How to install CS3 on new computer when old computer crashed? Still have serial number.
Hello, all,
I work for a small non-profit and we have multiple Adobe licenses. Most of our computers run CS6, but we have several very old computers that run CS3. I used one of these old computers until recently, when the computer gave up the ghost. It was nearly 10 years old, no surprise there. It would be enormously helpful to me if I could reinstall Photoshop and InDesign on my new computer. I understand that I would need to run Java Legacy software in order to use CS3, and that is not an issue.
I still have the license key for the software. To be clear, we had Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard installed on the kaput computer. It was a Mac and my new computer is a Mac. I'm interested in reinstalling Photoshop and InDesign. I do not have access to the original installation media - I assume it was a CD. For what it's worth, I took this job about 3 years ago, and these licenses were purchased probably 6 years ago. My predecessor did not keep very tidy or thorough records and I have no way of knowing is she registered the products.
Because the computer is fried, does that mean I am unable to deactivate the license key, and therefore cannot ever use that license again? Is it possible to get installation media for Creative Suite 3 Design Standard?
Just FYI, we are purchasing a subscription to CC and that is a great soluation, but I would really like to savage this license if it is at all possible. I'm grateful for any and all advice!
Thanks!
