Hi Dreamweaver Community.  Im building for the BIGGEST project and I'm impressed that I was asked to design the website even I was doing good at website design. 你好！Hi!I wish to create an HTML/CSS/JS website, on which pages I can write both in English and Chinese caracters (international project around Chinese market).In DW, I have to choose between "UTF-8" for roman letters and two other alternative options for simplified (汉字) or traditional (漢字) Chinese caracters.Here is my question : what do I have to choose in order to / how can can I write mixed HTML pages with both Chinese and English content on the same page?Thanx for your insights 🙂      = 谢谢！

Hi together, I created a Page with several hotspots on an image- if you hover over the hotspots the images are swapping. Now I decided to have a custom cursor (css), which works absolutely fine in Firefox, but doesn't really work in Safari. The cursor needs to stay the same, in safari it changes when you hover over hotspots, into a pointer.Any solutions for this?  Thanks!

I've found the only way i can insert a background image in a div is if i include a bit of text (like the h iv'e used here), then sometimes later on i'll delete the text and the background image will stay, but other times the image will disappear too, what is going on? How do i do this properly? Also why hasn't the image centered as well as the letter???? 

Hi,I applied a red hex color with some alpha (transparency). All browsers render this just fine, except for Firefox. The red is so vivid it is painful on the eyes. Why such a drastic discrepancy? I have not experienced this before with color onscreen.Using a retina ready Apple Mac. Any ideas aside from altering the color I'd like to use? Is this really how the default color space is going to render? Seeking more information about why Firefox is doing this.Thank you.

Lately everytime I run Dreamweaver CS6 in my lap top under windows 10 all the windows background turn into a yellow color window, can anyone give me an idea how to fix this program? I am force to reset the default colors of windows 10  

Hi, I'm trying to insert a few SVG images into my dreamweaver page and no matter what the width and height values are the images always fill the entire width of the parent container. I can't get them to render at the size I've saved them at in Illustrator. I've tried adding a class to them with the max-width attribute, and that didn't work. I wrapped the images in a div container and attached a class to that, with a max-width attribute, and that didn't work either. If I have a svg image that measures 400px x 100px, how can I get it to render at that same size on the page?  Thanks for any help you can provide. Kind regards, Mark

I feel like my navigation and title are pushed to the bottom of my header because the logo is taking up the full width of the page? If that is the problem, how do i make it only take up as much space as it actually is?

My only guess in how to do this is making the header a class and making that class position: relative and position each navigation manually that way? If there's a better way, or a proper way to do it please let me know! This is my plan for the layout 

I had to repair an issue and I found a solution on this board but when I clicked on the link (multiple links), they go to the home page of the Community.   IE: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811 You must have changed the sub domain at one point which is https://community.adobe.com now so all of the older links are invalid now.  You may want to set up redirects from the old domain to the new one. Thanks

Has anyone gotten Dreamweaver to load in Mac OS Catalina? Any tips to get to load?  It crashes for me upon launch.  Thanks!!

I am trying to start up Dreamweaver, but it will not load past the boot up screen. It says that it is trying to "Initialize Files", but seems to get stuck there. Any idea what causes this and how I can fix it? I have rebooted my laptop, uninstalled/reinstalled the program, and Dreamweaver is up to date.

Any tips for ensuring a banner that falls beneath the header/nav bar keeps "locked" just below it?When I check responsive, it detaches and separates. Other point, this header bar shrinks a bit upon user scrolling or rather, when browser is collapsed.Is there a fix to keep that banner tightly snug under header/nav or do I need to write the media queries for the breakpoints to make fine adjustments? Thank you.

Before i adjusted the width of the image, it was centered, however it was also the full width of the page, which stretched the image. After the i adjust the width, it sits to the left of the page and i don't know why? Can someone help me to center it please?

I have a laptop that I use extensively for my simple web development. I use Dreamweaver CS 5.5 and have the CD for the software. I have no plans/desire to upgrade. It is critical that the move to a new machine works. I know the CS 5.5 is no longer supported, but I have no need to upgrade. Also, the Laptop I am moving to is running the same Windows 10 as the original laptop. If I uninstall the product from the first laptop, how can I be sure it will transfer to the other laptop?  I do not see ANYWHERE I can go to contact an Adobe person to assure the transfer goes properly... PLEASE ADVISE!!!

Is it possible to add an anchor-element to a link, which is located in a map/hotspot? Detailed: I have an image, in which I created several hotspots. These hotspots are links. Hovering over the hotspot-links changes the color of the hotspots and brings up some funny sounds.Problem: If you hover very fast, the sounds can't overlay each other. Hello everyone, I was wondering if my AMD Athlon II X4 620 Processor, 2.60 GHz can run any version of Dreamweaver well besides the 2020 version. I tried to use the 2020 version on my Windows 7 pc and the program was slow, laggy and sometimes crashed. Does Adobe allow access to older versions of their products?

I've been using Dreamweaver from the first versions...I tend to Open Multiple Tabs per site. (all the day to day editable files) If the computer or software NOT RESPONDING crashes.Reopen Documents failes to reopen them all.Where is the location of the prefs file that contains all file info to Re-Open on Startup?I'll simply back a copy up in case. Maybe Adobe just needs to create a feature to (Group) a projects that can be saved that would contain local file locations with a Preset Name. * And please allow tabs to be managed by some sort order LEFT to RIGHT. moving them in sequence on the tab bar is challenging. Feedback Please execute or inform.

Dreamweaver Library items have "Library/" added before each link ... so none of them work!  I've used Dreamweaver for many years and this is new.  The whole idea of using the Library is to make site updates easy.  the code should be palced in each .html file exaxctly as it is writen. With Library/ added each the inks do not point tothe proper place. What's up??

Moving Dreamweaver files to a new laptop. Dreamweaver CS5.5 Version 11.5  Build 5366 on old laptop. Reinstalled the program on the new laptop. Version 11.5 but BUILD 5315Assuming  an update happened along the way. All my SITE files are .site on the old laptop. The new laptop and older build will NOT open them. It wants .ste files.Naturally an update download is NOT in my download folder of applications.  How do I get the same build onto the new laptop?Thanks!

When I try to use Dreamweaver on my Macbook to open any .shtml file from my website "hi-sci.org",  both of the associated .css files plus the Header.shtml and Footer.shtml files are ignored when formatting the display.  What is even stranger is that when any .shtml file is opened my "Styles.css" file plus my "Horiontal_Menu.css" file  are replaced on the display by spurious "Styles.css" and "Horiontal_Menu.css" files which comprise little more than the statement "You don't have permission to access this resource". Even stranger yet is the fact that my identical version of Dreamweaver on my desktop Imac had no problem with any of the files on this website.  The two computers access the same set of files using Dropbox. Why should one computer work and not the other? Many thanks for any suggestions

Hi, for some time now I have been receiving an "access denied" message when I try and download a DW MX 2004 page to my home computer. Also, while I can upload a page I cannot upload "images". Permissions all seem to be correct. Would appreciate advice (my ex set up the site for me and I am not particularly tech savvy). Thanks.

I am trying to establish an anchor ID so I can link an html link to that anchor.  I can't find the properties box to set the anchor within DW CC 2020. Thanks!
