Hello,We are currently running Dreamweaver 8 and need to upgrade to the latest version of Dreamweaver for the Mac. Will files that are created on DW 8 be compatible with the current version of Dreamweaver? Are there any upgrade issues we need to be aware of? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi all,I've got a strange problem. I have a css file, open in DW and there is a section that I can not open/expand.Line 71 (below) has the collapsed code, then jumps to 228.I have tried clicking on the arrow, usually works; selecting the line then right-hand click>Selection>Expand Selection.Neither method works.I can open the file in notepad and all is well, I can view it online and again all is well.I have rebooted my computer, still nothing.All other 'sections' work fine, just the code collapsed in line 71Any ideas?I am using DW 2017.0.1 Release 9346 build.

Anyone have any idea how to rollback? I really can't use this DW 2017... 2015 was almost perfect... the Find & Replace is 'broken'.. or i just don't know how to use this new version anymore. Previously replacing code in multiple files in folders was as easy as opening up DW, select Find & Replace, enter code to find and code to replace, then REPLACE. It was as simple as that.

Hi All,I'm on Dreamweaver 2017. I've just tried it in 'Current Documents' and 'Entire Site' and sometimes it doesn't change anything, even though DW says it has.After I run it, the window at the bottom pops up to show all the files that have been changed. But when I look at the open files themselves, they haven't changed at all. And when I've also run it on files that are closed—it still doesn't work.Am I missing something?Thanks,John

I am designing a new website using bootstrap.cssIn live view everything looks great.However, when I preview in any browser(chrome,firefox,IE) I get a complete mess. Fluid columns are not displayed correctly, menus aren't working...nothing. Not done this before. I am trying to upload a 4 page spryaccordion file. It uploads to site but does not show it to me in the format created. I also uploaded the spryaccordion.css file. what am I doing wrong please?

I have not gone to the new versions of DW because as I understand this - it does not have support for CF. I've seen CF Builder and don't especially like it compared to DW.But, in the past couple of days, DW stops working about once an hour and debug shows this exception. I tried deleting WinFileCache-E4854B7D.dat but that's not curing the problem.Is there a way to fix this? Barring that, is there any way to add CF support to the new DW?

I'm as "hip" as the next guy and appreciate gray on gray type ... but only for about 10 minutes. For those of us who have to use an application for real work, the ultra-low contract of the new Dreamweaver is really hard on the eyes. Trying to read gray type against a gray background gets tiring really fast.Question:Is there any way to turn up the contrast (either black type or a white background) for the frame elements in DW2017?Although it appears to be slightly less buggy (not a very high bar) than DW2015, the new version is a serous step back in terms of usability.

When saving a file via Dreamweaver cc 2017 directly to my test web server (network drive) it becomes unavailable for approximately 10 seconds. Using notepad ++ the file is available immediately. I disabled caching and notes (as I saw some people suggested) but it did not help. This is true in ff, chrome and ie. What can I do?Thank you,Shmuel

I had to restore Preferences 5 days ago when Real Time Preview stopped displaying web pages in the browser. This solved the problem at the time. However, Real Time Preview stopped working again, 5 days later. Once again, I have restored Preferences, restarted the PC, and managed to get RTP working again. This procedure is wasting a great deal of time. How long will it be before these bugs in Dreamweaver 2017 CC will be resolved? I can't continue working indefinitely with an unreliable and unstable product.

Yesterday I installed this latest revision of Dreamweaver CC. It did in fact fix some of the problems with the earlier release like the source code formatting command. Once I found it in it's new place on the previous rev it did not work at all. It now works.However now we have another set of problems that I believe are even more serious than the original problems. If you load more than 2 pages and run them in active mode everything slows and eventually hangs up completely. The system stops completely and I get the Windows alert that the program is not responding and it shuts down. My system is very stable otherwise and nothing else seems to hang it up. This is a very repeatable problem and rebooting and restarting does not cure the problem. Fortunately I kept my 2015 version and I now have to revert back to that in order to have a stable system.Am I the only one with these problems? Is Adobe aware of this?

Where is the code hinting menu. Why would you drop this feature? Additionally, I get that there is still code coloring, if you want to call it that, why are you limiting so many features?  The new code coloring seems awful, how do I color CSS in the style attribute of a tag in a PHP file?  With the current coloring, it seems to only see it as a string?

How can I stop code hints from showing up every time I enter a number? If I am creating a list of numbers in any way this is really annoying. Maybe if I had a code hint menu?

I am using Dreamweaver CC 2015.Is Google analytics a secure hit counter on a web site?I have read that it can compromise the security of a web site.I currently use StatCounter but have updated my client's web site and I think he might want all the extra information offered by Google. Before I follow this option I want to check what current informed thinking is on hit counters and any possible security issues.

I am BEYOND disbelief that Adobe put out 2017 REMOVING code coloring - especially touting a developer friendly interface. It's horrendous for developers and anyone working with php, asp, and other code.Previous versions automatically colored my code as soon as I set MySQL/PHP or ASP as the site type.  Contrary to what Adobe touted, NONE of the code settings synch.  NO ONE who has ever even worked on ONE site let alone managing 35 sites with asp and php throughout must have USED this before release.I don't know who is on the dev team for Dreamweaver, but it's definitely losing credibility with even LITE coding pros. I am reverting to previous DW and would like to know when 2017 becomes usable.In addition to no code coloring, code disappears totally in the code window - showing blank on occassion and a few other glitches that make 2017 completely unproductive for me. It's a useful feature, the automatic highlighting of paired tags when clicking on one of them in the code view of Dreamweaver CC 2017 on my Mac.Unfortunately, the pale green highlighting color is very difficult to read with the white highlighted letters. I could change to a darker theme and they are more visible but I prefer the lighter background.See image below.Any way to change that highlighted paired tags color to something more suitable?Nothing there under preferences that seems to fit or work.I see you can create a custom interface under Preferences, and when creating a new custom interface it presents a new window "Main.less" which I'm suspect I can edit to set the highlighting color to whatever I want? Sorry, I'm very new to DW CC. Pretty new to html, too.Mitch

I am using Dreamweaver CC (2017). I underline a lot of text and want to know if I can add a button to the property window for underlining instead of having to go to the Style context window all the time. Is that possible and if so, how?
