Question

Cloud icon on my files in Finder

Hi - I am looking to cancel my Adobe Membership, as I am no longer freelancing and closing down my business, but I have this icon at the end of some of my files and nerver really understood what they were. I assumed they go to CC to save space, but I can't find anything there in my files.

I am concerned that if I cancel my plan, I will lose all the work that has the cloud icon. I would like to at least store all my most completed work.

This seems like a tag applied on it. If it is then this is a MAC OS feature. You can check by selecting the file in Finder, it will show in the detail pane. See a sample below. Having said that, do follow the suggestion made by @kglad because after cancellation you will be on free membership that gives you 2 GB of space and if you are using over 2 GB you are given 30 days to take a backup. However, rather than taking risk it's better to take a backup before cancellation.

before cancelling, move everything, you want to keep, from your cc storage to local storage (and outside of your cc sync folder),

use your cc desktop app to navigate to you cc web folders to see what you want to keep and to download.
