I am running the 2023 Server Auto-Lockdown on one of my sites.  When running, it seemed fairly slow, but not horrible.  But it took multiple minutes. Now the Auto-Lockdown tool is at 100% (20 minutes), but it still has a message saying, 'Installing... App pool created!' and the bar is at 100%.  The last bits of the log are above.  Evidently the tool is very proud of creating the App pool...but doesn't seem to move on from that. Is there a way to check if the necessary changes have been made?  I need to run this on 5 other sites, just wanting to make sure it is actually doing something.   Thanks!

ColdFusion 2021 will not update through CFAdmin.  Download states "Starting Download".  However, this error is logged in cfusion/logs/update.log:  Not able to connect to Update Site: Connection Failure: Status code unavailable.

Hi Everyone,I am in the middle of creating a CSV file export.  I'm currently using the Java StringBuffer class to append my query data and then output the data using cfcontent.  Anyway, I noticed that the Zip Code field has removed the first leading zero.How can I modify my code to allow for the entire zip code to be displayed.  When I originally used cffile was able to wrap a variable in quotes and that preserved it.  However, I am not using cffile since it has slowed the export considerably.Also one of the address fields contained a comma that caused a blank column to be added - shifting some of my content. I've tried multiple installations now - completely new. After the configuration is complete, and I navigate to the Administrator > Settings Summary page, I get the following error: The getMachineUUID method was not found.Either there are no methods with the specified method name and argument types or the getMachineUUID method is overloaded with argument types that ColdFusion cannot decipher reliably. ColdFusion found 0 methods that match the provided arguments. If this is a Java object and you verified that the method exists, use the javacast function to reduce ambiguity. We updated to CF 2021 Update 10, and we're now seeing an odd error with CFPDF calls that utilize the write action. Essentially, we read a PDF from a network share (\\server\share\inputfile.pdf), do some work on it, then write out a new file in the same location (\\server\share\outputfile.pdf).We've recently been getting an "access denied" error when executing the CFPDF call that writes the file out.  The CF process absolutely has access to write to that network location, and looking at the event log on the server, I don't see any audit failures when the CFPDF call executes. As a workaround, we've changed the CFPDF call to output to an internal temp directory, then we use CFFILE to move the file to the network share.  This works fine. If anyone else seeing this behavior?The only changes to our server recently have been the installation of Windows Updates and CF 2021 Update 10.  I haven't yet had time to dig further, but I was wondering if anyone else h

I have a CF process where I click a submit button. Then I need the process to wait/pause for 30 seconds and then run another check. If the check is no the process ends. If the check is yes then i need the process to wait for 10 more seconds and then run the checks again. What is a good way to do this to get the processes to wait the 30 seconds and then the 10 seconds?

I am assisting in moving a site that was on CF11 to CF2021. There has been a lot to fix but I have had trouble on on instace in where there are client variables that are lost from one page to another. When a user logs in, client variables are set.However, when users click to go to a part of that websiet that uses Model Glue for this and only this folder, the client variables and session variables are cleared. Now, on CF 11, this worked no problem. The variables exist without issue. However, on CF2021, those variables are cleared. Now, yes, there is an Application.cfc within this folder and I suspect its the reason why this is cleared (there is no app.cfc in the folders before this again, old appliction not my code) The problem is, that there is code within this model glue folder that tries to refrence that now cleared (on CF2021) variable. I'm lookng for a good solution, is there a way to move that client information into this folder which is needed for some functionalit

I am moving an old application which is on a CF11 install to my CF2021 install.the code has worked fine for 10 years under CF11 i have code where after i am adding a product to my cart it its updating the database with the cart product information. it is running this code as part of a UPDATE cfquery and upating a user table: SET PreviousProduct_ID = '#Listfirst(Form.Product_ID)#', CF is complaining - Complex object types cannot be converted to simple values.but it is not a complext object it is a simple list productid numbers with commasthis is the variable output in the CF debugPRODUCT_ID=5332,5333,5334,5335,5336,5337,5338,5339,5340,5341,5342,5343,5344,5345,5346,5347,5348,5349,5350that is a list? not a complex object? works fine in CF11 but not in 2021 and i can not for the life of me fiture it out.Please help.   

