Hello,I would like to know if it's possible to use the projection tool with an alpha map?I'll use it with color only it work great but if I'll add a roughness it's make a  shiny square over and not the decal like with color only.It would be really good, if my substance that I am trying to paint in projection mode, allowed an alpha channel. It would work in the same way that the stencil does in brush mode, but be aligned with the projection material. Unless there is some way of doing this already that I'll forgot to do?How I'll can solve this problem?Thanks by advance for the advice.Best regard

Hello,I would like to know if there is a way to keep the size of my Udims exports from my 3D software?Genre 512x512 for 1, 1024 for the other ect.Because each time putting the sizes back in substance is tiring and wastes a lot of time.Keeping the (1001_name_size) anotation will also be cool.Is it possible?Is this planned?Thanks by advance for your help.Best regards.

AS3DP version 7.2.1 on WindowsUpon updating to the most recent version, the program stops responding every time I right click or click the display settings. Both times, It seems to be attempting to open a menu, because a black rectangle pops up. I am also getting a white screen and immediatly unresponsive on startup and this seemed to depend on the day for a while, but I have been getting it every time.  I reported this issue months ago, but it has been more frequent and has gotten in the way of work. I found only a temporary workaround was to delete the program from my registry and/or run as administrator. This is the only way I have been able to run the program currently. 

Hi We have several licenses of Substance Painter running on CentOS 7.7 these are on the legacy website, we need to purchase another license which needs to be done via Adobe. To test that everything works before purcahsing another license I thought I'd test with a trial version but I can't get the software to download, all I get is a message saing that you need to update your OS. We are running CentOS 7.7 which is higher than the requirements, is there any way that I can download the RPM, this is holding up our artists. Thanks

No offense but why would someone change those logos which are emblematic to the software to be conformed with the Adobe letters type which offers no originality no creativity and no identity?  Honestly they all look alike and I struggle finding them PS, PT, SD, MA whatever looks like crap.

Hi , as it says; I'd like to know how I can assign different shader models to my individual texture sets using the texture set settings [at least i think thats something to do with it;)? so im after the flow of how to assign a pbr metal rough shader to one texture set and a [different shader] e.g  pbr with alpha blending [for glass] to another texture set and its mesh.. thanks in advance. D  

Hi guys, is it a must that I switch the painter through the Adobe site/cloud or can I keep my substance account for a while?

当图层量多了后 图层栏里面的缩览图显示的会很缓慢 有时候很长时间都不会显示，还不如看后面的字。 希望删减掉缩览图或者把字调到前面，会提升这一块的体验感。还一个问题，就是文件夹关闭后，蒙版的拓展栏不会集合旗来，依然会把图层顶的很宽，既然关闭了文件夹，那就是处于‘敲定’状态，也希望能最小化显示单图层。区分查找起来也会很美观方便  

Hi there I have a question, if I have an object I want to render out, what a good idea to keep in mind when rendering it. I mean I want to render out my object to show in my portfolio but what is a good idea to keep in mind. Should I make my own background and put it in there to look presentable for my portfolio. Or is there a feature in substance painter I should use. Just like to know a good approach to showing a render image for my portfolio.

Hello.My problem is as follows. I am texturing an object I created in blender.For each part of the object that I want a different colour/texture on I saved as a separate material in blender.When I import the mesh I get the following shaders (as intended)When I am done with my texturing of each shader and I then export my maps, each individual shader gets its own set of maps.Like so.My workflow after this is to move the mesh into UE4 and then link the map files to a texture for a single mesh (the object I made) As you can imagine, having to link every set of maps to each individual shader is quite... tiresome.Does anyone know of a way to combine the maps so that I only need to link one set of maps? Thank you,Bjorn.(p.s, if the way I am doing this is incorrect, feel free to tell me. I am new to modeling/texturing and this is a method I thought could work)

Hello, i tried getting help on the Steam Community Forums, but was just talking to myself there.I hope i can get some help to solve the issue here.I bought the software on steam some weeks ago. After installation everything was fine.I started on one of my projects and used my second screen, for all the tool bars and windows, while using the first screen as a 2D / 3D space only. I do the same with many other types of software, such as Photoshop, Maya, 3dsMax, RizomUV and others. So far no issue on any of them.Now after starting Substance Painter (SP) in that mutli screen setup, i get a whitescreen on my first screen and some black squares where the tools should be on my second screen. The program doesn't respond and windows terminates it after a while. I tested deleting the regedit paths as suggested in the FAQ - which resulted in a one time startup without issues. But now the issue is back. I can replicate it pretty easy: if i set my system to only use my main screen, SP starts wi

I would like to use painter to improve my human texture with tools such as stamp, corrector, blender brush but it is impossible to work on a fill layer texture.I think the solution will be to convert my fill texture to a color layerIs there a possibility to convert my texture to a color layer?Thank you

Hello guys. I m a newbie in Substance Painter. I created a model in Blender and then I exported it to Marmoset. After that I exported it to Substance Painter. In Blender and in Marmoset model was ok but in SP strange edges appeared. That s my question: How to fix it?

I have created a new file containing only 1 layer, a material from Substance source. I have not modified the settings of the material.When I export the textures using "Document channels + Normal + AO (No alpha)" it creates a normal map that is visually identical to the one displayer in the viewport. Further, when using this material in the maya substance integration this is the same normal map that is generated, and, when using this material in designer it is the same normal map exported. However, if I use any other export preset in Substance painter (PBR, Arnold aiStandard, a custom template) the normal map looks very saturated and wrong! This is not an OpenGL/DX issue, both versions have this problem. What is the difference in the way the normal map is being interpreted using document channels vs the export templates? I am tempted to believe the document channels option is correct, since so many other substance systems generate the same output.Using Templates: Usi

Hello all, I was working a model I got froma  wesbite and I wanted to use a smart mask for a pattern. I unwrapped the UV for symmetry as well. The issue i'm facing is that the smart mask is generating a line down the middle of the mdeol and I dont know why.

I bought Substance Painter 2021 on Steam in a sale for 83€, which is clearly marked as version 2021 in the invoice as well as in the description. However, I only received the 2020 version of the Painter, this was loaded from Steam. However, why was this clearly marked as 2021? I can't open the files of my colleagues that were created on 2021 because I received the wrong version. Is this normal or is there actually a fault? I will of course contact support...

When I subscribed to the substance 3D suite, I was given 51 asset points to use in the Substance 3D assets library, but now I'm almost out of points. Do these refresh? If not, how do I get more?

Hi I am having a problem with susbtance painter, I can only work with one monitor because when I try to move any tab or the workspace to another one it freezes and crashes. Also even when im able to separate them and work with two monitors when I close and reopen painter it opens and freezes with a white screen and im unable to reopen painter unless I disable the second monitor to force painter to open it in just one screen. Also i try both painter version 2021.1.1 (7.1.1) and the latest adobe 3D painter. Both with the same problem. My current specs are Intel i7 10700k Gtx 3070 64 ram Please help!
