Questions

I have created a web site using bootstrap dropdown navigation. On my Gallery page and on three other pages I have used Flexslider to make a slideshow. On the pages where the slideshows are included the dropdown elements of the navigation bar don't work although the other links do work. I suspect it could be caused by a hierarchy of css but despite experiments I have failed to solve it. We just got Dreamweaver CC 2017 deployed to us a couple weeks ago.  I've noticed that the File > Import > Word Document option is missing.  If I try to open it directly, open with from Windows, or drag-and-drop I get a message saying it can't open .docx files.  When I search help, I see this article which makes me think it should still be there.  Still works fine in my CS6 installation.  I've been searching and can't find anything about the option missing.  The guy in IT who ran the deployment doesn't know why it would be missing.  Anybody have an idea why this could be missing and how I can restore the option?Running Windows 10 Ent 64-bit and Office 2014 32-bit.

When I do a simple find/replace it adds two line breaks right after the newly replaced item, which messes up my code and reeeeeallllllly frustrates me as I have to go back and fix this EVERY TIME. Anybody else seen this issue? The two images below show my original code vs. the find/replace code. (Changed 16-1502 to 16-1501)

Hello,I have ha Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 now since my Windows XP days.  When I upgraded my computer to Windows 7, it still worked great, with just as much functionality.  I even put in on my Windows 10 laptop, and still it worked just as good, again with no diminished functionality.  A few days ago, Macromedia Dreamweaver, for some reason stopped working on my Windows 7 machine.  Every time I open it, I get : Please reinstall software. I can't figure this out.  I reinstalled the software, I get the same error message.  To make things more bizarre, my Windows 10 machine still runs Macromedia Dreamweaver with no problems.Does anyone know of a fix? I don't want to just throw away the CD.

For the last 2 days the 'reply' button doesn't work plus the 'action' button doesnt do anything when clicked either, so you can't amend what has been posted.

Hi,I have had Malwarebytes flag the Dreamweaver executable as ransomware twice now. In between the first and second time I have since reformatted my computer.Is this a common problem with the two programs (or something similar to Malwarebytes)? I have searched Google a few times for the solution as well as these forums but to no avail.Versions of each software are below:Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2017Malwarebytes 3.0.6 with latest definitionsWindows 10 PC.

Installed 2017.1 today and noticing a lot of issues and had to rollback. I was short on time and not able to document all of the issues but firstly it overwrote all of my custom keyboard shortcuts. Seems like there were a bunch of new short cuts added that were in conflict with that I had. The should be a better system in place that if there are conflicting short cuts that the custom defined one's take precedent over the system. Or a way to manage conflicting shortcuts. There's also no way of easily getting to the system shortcut to change it with out going through each panel one at a time. Besides overwriting my custom keyboard shortcuts there seems to be an issue in general with keyboard shortcuts. At times when I did Ctrl + C it would jump to the top of the document instead of copying something. Also, trying to copy in and paste file in the file panel weren't working for me either.

I have two issues. I will preface this by saying my client wanted a certain bootstrap template. But then decided to have me change about 95% of it! I SHOULD just start from scratch but so far into it - I may redo it when I have time. But my issues are:1) I want to use the logo as a link back to index.html. It's coded properly, but I am not able to click on it. Do I need to change the z-index maybe?2) The template used fontawesome. When you adjust the browser window smaller, the typically 'hamburger' icon is missing. In fact, other icons throughout the site are not showing up either. I've checked all files are on server, but maybe in the course of changing sitewide styles (due to the extensive theme changes) I may have screwed something up? First, the responsive layout is dying. I've seen a lot of articles on famous blogs telling this, and I totally agree with it. I think people never liked responsive layouts but starting using only because they were forced to since designers decided this was the future of web design. And Adobe has a big part in it, creating the Dreamweaver CC that makes the task of creating fixed layout websites very hard. Yesterday I needed to create a simple site, nothing complicated.So, I thought it could be great to use one of the prebuilt Dreamweaver templates, but guess what? ALL of them are responsive? Hello, I created this layout on Photoshop and our professor wants us to create a dreamweaver website using Photoshop slices. Does anyone know how to create this in Dreamweaver? I understand creating the div boxes the size of the slices but I'm struggling on what should be relative or absolute positioning and I'm not sure what the float should be. Thanks!

Where is "Format" and "Align" options?

When I start Dreamweaver I do not want or need the welcome window when I open the program (Dreamweaver 7851 build).  It is slow and useless.How do I prevent it from opening/ turn it off when I start Dreamweaver please?  I cannot find the toggle switch!Thank youPaul

I see a new blue ruler at the top of the regular ruler i both the Split and Design view pages. What is it for? There's no tooltip describing its purpose or its appearance.Neither is the a deactivation button.Please help me find out why it's there? There's nothing intuitive about it.Thank you.Warren

Is there a way to get DW to use an outside source for Quick Docs? Like most programs allow you to sync with Dash. I have yet to find something quick docs comes up a result for anything so I think it isn't working anyway.

After reading several posts, I am still no wiser to understanding why when I add padding to a text inside a div - it's moving the div outside the fluid grid layout.I read one post that mentions I should add padding to the actual text using a new css rule, rather than adding the padding to the actual div itself - which I have tried to do, with no joy. The padding applied is still moving the div outside the fluid grid layout...If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would very much appreciate it. It's confusing for me. Does Adobe still offering or giving support to Adobe Extension Manager (*zxp extension)? If it's so, is it available for Dreamweaver CC 2017.01? I guess that now the extensions are gotten from Adobe Add Ons, right? But some extensions coming from Extend Studio or a Free PHP Gallery, require Dreamweaver version 9 or higher! and I have the last one. How come this contradiction?The confusing thing is that the same developers are promoted in the Adobe AddOns site and they recommend to use the extension manager in case we have troubles of installation. So, Adobe Sys. do not event verify if the third party extensions are fully installable with the correct extension managers or "helpers"? Or do I need downgrade my DW version only to use those extensions...? And the widget of the applications in the AddOn site says that they support CC 2017.Orientations, please. Extension Manager still works with DW CC 2017.0.1? My experience states that No. Thanks for your patience.PD.

Find in site is something I use semi regularly but I've literally been looking for half an hour and it seems to have been removed.Am I missing something?!

I tried lower case "I" tags around text, tried "em" tags around text, in both cases text was bold as well as italic.Also tried using CSS and getting the same result. Thanks for your help
