Each time I access a pdf file using Acrobat 9 Pro I receive th following message.

"Adobe Acrobat Updater has not been able to check for updates recently. Check online to see if solutions are available from the Adobe website."

I must select the option to close the pop up to continue working. This issue started only recently. How do I make this stop??

I should probably refine my statement as follows. I don't want to disable notification of Adobe updates when they are available. The problem here is that Adobe can't determine what updates may be available. How do I troubleshoot why the Updater can't check for updates?

Have you tried changing the preferences for the Updater, and then setting them back to whichever preference you want? Instructions are here: kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83813.html
