As a career visual designer who likes to dabble in web programming -- and began the process of "catching up" to today's advancements after 4-5 years away from the programming side of things -- I was ecstatic to learn that CSS-only animations are now a thing.Here is the basic method I researched and already began employing :a:hover {     animation: links .3s 1;     filter: brightness(125%);}@keyframes links {     from { filter: brightness(100%); }     to  { filter: brightness(125%); }}However, I just this morning came across this random bit of someone else's code :a {     transition: opacity 3s;}a:hover {     opacity: .8;}As much as the first solution works, the second seems to require way less code.So the question becomes, if I wanted every <a> tag to react on mouseover via a short 3s animation (using either 'opacity' or 'filter:brightness') how would I go

So...My local area of NA's website is complete & launched (w/ the help of some folks here...thanx).1) My original background image was 1950 X 1460 & about 1.2MB...it loaded slow...& because of the bootstrap template I used, you can only see the very top of it.2) I figured I could reduce file size & accomplish the same thing graphically by cropping the size to just the top.  When I did that...something in the code relative to it's position or display caused it to increase in size on the home page, showing only a small percentage of that cropped image (& ruining the look of it).  And...even that smaller image loaded slow.3) So...not knowing how to alter the code relative to the display of that more narrow image, I decide to use the original size image & optimize it for the web, which decreased it's file size down to 205 KB.  BUT...that image still loads slow!So I'm hoping someone can look at my home page code & tell me what is wrong...why the sm

I'm in a HTML class in high school and we are using dreamweaver, but need to use design view. It only shows code, split, and live view when its supposed to show a drop down arrow to show design view. When i open a new doc, it shows and stays as design like we need. But when we use the steps in the adobe files to follow along with the books, it doesn't show the drop down arrow. HiI've just upgraded to DW19 and I've found code hinting for MySQLi objects seems to be incomplete for some reason:For example, in previous versions of DW the code hint for $mysqli_result would include num_rowsHowever num_rows isn't on the list and, in fact, many things are missing from the list which would normally be suggested.Any ideas how to add them back in? So I've been using this great bit of code you guys passed on to me last week to make my site more responsive to mobile.@media screen and (max-width: 980px) { .example { font-size: .8em } }Only problem is, 980px happens to be the resolution of both my smart phone AND tablet. So when I target devices via resolution only, I cannot differentiate between the two, despite the fact that one is physically 3 times the size of the other and should not be serving the same layout.Since I want the tablet to display the exact same thing a desktop monitor would -- and simply want to target whatever is physically smaller than the average tablet (so, phones) -- how would I go about refining the code to target 'just phones'?I'd like phones to serve a very minimalist layout -- just a single zoomed-in text column -- but that looks awful on a tablet. I want to create a Horizontal Scroll. Hello, for two days every time I turn on my computer, Dreamweaver no longer compiles my SCSS.I have not changed any settings, my input and output folders are well configured.Last week when I had this problem I reinstalled Dreamweaver, deleted the site and recreated the site, after that the compilation worked again. This morning I uninstall, reinstall, it does not change anything, can not compile my SCSS file.To solve the problem, a colleague has to try to compile the file unsuccessfully on his computer. Following that I do not know why the compilation finally work for me.It's a big waste of time if I have this problem with every restart of the computer.Noted that both times I got this bug, there was windows update.Does anyone encounter similar compilation issues?I'm using latest DW version CC19.0 11193 editionThanks for your help

I am trying to make it easier for myself to make my websites. I use Fireworks to make the page and in Dreamweaver I add tables for the links and videos needed. Problem is the table moves all over the place making it difficult to adjust the links correctly to the image. I do not feel making 300 images to place in the tables are easy at all. Hence the way I am doing it.Is there any way to anchor the position of a table in place, so it wont move when adding other links and tables?Thanks for any help.

