CC Libraries panels freezing and unresponsive, slow to upload

Hi!

I have been having an issue with my libraries being extremely slow for uploading, viewing, and even scrolling through the panel. I am drawing in Fresco, using Photoshop to label and upload to libraries, then animating in After Effects. My drawing canvas is large (6000x6000px) so I can zoom into the assets when I animate and there are a lot of assets in my libraries, but I've never had a problem in the past.

The past few weeks, I've only been able to upload two or three assets at a time before the library gives me spinning wheels in all the thumbnails and takes about five minutes to freak out before letting me put anything else in the library. At times, all the asset thumbnails are loaded, but it just won't let me drop in an asset.

In After Effects, the library panel will freeze and I won't be able to click or scroll. Closing and reopening the panel does not work. Restarting the program only lets me upload a few assets before it reloads or freezes again.

This has made libraries extremely annoying and hard to use as it's slowing down my workflow a ton. I've tried updating apps, downgrading apps, force quitting and restarting the library sync programs, and more things I've found on the forums.

I'm running on a 2021 MacBook Pro with the M1 Max chip on Sonoma 14.7.3. All Adobe apps are updated.

Thanks!

Hello, We are about 100 users affected by the problem. I can imagine the issue is not about the 100 laptops. There are a lot of others thread about this bug and we hope it gonna be fixed soon by Adobe.

SInce March 5th, they have identify the problem? ???? I have been having the same issue for months now. I was able to speak to an Adobe agent and if they are aware of problem, the agent had no clue on what to do. It is very frustrating when I have depended on it for years. If I had an other alternative I would have changed software already. Maybe I should consider Canva if frustration still persist.  It really ridiculous at this point.

reset your app

Restarting the desktop app doesn't help. Is that different than "reset"?

This is still unresolved. I see where Adobe said they fixed the problem with the CC Libraries Synchronizer update 4.09.20, but that doesn't appear to have solved anything. I'm on version CC Libraries Synchronizer 4.11.14 and all apps are updated. Restarting the desktop app doesn't help. My coworker and I continue to experience CC Libraries freezing and we have restart InDesign daily.

I've attached a screen recording taken after my libraries panel froze. It's the same thing everyone else has described where you click on items in your CC Libraries and nothing happens. Also, when it's frozen, the menu acts like a jpg so when you try to expand the panel everything in the menu stretches exactly the same way that an image would. I also noticed that the color of my shape would change slightly when I tried to open different submenus.

Mine freezes and basically turns raster. When you resize it, it just stretches. I'm SICK of having to close everything out and reopen the program to get it working again...

before you conclude that, at least, reset your cc app

I've reset the CC app multiple times an the problem persists.

I started a new library for the newest assets and it's working mostly fine now. Terrible work around since all my assets aren't in the same spot anymore, but the only way to keep working right now.

reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R
