File sync messed up, Enterprise account

Enterprise account, Mac OS 13.6.1, CC 6.0.0.571.

I went on vacation for a few days. Back to work, and my Creative Cloud Files folder is all old files that have been deleted, and none of the stuff I was working on before I left. How do I fix that?

I fortunately have another backup and was able to access my files there. And I have mapped the CC syncing to a new folder. How do I prevent it from syncing the old files in the cloud to the new local folder?

As an aside, am I correct in my understanding that Creative Cloud file storage/syncing for Enterprise accounts will NOT be going away in February 2024?

Correct answer kglad

reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, restart your computer and recheck.
