HiA couple of upgrades back my DW started to do something very annoying. When highlighting a piece of code or text in the preview pane the relevant code is at the bottom of the page. Similarly, if you hit cmd+, (on a mac) to search for a line the result is also at the bottom of the page. This is very annoying as you have to scroll up to work and that just take your eye off the exact point. Not an absolute disaster but if your working all day long those little 'eye off the ball' moments add up.In previous versions of DW these actions centred the relevant line in the pane and you could start work immediately.I have lived with this for a while hoping an ugrade would fix this but seemingly not. Also, it's one of those errors that's extremely difficult to google as it's hard to find a search phrase that will return what you want.Anyone any ideas?Thanks in advanceMartin

When I update a web page for a client, I get tired of telling them to load the page which is usually the previous web page version and then tell them to hit the browser refresh button.  Two questions:  1.  Can I add code to have the latest page always loaded?2.  If you don't hit the refresh button, how long does it take for a browser to finally load this new page, a day, 2 days, etc.Thanks.Don

Hi again. Thank you all so much for all your help so far. I have another question (surprise surprise). I am trying to Hyperlink an image to another page, but it is not making/using the actual Image as the link to be clicked on. Only the name I enter in the box - which appears under my image - is the link. I have copied & pasted the html as it appears in the code. Any other options available to use the actual image as the link ??thanks for any help given again. 

Okay so I don't know how to fix this...No matter what I change, it changes all the links, or it doesn't change it at all.See how the footer is all white because of the link? I need it to be black, while keeping the rest of my links white.

Hello,I am getting better at successfully using DW2017, after years of struggling with coding (older graphic designer-pre-computer). Now that Bootstrap is the way to go for responsive websites I am trying to learn how to integrate BS into my workflow. I am looking for tutorials (in depth projects, hands-on), working with BS. My concern also is the learning courses I have found on-line are just Bootstrap, with no mention of Dreamweaver (except the one-below). So I assume designers can use just BS, or integrate it with whatever program they are coding in, and it is not "only a part of DW".If I set up a site in DW, using all the required BS framework and files upon creation, can I then use the numerous online tutorials about BS, and be able to move along, create and understand even though I have set up the file in DW? Once I have my new BS file open in DW, and the code visible am I ready to follow along taking the "outside" BS courses?With that said, are there any recommendations of cours

Code navigator Alt+Click in code mode not working with DW CC 2017., only in Design or Live mode works. Any way to restore this functionality like it was in DW CC 2015?

My website is adlestropfamilyhistory.co.uk.When I 'put' webpages to the website, it doesn't update the pages which I have edited.I am very green when it comes to web technology. ipage used to host every aspect of my website. Back in June I decided to move to ehost for some aspect of the website as it was cheaper. Since then I haven't been able to update the pages (although the original pages appear to be fine). So now I pay ipage a small amount (I think this is for a domain name???) and a larger amount to ehost (I think this is for the website itself)Please help (but in basic terms as I am not great with this)!Thank youPaul

Have found a couple posts that relate to this subject, however, are all aimed at CC 2015 and the folders/files are different in CC 2017.  Did follow the steps from CEPHtmlEngine slows Computer (Mac) and solution. but hasnt made a blind bit of difference.  Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Dreamweaver, but again, no difference.Is there a CC 2017 specific solution to fixing this issue as Dreamweaver is totally unusable at the moment and I kinda need to get cracking on building a website.Cheers,D

Matching tags is a great feature but it bugs me that the whole matching tags change their font colours. I know how to define the colours of them in the main.less theme but I can't figure out how to change background only but keep the font colours. It would be useful to me as I use PHP scripts within the HTML tags and they all go black (or whatever colour I define in .CodeMirror-matchingtag class). If I remove the color: definition from there it turns white which is even worse.

I have changed computers and now I can't connect to the host to upload my new files.

I am developing a page in CS3...There is lots of white space at the top and bottom of thepage. How do I get rid of this?I have spent ages looking at various options but cannot get rid of it.  Any ideas please?Thanks in advanceIan

So, after having trouble with my Photoshop scratch disk, I had to do an archive and install of my Mac OS 10.6.1 then reinstall the Adobe suite. I then had to run the Licensing Repair Tool (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/licensing.html).Now everything works but Dreamweaver, which is throwing the following error:"Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the current menus.xml file.Please delete the current menus.xml file and rename menus.bak to menus.xml"I tried that. menus.bak is a directory, not a file. Even renaming the directory didn't work.I saw this http://forums.adobe.com/message/2188511#2188511but I don't have a /FlashPlayerTrust/ directory, nor do I see what that has to do with Dreamweaver.I couldn't find a corresponding solution for this http://forums.adobe.com/message/862339#862339 for the Mac OS.This http://forums.adobe.com/message/3396334#3396334 didn't help, either.Anybody have any ideas?Thanks!

Please help! i'm obviously no expert! but desperate to finish this website for my Dad asap!simplest thing to do is to show you my problem... on the index page of kennybarnesgang.co.uk, I just need to match the colours of the menu buttons to the rest of the scheme.. ie; change to the burgundyish with white text...It was done in CS6, I have the latest 2017 also, but can't find an answer anywhere. I am trying to remove the links to some titles of stories on my website, "On Being Real" and "Deep Waters" that are located to the right of a thumbnail at the bottom of my web page. Hello Dreamweaver Lovers!I know how to change code colors using the theme and main.less file. However, I cannot identify the selector that is turning my code to this light green color. I have checked every color in the main.less file and cannot seem to find it. As you can see, I can barely read it. This code is highlighted automatically when I select certain elements such as th, td, and p. Others, such as <table> will only highlight the word <table> but not the content inside. Same color as shown in this screenshot.Any idea what the selector is called?

I have a Creative Cloud subscription and have been using Dreamweaver CC.Today I downloaded Dreamweaver CC (2017).When I click on the application, there's a 1-second indication that the application is trying to open, but it does not open.  I saw one support comment to give read/write permissions to the Preference folder....but I don't find a preference folder anywhere in the Dreamweaver folder or in the general Acrobat folder.  Any ideas?
