After updating my window, I can't access scheduled task tab in CF administrator.I got an error as below:Therefore I can't access the cfschedule tag in my application. Centos 7.9ColdFusion 2021 w/ Update1Apache 2.4.6Connector version:321158 I have noticed that when using Apache via the connector to serve ColdFusion pages that over time the server quits responding.  Looking in the mod_jk.log I see:[info] ajp_connection_tcp_get_message::jk_ajp_common.c (1443) : (cfusion) can't receive the response header message from tomcat, tomcat (127.0.0.1:8020) has forced a connection close for socket 13[error] ajp_get_reply:: jk_ajp_common.c (2420) : (cfusion) Tomcat is down or refused connection. No response has been sent to the client (yet)[info] ajp_service::jk_ajp_common.c (3000) : (cfusion) sending request to tomcat failed (recoverable),  (attempt=1) Checking netstat I see thousands of connections in the CLOSE_WAIT state.  Restarting Apache does not clear the hung socketsRestarting ColdFusion does clear them Using the built-in Tomcat server on port 8500 I do not see this issue.Is this an Apache problem or a connector pr

Our applications make a good number of external API calls using <cfhttp>.  I noticed that EVERY http call is logged in ColdFusion-out.log and based on how many calls we make the log files are in the GB range. Our ColdFusion-out.log is filled with millions of records that nobody looks at and I would like to stoplogging this data and creating enourmous log files.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using CF REST Services and we would like to send back a detailed error struct when a requestor submits data that does not pass our internal validation check. I am using setRestResponse to manipulate the status code (which works fine on all accounts). However when someone fails validation I would like to send a struct back to the user with a 400 or a 401. My research lead me to putting the struct in the "content" part of my return struct to setRestResponse however when I do that, I get the correct statuscode but not the JSON struct of the error detail.One thing Im observing is my api seems to be returning HTML, even though I have set the "produces" attribute of my function to "application/json". I have also set the function to void since we are using setRestResponse. Can you help me figure out how to send back an error detail struct with a 400 error? What exactly needs to happen to make the API respond with JSON beyond what Ive done already? Ive included a snippet of my code.

Hi folks - I was wondering has anybody been successful in implementing CFDOCUMENT with PDF and a web page using CSS 1 or CSS 2? When I display my web page in my browser (IE 6), it renders completely perfect. When I pushed it through CFDOCUMENT, it gets messed up when it is rendered. I am open to ideas, suggestions, and other creative solutions. I have already tried CFHTTP, and it won't work because of the tight environment we have in the office. I can post my code if requested. We all know the benefits of being able to write `this.datasource` in your Application.cfc. However, does anyone know if there's a way to override or change this value elseware in the app? For example, you might have a configuration CFC or JSON file that would need the App to use a different `this.datasource` value.   It would be great to be able to change this on the fly if needed.My only theory as of now (untested) would be to create a method in the Application.cfc which would re-assign the datasource dynamically like this:function setDatasource() { // read configuration file... this.datasource = 'foo'; }You could then call this method somewhere in your app using the application scope like this:`application.setDatasource()`Any thoughts or input would be most welcome 🙂

I am attempting to import users into the ColdFusion API manager through a user store. My issue is that the AES encrypted password that I am pulling from the DB user store is not working when combined with the Password Cipher Algorith (AES) and Password Cipher Key (AES Key) columns. The rest of the process is working correctly as users are being imported, but when attempting to login as said users, the password does not work.  If there is a known issue with this or a proper way to set up the encryption key/has, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. The Adobe documentation on this feature does not even include these fields. 

Hi,Using coldfusion 16 and backend sqlserver. Have a product table whose name field is of data type "nvarchar(250)". Have data to insert which contain special characters like Apostrophe (‘), Ampersand (&), Trademark (™), Circle R (®), Copyright – Circle C (©)Now, it's storing in DB these characters like '?'.Is it possible to store the characters as such in DB?Please advise​

Hi, all - When I follow the instructions here and run the following commands:docker pull public.ecr.aws/adobe/coldfusion:latestdocker run --rm -it public.ecr.aws/adobe/coldfusion:latest info I get the following results:ColdFusion Server Base Version: 2021,0,0,323925 It appears the image is being pulled down without Update 1. I am needing an image with Update 1 installed. Can somone advise on how to pull an image with the latest 2021 version? Thanks,- Jordan

Trying to upgrade to CF2021 and getting CORS errors on 1 of three apps.  Have attempted to instal IIS CORS Module, and added web.configs to both app, and then cf_scripts for the CORS settings.  That did not correct the 401 error. This is occuring on file get operation, even when tryign to fetch a file by url directly, such as http://localhost/cf_scripts/scripts/ajax/package/cfajax.js.  So the cfheader for CORS not helping here either.I have also attempted to use the Enable CORS in CFIDE and that had no effect either.  

Does the EOL on the ADOBE product Lifecycle matrix indicate there will be no new security/vulnerability patch access for owners of this software?

