Ok I have read most of the other posts about this issue so i can categorically state the:

“You should have been able to deactivate these yourself via signing in to your Adobe account:  account.adobe.com

Once in there: Adobe Account > Plans > My Plans > Manage : Scroll to the bottom and it will show Activated Devices, where you can certainly deactivate even devices you no longer have access to.”

...route does not work as there are no devices visible to that account. Now, the reason for this is convoluted so here goes. We are based in Taiwan and bought 3 x Acrobat 2020 licenses through our in-house process. The license are perpetual software licenses and the only way I could have it accessible via the cloud was by registering them on the website above. This works and we can (have been able to) download from there when we migrate computers or work from home.

Problem is, we just upgraded our machines at work and I did the same at home so there are now multiple active licenses that I cannot deactivate because the machines were cleaned and reformatted and because of the convoluted registration method I outlined above...I cannot reactive older active licenses via the website UI!

What to do! these licenses were bloody expensive too!

if the computers with activations are no longer accessible, you can't deactivate.  you can use the 30 day trial and with significant effort you can repeatedly restore the trials.
