred while creating the collection: java.lang.RuntimeException. Check the Solr logs for more detail.there are no errors in the logs and I can see the new collection in the solr server but not in CF adminI believe I'm missing something in the CF server so any ideas would be appretiatedPS: Im runnin a 30day trial license to test this but I dont think it has a limitation is it?

I'm trying to use a JNDI data source in CF 10. We used to do it in CF 8 in the JRun admin, and was able to use data sources across coldFusion and java code. Any ideas on how to make it work in CF 10?