Version: Adobe ColdFusion 2021 EnterpriseOS: Windows 2016 (Azure)I know this has been addressed in the past, with the solution being to not run your coldfusion service on a domain account, however I am required to for security purposes. When I attempt to SFTP using CFFTP to certain servers using a key and a username, with ColdFusion running on a domain service account, it gets into a standoff with the SSH service that never ends.   I looked around for JSchd documentation on system configuration variables that I could inject into the jvm.config, but could find not any that would allow me to test shutting of Kerberos as an authication method.  Has anyone found a solution yet that allows for CFFTP to work over secure SSH that allows for the ColdFusion server to run on a domain account?  I don't think I can ask the SFTP server folks to shut off certain authentication methods at this point. The SFTP service is running on RHEL, it's on a separate domai

Has anyone experienced a false error when running the analzer? It returned an error for CFOBJECT saying "ColdFusion 2021 has modified the usage of system function CreateObject. The value 'corba' for the parameter 'type' has been removed."When I look at the file higlighted it doesn't use corba. We don't use this on the whole site.When I use the CF file containing this code it actually works and doesn't error so that doesn't explain why the analyzer picked it up. The second  error higlighted was with the CFDOCUMENT tag:"ColdFusion 2021 has modified the usage of CFDocument tag. The usage of the attribute format="Flashpaper" has been retired."Again, the file it highlighted doesn't use flashpaper, it uses PDF so I'm not sure why the analyzer considers this an error. Any ideas gratefully received. We're looking to upgrade to 2021 and want to be confident we've prepared for any code changes needed.

Thank you for all who have tried to help with this.I have finally completed a successful install of 2021- ASAPI filters now show tomcat, and wsconfig works now.My local IIS server is localhost port 80, but CF would not allow that port so I installed in C:\inetpub\cfusion.Both directories can be browsed but only 8500 resolves CF pages including Admin.localhost only can browse html- not cfm.I may be confused here as to what importance the install directory plays- IOW no matter where on my local machine in installs, its wwwroot is "hot".Also during the install it chose my local workstation (DESKTOP-3KI1IUU) - the ASAPI filters were istalled correcty, but still had not installed in the directory below it- default website so I entered it manually. Now my IDE browses HTML but not CF as I stated above. See below for images - thanks again.

Hello againI've uninstalled/reinstalled CF 2021.Install does not cofigure IIS and can not access wsconfig.exe post install. Errors out.This is becomming frustrating, as I never had any such issues starting back before MX.The old install of CF 2016 is long gone.With screenshots I am providing, ids there anything that stands out?Thank You!

Simplest explanation is that we created our site, added a simple index.cfm file and it works if url like this: http://localhost if we go to http://localhost/index.cfm the browser downloads the index.cfm as a text file and the contents of the file is the isapi dll.It's any cfm/cfc/cfml/etc file in the url directly does this.we discovered it with the site, but it's the same issue with the basic default website and a plain index.cfm file.

I'm trying to plan how to authorize users to access a page, based on the currency of their subscription payments. They might pay a typical one month in advance subscription each month, or they might pay six months or a year in advance (possibly with a discount).  I'm thinking I would control access through, for instance, "ExpireDate > today()". And I would calculate ExpireDate, based on payments. This is completely new to me, and web searches get me into software companies' software subscriptions—no how-tos. How would you handle this? I will create another table to record the user's payments.  If you know of an online resource that discusses this topic, please share! Thanks!John

I'm currently having issues with our ColdFusion 2018 Application Server in production. If we need to restart the ColdFusion 2018 service or the server reboots after patching, the SQL Server DSN fails to connect to the database with the message that it "Timed out trying to establish a connection." The only way we have found to resolve this issue is to delete the DSN and recreate it. The operating system is Windows Server 2016 and the Java JVM is Java SE 11.0.12. Our instance of ColdFusion is up-to-date with current patches. The database is SQL Server 2019. We are using a trusted connection to the database (i.e., the ColdFusion AD service account has a login entry in the database).We are running ColdFusion 2016 in development and connecting to SQL Server 2019 and do not have these issues. We have various other DSNs that connect to an Oracle 19c database and none of these DSNs experience connectivity issues after service restart or server reboot. It is only the SQL Server.

I am trying to troubleshoot some issues related to User Management and the new IDP/SP pages of the administrator.I created a user and granted access to Security > SAML in the user manager.  Saved the user and when I log into the account, it shows only IDP/SP pages.  However, when I click on a IDP or the button Add IDP or even the simialr ones in the SP configuration, I get the below lol.  Is there anyone whom fixed this?  Currently on CF2021 without the first patch..   Forbidden PageYou do not have permission to access the requested page. I'm trying to create a new instance using the CF2018 instance manager. I can see that the new instance folder is getting created and files were copied but the webpage never comes back to say that the process was completed. It happens whether I choose to create the windows service or not. I don't see any errors in the CF or Windows logs. I'm not sure what is supposed to happen once the folder is created and populated. Also, is there a way to manually install instances in CF2018?

Hi, The company has an application that stores the content of files uplaoded into an sql database table allowing for the content of those files to be rebuilt and downloaded as required using cf code.The code works perfectly in the application running cf9.1 on a window 2008 server When I run the identical code pointing to the same database running cf2021 on a windows 2016 server  the files are generated successfully however when they are opened they either generate an error within the default application used to open the file determined by the file extension  (eg ms word, xls, msg, etc ) and or advises there are permission errors preventing the file to be opened. Can anyone shed some light on what may be causing this and a possible solution Just recapping the cfm page generating the file, and the sql database, table, and the record being  used are idetical in both examples. The ony differnece is the working solution is running cf9.1 on windows server 2
