I have just updated to 2017.0.1 and I now  can not access 'Device Preview'. When the icon is selected I get the message .. 'Device Preview Service is currently unavailable. Re-start Dreamweaver and start again.'I have tried re-starting and I've checked all network connections are correct.Is this a widespread issue for all.. or is there a fix?Thanks in advance.

Hi all,I've been having a play with DW 2017, and although I really like a lot of the new features (EG. the support for SASS/SCSS), it seems a little sad the product seems to have dropped support of some scripting features, mainly XSLT.On previous versions XSLT tags were supported, and the auto-complete feature was very useful. The same goes for ASP/ASPX. Even though it was not officially supported by DW, the scripting screen would still recognize ASP/ASPX tags, and again auto-complete.Is there a way of adding this functionality back in. IE. Is there a way of creating a custom list of tags that DW can then use to suggest as auto-completes.I hope this makes sense.Thanks,Andy.

I have a purchased copy of DW CS5. I have the original packaging and serial number or key code. My computer hard drive is failing so I need to install DW on my new computer. My old computer is still limping by. Do I need to un-register the first installation prior to reinstalling on the new computer? If so, what is the procedure to do that?

Hi,I want in my new Version of DW the same code highlighting like in my old one for js, html, php and css.I have already read in the forums but found nothing useful. I read a lot about Brackets Themes and so on, but I do not need all that.Is there any file, I can copy or download to get the old highlighting colors back? There is a complete copy of old DW on my PC, but I can not find any .less file there, or a usable css one.Is there any downloadable Theme, that contains the old highlighting info in a DW CC 2017 compatible format?Many Thanks in advance,Lars

In the summer of 2016 I was forced to upgrade to window 10 and now I have lost several fonts after the upgrade.Anyone have a solution for this? I think Adobe should give us access to all fonts for paying a monthly fee with CCClients art has optima regular and now the file opens up missing font...I have seen this with 3-4 client so far.I have the adobe creative cloud with dreamweaver, AI, Photoshop.BarbAd Pros of Palm Beach

I've been editing my website for some time and out of absolutely nowhere, with no changes to the source code, DW will freeze any time I click on that part of the code, or click on where that section of the code would appear in the design section (the picture links in question are not showing up in the design area but is showing up in the source code). I have tried clearing the DW cache and freeing up space on my hard drive to no avail. I am really confused because this happened out of nowhere, I did not make any changes to the code that's giving me a problem and no other page I've been working on besides the default page is giving me an issue. I have no clue what to do because I can't click on the code in question without everything freezing.

There is a part on one of my webpages where I need to insert a greater than-equal to symbol. When I try to copy the symbol over from Word, it is replaced by a 3 in superscript form (like this: ³). I have also tried finding the character through Insert -> HTML -> Character -> Other, but the specific character I need is not listed in the Special Characters Dialog box. Does anyone know how to insert this symbol? Many thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I am creating a site using Dreamweaver. Everything page looks how I want it to look, and performs how I want it to perform except my news.html page. Im going to use 'news.html' for blogging purposes to draw more attention to this site.I am comfortable using coding language such as html, css, and some java. I have the Creative Suite 6 that was downloaded on a computer, but the computer is old and very slow. I have an InDesign document that I exported to html, opened in Dreamweaver and previewed in a browser and it looks great except that the font in the InDesign document does not display. Obviously my desktop does not have this font installed but the fonts are part of the InDesign package folder. I open the css to the doc in DW and see the fonts are in the CSS and need to know how can I attache those fonts to the html files and upload to a server so when someone views the link to the doc the original fonts display.any help?R

I am working on a responsive site with a scrolling carousel as the header. My question is this. Within my Dreamweaver document, the carousel auto scrolls. When viewed on the web at maselva.com it does not auto scroll. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

If someone has been using only Facebook as a portfolio website (art works, for example), how do you go about transferring content from posts in Facebook to the new website? There is the issue of duplicate content and the last thing you want to do is "upgrade" a client by selling them a website which lowers their SEO ranking by having duplicate content.There is also the issue of the Facebook page being indexed higher because it has been around longer.In short, is the best policy just to rewrite (i.e. re-phrase or re-word) the content for the website and hope for the best? I am seeing lots of contradictory stuff online regarding this issue.

In meiner Obrfläche gab es die offenen Fenster noch, aber es wurden keine Inhalte mehr gezeigt. Statt dessen nur noch Fehlermeldungen und Abstürze. 😞---I have removed the Dreamweaver update from December and work again with the version Deamweaver 2017 Build 9314.After the update there was apparently no support for the integration of the MySQL database functions with PHP anymore.The "Bindings" and "Databases" windows were no longer displayed in the "Window" menu. In my workspace there were the open windows still, but no contents were shown. Instead, only error messages and crashes.

We are using dreamweaver cs 5.5 which is not working properly on our system. It hang maximum time during the work. If I select a couple of works and then select Underline, it only underlines the individual letters. How can I have a continuous underline?BTW I did a search but all the results were related to underlined links.ThanksAlan

I was changing the interface preferences and the code started displaying in all caps. I can't change it back.

I recently moved a site from http to https, which meant updating all the internal links that pointed to the absolute paths, as well as all the .htaccess files and some other hidden files. That's when I learned that DW doesn't seem to search in dot files. Is there any way to enable it to?Thanks,Richard