Hi,Strangely, our CF 10 server has started to show "500 - Internal server error" whenever a CF error occurs, instead of the normal error message. The error is logged, but the front end shows the error 500 and nothing else. Normally, we'd see the error message and stack trace etc.How would I troubleshoot that?EDIT: This is a CF10 on IIS 8 Windows 2012 server, with update 11.Regards,MarkMessage was edited by: tribule

Hi, I'm in charge of supporting a legacy application that works with Coldfusion 9.0.1, it has a datasource that was pointing to a postgres 9 database, recently the database was upgraded to postgres 15, when making queries it works fine, but when trying to save or run certain functions I get the following error: "The root cause was that: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: This ResultSet is closed." Any help is much appreciated

We recently purchased 6 licenses for CF2021 Standard with the understanding that 1 license covers 2 cores, and we're intending to install this on 6 virtual machines configured with 1 socket/2 virtual processors (2 cores).  Unfortunately, I didn't realize that two of my servers were configured with 4 cores (2 sockets/4 virtual processors) when I did my first installations.  The License Usage tracking showed them as activated with 4 cores.  I had my sys admin restart the servers with 2 cores each (verified in Windows) and then deactivated and uninstalled CF2021 from each one.  I thought that by reinstalling, they would "reset", get a new device ID and activate with the correct number of cores.  However, after reinstalling, they still show up with the same device ID and are now "re"-activated, still with 4 cores.  My worry is that by each using up twice as many cores as they actually have, I'm going to run out of licenses before I can get all my servers insta

Hi, this is a code block for a widget that displays several other items bought together when purchasing the current item on display on the web page. For some reason it only shows just 9(marked red)/22 of the items in it. Below this image, you'll also find the the other code blocks it connects to. I don't think the issue lays there as it's also connected to other products on the site and it displays every item within the file for those. Please advise on what it could be, I've been staring at it for too long. Root

We were applying the service releases last night to our recently upgraded Coldfusion 2021 server.  We are able to apply service releases up to #4 without any issue, however when I try and apply service release 5 or 6, the application sevice fails to start back up.  I even tried to restart it after it stops and it just continues to fail.  We have reverted back to service release 4 until we can figure this out.  I did notice that the Coldfusion ODBC server and agent dissappeared for a bit after the service release 5 and 6 were applied but then finally showed back up after about 4 or five minutes.  I also noticed in my current logs that whenever I restarted the application after a service release update, the service is trying to go out to the adobe license server but fails.  We did get the new server serial number validated and applied but we had to do it offline.  I don't know if either of these things are causing the main issue, but thought it was wort

We are migrating from Coldfusion 2018 to Coldfusion 2023. We run Enterprise Edition and have multiple instances. For secuity reasons we remove the HTTP listers after creating the instace by removing the connector from <server-dir>/runtime/conf/server.xml<Connector protocol="HTTP/1.1" port="8501" redirectPort="8445" connectionTimeout="20000" />This works fine in Coldfusion 2018  However after doing the same in Coldfusion 2023 the stop and restart actions aren't avaibleAfter adding the conenctor back into <server-dir>/runtime/conf/server.xml <Connector protocol="HTTP/1.1" port="8501" redirectPort="8445" connectionTimeout="20000" /> This the expected actions are avalible. From what i can tell eveything else works ok, including the restart after applying an update. I just wanted to check if I'm doing something wrong or if this a known issue or a bug. Thanks 

I am trying to use basic authentication with Solr and ColdFusion but am running into 2 issues. I have done the following: Create a security.json file (https://solr.apache.org/guide/7_2/basic-authentication-plugin.html).Put the security.json file in the C:\ColdFusionAdd-onServices\multicore directory of the ColdFusion server (ColdFusion 2021).Restart the ColdFusion 2021 Add-on Service service. I tested logging into the Solr Admin: http://127.0.0.1:8993/solr/ using the credentials from the security.json file.  Anonymous access is now prohibited and I am able to authenticate. Next I did the following: Login to the CFADMIN.Click the Data & Services icon on the left.Click the Solr Server link in the top navigation.Under Advanced Settings enter the credentials from the security.json file into the User name and Password fields.Click the Submit Changes button. Issue 1: The collections are not available in CFADMIN > Data & Services > ColdFusion C

We did an upgrade last night from Coldfusion 2018 to CF 2021.  The installation upgrade went fine but now it takes several minutes, 3 to 5 minutes, for the application server to start and sometimes we have to restart it because it fails.  The CF administrator is working as well as the website.  There is no noticeable performance differences in that part once the cf 2021 app server was running, however, when we tried to start appling the service releases, we only made it up to release 5 before it failed to start back up.  Each patch release said it completed without issue but it would just take a while for the app server to reload.  The Virtual server has dual CPUs allocated, 8GB of memory, and 30GB of C drive storage space. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to look to find the issue?

Installing ColdFuson 2023, got the step that says "you need to do offline activation" and it is already activated.In theory this server has no internet access - and I did not press any activation buttons anyway.Just wanted to confirm this is nothing to worry about (maybe the ColdFusion elves were busy last night).
