Hello All,I was on the phone with GoDaddy for a couple of hours. I purhased hosting for a site that I built, but I am not able to connect by ftp and upload. Specifically, Go Daddy has said that it needs to upload to the public_html folder that is available as I witnessed on the cpanel. However, no matter how variations of public_html I put into the site seteup, it will not connect. The only way it connects is when I put in a /. But then, when I look at the remote server menu in DW, I don't see any of the files and folders I could see in cpanel including public_html. Anyone know how to fix this?

I am consistently seeing the dreaded Red X, but when I click on it, I get nothing to check or correct. Any clues on why this is happening?

Dreamweaver really needs to come into the 21st Century. I created an arrow function, and Dreamweaver is saying that it's a "Syntax error".  Please see attached image. The function works, there is no syntax error.  Please fix this.

I'm curious if anyone else has come across this issue and what is everyone going to use when Dreamweaver is truly dead. I like the tools it provides for web specific site building. I have a dream that Adobe developed Dreamwear into a better app. What would this app have for features? First and foremost, all the features that are included in the current DW, but significantly updated and backwards compatible.New features built-in server side type WAMP and XAMP, AI controlled Validators for code and links and scripts. Genuine Design features, tied to Adobe's other range. Support for both independent and team development. Automated maintenance of finished web product with the help of validators on both the development side and client side. Also good support for third-party development of plugins and addons desirable.Support for other types of web applications type Rails, Aspnet, Sinatra, Lean etc. It would be the equivalent of the Swiss Army Knife for web programs.What do you think!

I've been a fan of DW since the Macromedia days, but development seems to have slowed, if not, stopped. Is this the case? Will there be any real, and proper, updates in the future? I'm thinking about updating support for PHP 8, and Bootstrap 5, along with keeping up with progress of SASS, LESS, and removal of Compass and Bourbon, both of which are no longer supported/discontinued. There are no real alternatives to DW that does everything DW does, in one place. Please Adobe, don't leave us behind.

Here is my ideal Dreamweaver interface workspace:Things of note:Fiels panel on the left, and the snippets next to that. Both are "sticky" and persistent in their space.Same with the search/properties panel on the bottom.When a file opens, it opens in the available space.This is perfect.  Two days ago, Dreamweaver forced a reinstallation on me. In the process of reinstallation, I lost my worspace saves and my snippets. With some great tech support, I was able to get my snippets restored. Now that I'm in it and working, I see that I am also missing my workspace layout that I love. I have this instead, the default Developer view: as you can see, Snippets is hiding behind Files. I can bring it forward, but then Files is hidden behind Snippets. I want both panels always visible.  Also, Properties is gone. When I bring it out, it's a floating window, which I can't stand.  With some fooling around, I can bring snippets out as a floating panel so that I can see Fi

Dreamweaver isn't installing on my Mac and is  giving me error code 198 "There is a problem installing Dreamweaver". Unable to install the product. Click retry to download and install it again.  I have clicked retry, have tried installing a previous version, and have been restarting my machine between attempts. This seems to have started after my computer, a mac, was upgraded to Ventura 13.7.6 Could this be related to the problem that I'm having? Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks!

There have been many complaints surrounding the Dreamweaver FTP functionality. This morning, I tried to open Dreamweaver. It wouldn't open. When I went to the application icon, it had turned itself into a folder. Weird.  I went to the Creative Cloud app, looked up Apps, found Dreamweaver, hit Install. Went and got a coffee. Came back, truned on Dreamweaver. Turned on just fine, but I noticed my snippets panel was set back to the default.  I have fifteen years of snippets in Dreamwever. I've had them synced with Creative Cloud so that I don't have to worry about them being lost if my machine crashes or gets wet or stolen. But they are not pulling down from Creative Cloud. Why not?  I can't find any option to toggle to tell Dreamweaver to pull down the snippets from Creative Cloud.  Here's a Dreamweaver screenshot I took a couple years ago for something else which happened to capture the snippets. I've got a web app that I want to build and I'm trying to find a comparison between these two products.  Can someone help me out on this?  I know Dreamweaver is good at building website, but what about web apps or progressive web apps?  What's the workflow compared to Bubble.is?Thanks in advance