2 years back I generated a web in Dreamweaver with a number of links (around 300) to filmstrips i had generated using Bridge. These were working well in previous browsers and set it as a standalone DVD. I wanted to do some updates recently but when I tested the links the main pages load but the links to filmstrips just end up with the maggot chasing its tail in circles. I tested the original hard disk files and have the same problem. Any ideas how I can resolve this? ThanksMark

So I'm switching to Dreamweaver from sublime, sublime was good but Dreamweaver can easily maintain sites a little better. I have a question on how a site file uploading works. So currently right now I do something stupid but works to swap in-between Testing and final.What I do is I click dropdown "Local View" switch to "testing" then I click the dropdown again and go back to "local view" the put and get arrows say testing. To switch to final I do the same thing just instead of clicking "testing" in dropdown I click "final".My questions is that I wanna know is there a simpler way of switching between both? Also say my testing site is just the way I want it and I want to publish the site to the final but don't know what files I have changed?Again I'm new learning this program to be more productive. Am I the only one experiencing odd behaviour - Chrome v70 Mac.I can only drag the Chrome window to a new position on the screen if I click on the 'active tab'. It used to be that you could click anywhere inside the grey bar at the top and a drag the window to a new position. As far as I can see its stupid because if you happen to drag the tab off-screen you end up with half a browser window open which you cant drag back and have to close Chrome down to get rid of it????I dont use Chrome much so maybe Im doing something wrong? Maybe you can deactivate the tabs and just have the grey bar?Anyone else encountered this?Os

I want to create a Menu bar which is not standard on bootstrap ( Well I can't find it and not sure what to do) I wonder if anyone could give me any advice of how I could go about creating it please?.Menu 2 is open and all the other menu are closed. In Menu 2 there are 3 sub menu to choose from. Is there any way to update the version of Java RE in Dreamweaver CSS to the current version?

Mac OSX 10.13.6Dreamweaver CC 2018I have my site active in the Site Manager. When I view my html file in Chrome console, any javascript I type in there comes up as null. Same with Safari.When I drag the file from the folder onto Chrome and run the same javascript, it works.I tried resetting the preferences. No joy.I tried using the menu item "Real Time Preview" as well as the little preview icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and control-click the file tab, but nothing works. It opens, just won't give me a result with a simple javascript string.Any suggestions?

Hi, I use Dreamweaver to create emails for large mailing lists. Up until about 2 weeks ago, everything worked as usual, displayed properly in MS Outlook. Now MS Outlook (and maybe other desktop clients) are converted the html to an attachment, displaying nothing in the body of the email. Totally blank.These same emails look fine on my iPhone and are displaying correctly.Anyone run into this recently? Is it a bug with the new updates?Thanks,Pati

I'm fairly inexperienced here, but I'm having a problem with my latest dropdown menu on every page but my index ( tribalcodes.org ). The index is fine and it will allow me to open the "Tribes" menu, but it's at the bottom of every other page, however I'm unable to make it clickable and it won't allow it to open on any page but the index. Anyone able to see where the problem may lie?

Since installing the DW 2019 update, I can no longer sync changed files with the remote server.DW 2019 will go through the process of looking for changed files, but never presents the subsequent dialog box with a list of files to be uploaded. It just doesn't give you the changed files result and goes away. No files are uploaded. The connection to the server is fine since I can manually upload files with no problem.I have reinstalled the DW 2018 version, and it works as it should. I have uninstalled the 2019 version, reinstalled and it will sync with the server until you shut the system down. After that it will revert to not syncing files. This happens on 4 different systems, some are running the latest win 10 insider updates and others are running the last public release. The problem is not specific to a machine, hardware or software OS version. Have reported this as a bug, but have not received any feedback.

It's a jungle of parallax scrolling tutorials out there, but I can't find the right keywords to narrow it down to what I specifically need, which is : how do I make the contents of a div scroll slightly more slowly than the rest of the page, to give the impression that said contents exist one level below (in a virtual 3D space)?(Not fixed, not sideways, not following the mouse cursor... just a simple "scroll slower" space following the flow of the layout.)If this can only be done with an image (and not "the contents of a div") then can it be a background image? I pretty much gave up on straight <IMG> tags altogether and switched to background references years ago.Thanks!
