I have an html file with the file extension *.php. It is 95% straight html 5, with a few lines of php. If I choose Edit | Code | Apply Source Formatting, nothing happens. I can understand that DW might not format the php code (i.e., the code within "<?php" and "?>", but it also doesn't format any of the html (e.g., div's, p's, etc). Is this by design? I'm using DW 2017.0.1.Thanks!

I can use the built in "Preview on device" but this is limited to my own device.Resizing the preview screen, whether on live view or the browser is not the same as preview on actual mobile devices due to scaling affect and screen dimensions.Is there a way to preview my site on mobile emulators using dream weaver?Dan

A discussion yesterday interested and confused me enough that I decided to do a bit more digging around to find out what information I could pull up on the subject.An issue known as far back as late 2015 which affected only the Safari browser shrinking content onload, which had a specific width declared, was fixed by developers adding shrink-to-fit=no to the viewport meta tag. I think this must have escaped the attention of a number of developers, inclucing those at Bootstrap.Strangley Bootstrap has now included it in v4.2, (almost a year after the official realease of v4) when the Safari issue, according to some sources, is largely irrelevant now and has been for some time. Hello!Since DW 19.0 uses Bootstrap 4.0 are there any issues if I download Bootstrap 4.2.1 (compiled CSS and JS) and use this instead? I'd put BS 4.2.1 files along side 4.0 files and delete 4.0 files.Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm fairly new to DW and BS.- Brian

I accidentally hit Ctrl + Alt + down arrow key and my screen turned upside down .  Whoa!  It's even stranger when you try to use your mouse in this state.   Why would anybody want a keyboard shortcut for this?

Hi Guys I have created a responsive website using Bootstrap and Dreamweaver, at the beginning everything was fine but as I’ve created new pages. I have noticed that the home button is active/over on all pages. Instead of just when I’m on the home page only. I’m only just learning to code, but I have tried to find the relevant code for my menu bar but to no avail. I am assuming this is a coding issue am I right....?

Hi there. I am trying to open local .html file on Adobe Dreamveawer by clicking the links on the Live page. But these links do not redirect to the page. They are simply not clickable.For example when I click to the "Go to the next step..." link on live preview it does not redirect to the file and I am obligated to open the file on the file directory manually.Any advice appreciated.

Long time DW user, fairly new git user.  I have been successfully using the git integration with DW and able to update my remote repository with success.  I would change a file, stage it, commit it, and the Git Push button would show a number and would go away after a git push.  Seems all good.I recently accidentally clicked on the Fetch button in the Git panel and then the Git Push button displayed a number, 71, and no matter what I do now, the number doesn't clear, it just increments - even after a successful push to the remote repository (I can see the push on github.com).What do I have to do to clear this up?  Is it something I'm doing wrong, or a bug in DW?

So I just recently installed Windows 8 on my PC and I tried to install Dreamweaver using CC and it keeps throwing me this message."The procedure entry point AMTRetrieveLibraryPath could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014\Dreamweaver.exe"But when I went into that folder, I see Dreamweaver.exe in there. What is going on?

Hi,I feel some confused about the simultaneous existence of Adobe Fonts (aka Typekit) and also Adobe Edge Web Fonts. I has problems with the SYNC in Adobe Fonts. I have many of them ACTIVE but usually the system get unconnected and no more sync as if I had never activated the fonts. On the the other hand I open the Dreamweaver CC (the last) and on the Fonts Manager I find the option to include Adobe Edge Web Fonts. And the type faces I found there I like very much, better than the current Adobe Fonts site (which server is failing so often).My concern is: What does it have to do one with the other? Why Adobe Fonts in one side and ADOBE Edge web fonts on the other hand. Why Adobe company don't just UNIFY or JOIN both, and avoid silly confusions like mine? I am not asking how to use it, how to embed, how to install, no... but why use one instead of the other?Other thing within Dreamweaver: Why in the Fonts Manager interface, the Adobe Fonts are not shown there? I see only the edge web fon

I had all my files and apps transferred from one iMac to a new iMac. Now Dreamweaver CS6 says it is in a trial mode and that I need to register it with 15 days. When I enter the registration number, I'm told the SN is already in use. Apparently the application on my iMac doesn't know that. The Adobe help site never is able to pull up my customer records. All I get is an endless pinwheel. How will I find this post again? I have no idea.

Me again Is it possible to slant one side of a box container (div, span, a, etc.) so it looks like this?(Forget the units, I just grabbed this from a Google image search to illustrate the shape.)First question : I know I can use transform: skewX(20deg) to make both vertical sides slant this way... but what about just one, like the drawing?Follow-up question :When using skewX to tilt only the 2 vertical sides, the contents (for instance, an image, or text) will slant as well, along with the container. Is there a way (short of adding an inner div angled the exact opposite way) to keep the contents straight, while the container's sides are slanted? A property, for instance.Thanks.

Yes, I know it's VErY old now, but it's all I have and still works fine for my purposes I would like to add some new fonts, specifically some that can replace poor old oft maligned Comic Sans. I've d/l new .ttf files etc, and added them to c:\windows\fonts but I'm unsure how to get the new fonts to show up in DW. Several of the help pages I've found state to click on Tools or Modify, then Manage Fonts (or a similar relevant option) but I don't see any of those options in this old gal. And of course, even if I get them into DW, are they going to actually show up in a viewer's browser, if it is a font they may not have? Does the typical browser d/l them automatically on the other side so they can be rendered to the viewer? I think this is true, but won't swear to it.TIAElaineCharlotte, NC

Since 2004, where I started to use DW I miss a feature, which I consider is important for documents with extensive content.Every text processor software has that feature.I talk about a table of content.The function should create the TOC based on the headings of the document.The id attributes should be created based on the content of the specific heading.The TOC is useful for the user of the webpage and of course for the editor while he works at the document in the design view. It allows the editor to navigate easily in the content.What do you think about that idea for a future version of DW?And, independent of that:Do you know of any extension, which can add that TOC?Thanks.