Various Dreamweaver web pages and the app page on the creative cloud app show multuple tutorials. If you click on them, you're end up on the Adobe Learn page of Dreamweaver, but this one only shows one tutorial (understand the anatomy of a website). https://www.adobe.com/be_nl/learn/dreamweaver?locale=nl-BE&learnIn=1  Anyone an idea where I can find the other tutorials?

I built a website and uploaded it on Bluehost. I have never done it before and needed chat support. After uploading instead of the domain i assigned, it was ending in /public_html. If I look under the regular domain, images are not uploaded. It only works on the /public_html.. DOes anyone know how to fix this?

Hello,I created a home page with a moving image in the background following an online tutorial. The page looks good on PC browsers, but when viewed on a mobile screen,, a couple of things are happening. The video isn't running, and the logo is out of place. Some of you old timers may remember me from my heyday with Dreamweaver in the late 90s and early naughts. And I even see some names here that I remember. Well, anyhow, I am in the process of re-hosting a very small site built in the mid 90s using one of Project Seven's wonderful extensions. At this point I can't remember what it was called but it implemented a linear array of thumbnail images that would enlarge when clicked. Now, to test my ability to get this site going again, I uploaded it to a subdirectory on another site, browsed to it, and it worked perfectly. Now I have uploaded it to a "holding" location on the new host site, and the images are there but they don't expand when clicked, instead they just shudder annoyingly. So, it works in one place and doesn't in another. I'm sure that Gerry Jacobsen could diagnose the problem immediately. Does anyone know how to contact him?

Hi everyone,right after the 21.5 update, DW can't sync files anymore.I've tried everything, including deleting dwsync.xml files and even preferences files.Nothing: it just can't sync with remote server.Got back to 21.4, but I think this is a huge problem to fix asap.

HelloI am having performance issues with Dreamweaver that has been going on for weeks. Namely extremely slow response to loading-file-to-scroll times and extremely long response times for editing.Typically loading a small standard html file takes 40 seconds, 20 seconds of which is a white screen in the editor and the other 20 seconds waiting for the mouse to be able to scroll. Then I enter a single letter and another 20 second lag before the cursor updates. It is unusable for development work. I have been using DW for fifteen years on my site and it has never performed so poorly.I have 16 GB RAM and the total computer typically uses 11 GB with DW taking up 3.5 GBHere is what I have tried according to the forum and AI assistance1. Do not have live view enabled - I never have, so irrelevant2. Switch off code hinting - no effect3. Switch off site cache in the site console - no effect, bad with and without cache4. Cleared site cache and rebuild - done several times - no effect4. Check late

Hello,I have created a page and the page shows everything it should in the designer view screen. Also, when I do a preview in the browser, it is still there. But when I upload it, the image does not appear. I am specifically referring to the header image that should be the constitution like in the screenshot below. I've uploaded several times, and even deleted the page and image from the server and uploaded again. Nothing. Can you tell me what I may be missing? I'll put the link in the comments because for some reason, the post won't let me add it.

I just got a brand new Mac Studio with M4 chip. I had Mac Studio with the M1 chip. Identical setup just a new computer.  Dreamweaver FTP worked fine on the M1 mac, now I'm getting Access Denied errors or password and user is incorrect. Filezilla works fine.

It's been a long time since I've done this, so I've forgotten how to do it. I primarily access my website from my Mac Studio, but I'll be traveling and need to work from my laptop. I have DW on both computers. I've entered the FTP settings into DW on my laptop, thinking I could just download it to an external portable drive, but it doesn't let me do that. I know I'm missing something simple but critical, since I've done it before.
