Thanks for the update, Mosquito60.  You are on the right track.  From the details in the install log, the installer is unable to extract files to the /.adobetemp/ folder on the root of the drive.

Since you have already disabled any security software that might be interfering with the process, then I would recommend as a next step you try under a newly created local administrator account, Mosquito60.  Information on how to set up a new local administrator account can be found at Adobe troubleshooting: Creating an admin account in Windows .

Branching to a new discussion.

Mosquito60 do you receive any specific errors when installing the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application on the Windows 10 computer?  What type of a Creative Cloud membership do you have?

I just replied online. Will paste here:

I am trying to download a trial version of Lightroom classic and it

stalls at 44% everytime. (tried at least 20 times over past couple of

days as I need this for a course tomorrow) Tried deleting the temp files

as suggested. Tried uninstalling Creative Cloud and then running the

Creative cloud cleaning tool. Etc Etc I'm not real techy so maybe not

doing things in the correct order. Very frustrating as this seems to be

an issue with Creative Cloud. What should be a simple process has taken

a very long frustrating time. (sorry to vent - doubt you own the company

lol) Here is the error I am getting -

Exit Code: 127
