Problem reinstalling Acrobat Pro DC following upgrade to Windows 11.

I have recently had a problem with my laptop disk becoming corrupted. After rectifying the problems, I took the opportunity to upgrade to Windows 11 at the same time as reloading my software.

I have reloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro as per instructions and after the process completed, when the software was run, I was directed to a page to authenticate the software.  I then followed the link and logged into my Adobe account and agreed the terms of use, which appeared to work correctly. However, when I subsequently restarted Acrobat Pro, I was once again taken to the same authentication page once more. I then tried to log in using the alternative email address registered with the same result. I am able to log in to my Adobe account using either of the email addresses, and to go through the acceptance process for the terms of use, but this does not appear to register correctly and the software remains unuseable. Please can you assist?

did you use the cc desktop app to install acrobat?

Yes. The install appears to have run correcctly and after installation referred me to the authentication process, which I completed. However, each time I start the process I get stuck in the authentication loop - and cannot access the software.  I suspect Adobe have deliberately 'fixed' the authenticator so that iyt DOES NOT set the parameters required to access the software.  They have shot themselves in the foot, because although I MIGHT have paid for a one off upgrade. I will NOT pay a subscription as I only use the software infrequently (even though it is then brilliant).

the cc desktop app only installs subscription  apps, so i'm confused by your last post.

do you have an active subscription for acrobat?

or do you have a perpetual license for acrobat?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
