Questions

I'm working on my new website and have a background that is fixed so it stays put when scrolling.  It works perfectly on the desktop, but does not work on mobile or tablets.  I'm a designer, not a coder, so it's probably something I did or didn't do. I have been using Dreamweaver as part of the Master Collection since CS5, Thursday January 26th, 2016 Adobe pre-sales chat informed me Dreamweaver CC 2017 will create XML Sitemaps.I was so happy to be informed of this, I bought Creative Cloud with all its apps.Now all I need is someone to explain why I can't find how to create XML Sitemaps in Dreamweaver, Google, this Forum or any where else on the Globe.

Hello-I am fairly new to Dreamweaver, but I have made some significant progress with a previous template to create an email announcement.I inserted a table and once I entered the information in a format I was happy with, I was attempting to resize it. Here is where the headache begins. I have tried the following:1. If I'm able to select the table (hover and click on the upper-left corner of the table), and then select "format" it brings up formatting handles in the live view.2. If I switch to design view, there are other tables from the existing template that appear, but my table does not appear.Ultimately, I'd like to be able to resize the table by dragging the handles around. I've seen other tutorials that show how to do this in design view, but since my table is not showing up, I'm not able to execute.I'm also dealing with a secondary issue all of a sudden now where even thought the max width is 620 px, there is grey on the side of that (double-click to fit width) that then screws u

I want to create a mobile app page in Dreamweaver 2017. Where is fluid grid layouts?

I'm using whatever the newest DW version on CC is. it seemed like a good idea to use a template. I chose the Responsive About Page in the Responsive Starters folder. Somewhere, it has a phone with a sad face included in it. Does that mean something? I would like to remove it. It shows for a brief second when the page starts up or gets refreshed.Thanks for insights.

I'm running Dreamweaver 2017.0.1 (Build 9346) on Windows 10 Pro (1607) 64-bit. I have an irritating issue I'd love resolving if anyone can help.When I click my mouse pointer within the main editing window and start typing nothing happens until I repeat the click, although I can see the cursor flashing I'm typing and nothing is happening. That in itself isn't that much of a problem, it becomes more problematic when I highlight a line of code and hit delete. This results in Dreamweaver trying to delete the last file I clicked on within the file manager. Fortunately there is a prompt to ask; am I sure want to delete the file, but it's only a matter of time before I accidentally hit return.Dreamweaver twitter support suggested I tried restoring preferences (details found here), but this had no effect.It's a major interruption on workflow and I'd love to fix it.

A few days ago, I did an online chat with an Adobe help rep to fix an issue I was having with Dreamweaver (it would always crash immediately upon opening). I allowed the help rep to access my computer remotely, and he was able to resolve that problem. However, after having that done, I started having other issues. I found that the FTP feature in Dreamweaver will not work (can't connect to the host), and in fact, another FTP program I had been able to use with no problem (FileZilla) suddenly couldn't connect to the host either (same host--it's for college courses I'm taking). I know it's not due to problems with the host server or my log in credentials (I've tested it on another person's computer and found that I could connect), so I'm concerned that the Adobe rep, in fixing one problem, might have unintentionally caused some other problems with my computer. I'm in the process of working off creating a website which is in responsive (RWD) design.  However, when I try to load a font with the following media query everything appears fine and the page (which at this point is only a one column grid) images and video shrink to fit the smaller screen of my iPhone 6Plus. Unfortunately, the @11220649-face is not working on the iPhone (I haven't tried it on my tablet yet).Here is my .css code for the smart phone media query..@media screen and (max-width: 580px;){ ul li {float: none;} @11220649-face {  font-family: "Racer";  url('../fonts/racer.woff#Racer') format('woff'); } }Like I said the responsive design of the site works fine on the desktop and the correct ("Racer") font appears however the iPhone is not displaying the "Racer" font and instead display a default font...  Which is not the desired effect.Any ideas?Thanks!

Hi there,Every time I switch back and forth between files in Dreamweaver CC, the file that I switch out of scrolls up so that the cursor is at the top of the screen.  So when I switch back it looks like the file has moved and I can no longer see the thing I am editing.  How do I set it to stop doing this?Many thanks

I need to buy dreamweaver for a class I am taking, but I need an older version. Can I get access to the older version? Specifically Dreamweaver CC 2015. I have been trying to use 2017 trial, but there are too many differences. I don't want to pay for it only to find out that I am stuck with 2017.

Dreamweaver CC 2017 on Windows 8.Problem: Application opens and immediately starts updating cache. At 3427/5050 is freezes and crashes.1. I have uninstalled the app, not keeping app data, and tried a clean reinstalled but get the same cache, same start up problem.2. I have deleted the personal configuration folder, which regenerates at statup, but get the same cache, same start up problem.Can anyone help?

I'm using Bootstrap 4 and wanted to know whether there was a way I could make different elements appear below each other. For example, I have a navbar and then a image in my html and I want to add text, however when I do it appears right at the top of the screen and is hidden by the navbar. I would like it to appear under the image insead. Hi,I'm using the Dreamweaver (Bootstrap) slider.It currently is full width, though I've reduced my images for aesthetic reasons. This has had the effect of setting the images off center, left. I can seem to fix that.Also, the grey gradient background remains full width and I'd like it to be 90%, centered. Can't seem to get that done either!thanks for your help,Brian

Peace Folks! I work with the Dreamweaver CS6 application on a MAC OSX. I recently upgraded my MAC to the latest version which is called Sierra. After I upgraded to Sierra, my Dreamweaver application cannot be opened because it can't handle the Sierra Java script. Apparently I need Legacy version Java 6SE and Sierra comes with Java 8. Apple support was unable to help in getting me back to the Java 6SE. We tried downloading and installing Java for OS X 2014-001 but that didn't work. Anyone else run into this problem and come up with a solution?  Thanks!

I want to sue Adobe in a class action lawsuit for antitrust violations implemented with this forced cloud update...Anyone want to join? I purchased my CS6 MASTER SUITE less then 6 months ago because I don't believe in leasing software via "The Cloud" BS! However, since my last Air update I can no longer access my widget browser. I get a bogus error that says It can't connect to the server to log in and to check the connection. My internet functions fine, otherwise I wouldn't be able to log in and post this comment/question. So  I'm left to believe that this is a deliberate action by Adobe to force people into the cloud. Furthermore, when I try to contact support it seems that Adobe has completely dissolved any real support functions and left that in the hands of it's fine community of PISSED OFF users...thanks Adobe!.
