Question

Adding new library item does not work. Creates new library called 'same name (recovered)'

Hello,

I have tried my best to find other people with this problem but I've had no luck.

I share a couple of libraries with three of my coworkers. Everyone can edit, but it's mostly only me. Lately I have been experiencing this problem off and on. When I try to add a new item to one of the exisiting libraries, it pops up for about a second in the designated library, and then disappears. Then it creates a new library with the same name following by '(recoverd)'. This new library is a personal library so it is not shared with my coworkers.

Things I have tried:

- restarted my computer

- updating all adobe programs

- reinstalling all adobe programs

- called my company's IT helpdesk. They are not specialized in this topic.

- found this thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/creative-cloud-services-discussions/bug-cc-libraries-keep-reinitializing/m-p/10723406 But I can see all previously added library items and I can also use them.

I want to note that our company is in the process of updating all devices to windows 11. I already have it installed but some of my coworkers are still on windows 10. Before this update everything was working fine. I have had more issues with the transition to windows 11 so I would not be surprised if this is another one.

I cannot work efficiently like this. I hope someone recognizes this problem and can point me in the right direction. Thanks a lot in advance!

reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

Thanks, I tried this. It changed something, but it didn't solve the problem. I can see that the program tries to add it to the library, but it keeps loading endlessly.

is this a particular asset that causes the problem or everything.
