Question

Illustrator installation

Hello, I have the "Education" license (Student and Teacher) for Creative Cloud. I wish to install the desktop verison of the Illustrator App, but this option is not even shown when I log in to the Creative Cloud desktop. Instead, I see "Illustrator (Beta)" with an option to open in a browser. I am not sure why this is, can someone help? Thanks.

The same is true for other apps - Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.

Are desktop versions not available with "Education" licenses?

Are you logged in with your Student/Teacher Creative Cloud account ID?

1. Open CC Desktop App.
2. Click your Avatar (top right image) > Preferences > General tab > Settings. Select "Always keep Creative Cloud up to date."
3. Click on your Avatar again.
4. Sign-out of Creative Cloud.
5. Close all apps.
6. Restart your computer.
7. Open CC Desktop app.
8. Click your Avatar.
9. Sign-in with your paid ID and password.

From the Creative Cloud Desktop App,  click on the icons for Apps and Illustration (see screenshot).

Its not clear why admin should be involved. I have a personal yearly subscription with Adobe. Its just that I went for the "Student and Teacher" option because I teach at a college. Thanks.
