Hi everybody, I am a little lost. Am using Dreamweaver for the first time and I am at the point of uploading to a server for the first time. Despite the fact that I am connected to the server (confirmed) - When clicking on 'synchronize', it says that it's not necessary and that's it. I understand if there would be no new adjustments, but I currently have nothing uploaded/exported yet... Hope it is something small. Thanks in advance.

I just noticed that a feature from Dreamweaver CS6, "Find in Selected Text", is missing in Dreamweaver CC. Any chance this will be coming back anytime soon? It was always helpful to be able to search just part of a big file.

Can I create custom font stacks permanently? Our department always uses the same font stack, but every time I start a new project I need to create it again, although the fonts are just three safe fonts, because Dreamweaver 2020 doesn't save it.

How do you fix this issue?  Also i have to repair Adobe CC everytime I open the program.  Why is that?

Hi.Our HTML files contain internal comments which want to strip for server upload. But we also want to keep the comments for later (internal) use. Is it possible to have Dreamweaver remove comments while uploading, just like it processes e.g. date information?Example: DW processes this date information to the current date and removes the surrounding comment.<!-- #BeginDate format:IS1 -->2020-09-08<!-- #EndDate --> Regards

I have a copy of Dreamweaver, dating back to 2012 and installed via a CD (I also have Lightroom v5 of similar vintage.). My computer has failed, cannot be repaired, and will now be replaced.  Can I just re-install from the old CD? How does Adobe know that I am not trying to install on an extra computer, but simply a replacement?  I don't want to use these old programs, because they work well for me.  Thanks for any advice.

After modifying a .php page, I PUT the page.  It appears to work, but then I look at the server directory, and the page has not be updated.  I can GET a page from the server and it updates my local drive.  I have uninstalled Dreamweaver and reinstalled it but same thing. Instead of updating the pagewhich is located in customcutstencil.com/public_html/quoteform4/, it creates a new directory, customcutstencil.com/quoteform4/ and places it in there.

I have a public/private key pair which I can connect to using the command line (linux subsystem in Windows 10) but when I try to create a server connection using Private Key File: and enter the username, point to the identity file (private key) and enter the passphrase, the FTP connection fails saying invalid username and password (as if it's trying to still send UN/PW creds).  I tail the logs on the server and am seeing the same information that the connection is closed due to invalid username and password (which it shouldn't be doing since this is an SSH key connection).  I've tried just regular open SSH keys and ppk formated keys with no joy.Has anyone else had this issue?   Does this side of the Authentication settings in Site Setup even work?

hi People,I've upgraded recently from a much older version of DW.two problems I've had in coding that are kind of annoying, but I don't how to turn them off.One is this automatic dark brown highlighting that happens with code I am working with in split view.  It darkens huge chunks of code and I can't see where my cursor is which is problematic.  Is there any way to turn this off or change the color of the highlight. the other problem is the preview of half of the split view acts like a live website and starts playing an MP3 file i have embedded and then actually clicks to a different page if I click on a live link on the preview section of the split screen.  how to disable this business so I can click on images, links etc in the preview screen and not have them act like a web browser. thanks for any assistance with this.

Sorry, new to DW.   In a multi-user environment, is it possible to set up a master DW environment on one machine to include remote servers, window settings, etc, and then export the entire setup profile for another user/employee to import? This would allow all users to have the same setup quickly.    Thanks so much, believe it or not, we are still using Expression Web. 

Hallo, seit dem ich an meiner Webseite arbeite, ist der Wurm drinn. Dremweaver erkennt nur Hyperlinks, die relativ zum Sammordner sind aber nicht die, die relativ zum Dokument sind in der Live ansicht, im Brauser und auf  dem Remote-Server ist es genau anders rum. Im Code selber findet er die Bilder auch nur, wenn der Pfad relativ zum Dokument sind, aber in der Liveansicht, werden sie dann Zeitgleich nicht mehr angezeigt. Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße Tini

Hello,I'm working in DW/Bootstrap and I actually never came across this before, but I have an image, looks fine in the desktop view, but when I make the screen smaller, the image gets all skewed and looks really bad. It can be seen here: http://kennelmannequins.se/1Alarm/hemlarm.html, not the header image, but the one in the container. I have tried to re-make the image several times, but I can't simply get it to work. If somebody could help me with this, I would be very grateful! Kind regards Carolin

I updated some slideshow pics we have on our home webpage and saved the dreamweaver file. Dreamweaver will show the updates in my browser if I delete my browsing history but it will not show updates in my browser if I do not delete my browsing history first. It just shows the old slideshow pictures. Any thing I can do in Dreamweaver to solve this? Otherwise, people who visit the website will just think it has not been getting updated unless they have deleted their files.

I was wondering, does Adobe keep a searchable list of certified Adobe Dreamweaver professionals?   Need to hire some help........

I currently have a website with only a button so that clients can schedule time with me.  The button is from my scheduling company and the website was built from a template on Weebly and the button was embedded into the template. I now want to add pages to the site with blog-style technical/mathematical entries.  I also want to add some text/about me to the main page with the button and also a sidebar there with info.  This new layout does not fit any Weebly template, but it is somewhat based on another webpage. Which product should I choose to create this new webpage?  I know no html/css but I am not afraid of learning.

Hi, got a weird one, probably Windows specific rather than Adobe, though I've been trying to find a solution for 40mins to no avail. I was in Dreamweaver and clicked on Files, Define Servers and the relevant window popped up.  I was trying to solve a laggy issue I'm having with Dreamweaver by turning off various things in Advanced and seeing if they helped.  Anyway, I flipped back to chrome to check on some suggestions for which settings to try and when I went back to Dreamweaver, the Define Servers window was hidden and Dreamweaver itself is locked - because the other window is open and needs to be closed.  But I can't get to the other window... It's not in Alt-tab, it's not in right click the icon on the taskbar, I can't restore down or minimise Dreamweaver, I can't even right click the icon and close the application.  Before I resort to Task Manager and a forced close, are there any suggestions for keyboard options?  I've tried Win-Shift-M, Win-Up,

I recently upgrated to DW 2020 from CS6 and the one feature I'm missing is the ability to search for and replace raw source code.  Now I have to look inside tags or something, which is irrelevant to what I need to do and actually more of a pain than a help.How do I restore the find and replace pure source code in this version?
