Unable to install 11.0 standard on new laptop windows 8.1 previously purchased

I have a brand new computer (PC) with windows 8.1.  I bought Adobe Acrobat Standard version 11 about a year ago, and although I have my serial number, I can get it loaded from the Adobe website onto my new computer.  Does anyone have a solution for this?  Thanks.

    you can try using compatibility mode to install, or what error message do you see?
