[Moderator moved from Using the Community (forums) to Dreamweaver.]Hi there, I have an imac, OS: Big Sur. I have Adobe Suite and can launch Photoshop, Illustrator etc. w/o a problem. But dreamweaver is not even launching. It crashes right away. I already uninstalled and re-installed it again. Any ideas?

Hey there, i had to restart Dreamweaver and when it loaded back up, all my sites were gone. Can anyone tell me where these are stored so I can bring them back. Ignore  the 'Unnamed Site 2'. Many thanks  

Hello.  I am revamping an old site.  The client still wants her flash movie/video.  Without using flash at all, what program/technique can I use to make a video with just images and text?  Thanks for any help.

Does anyone know about a good tutorial for setting up DW with AMPPS to be used as the testing server?

I have installed the WAMP webserver and try to set up the testing server in DW.Everything is configured like the Adobe book is telling me, but.... Actually, It should be working now, but I get this error msg:Dynamicly relates files could not be resolvedbecause the site defenitions is not correct for this server.Sometimes I get this error to:This page may have dynamically related files that can only be discovered by the server. After the message I have two choices: Discover and Preferences. No of those choices is helping me.

originally this file type said "Can't find a valid editor for this file extension" i added to the open in code view list in the preferences so now it at least opens in dreamweaver.how do i get this file type to be searchable when not open if i do search from selected files?already tried adding to MMDocumentTypes.xml under  <documenttype id="HTML" also are there multibles of this file? i found one in "%appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2019\en_US\Configuration\DocumentTypes" and another in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2019\configuration\DocumentTypes" and updated both...

Hi! I'm trying to do a site similar to umusic.com but I have an issue. I don't know which size my image should be to fit the whole page and without losing quality of the picture.  Do you know how big it should be? In pixels...A start page like this... how big is the picture of Nirvana? 

Hi, I have tried to find the solution....I had a switch view toggle button (code/design etc) up top of the screen but now it's vanished and I need to go to view>code drop down, which is a pain. Any idea how to retrieve it?thanks

Long story short, I was put in charge of managing my robotics team's website this year, and I've realized that I'm in way over my head. I really haven't had any guidance or someone to train me on how our website works, they kind of just told me what my job was (update our website throughout the year) and left me to do it.One piece of advice that I got was to test/preview my changes on my dev subdomain before making changes to my main FQDN, and I'm going to be honest I don't really know what that means. I've had some trouble the past couple days though where I accidentally put changes on my remote server that I shouldn't have.I guess my question is how do I create some sort of version control system with my dev subdomain where I can test changes there and then push them to my main domain? Should I use an FTP client? I'm not sure. Could someone help me out?  Thanks,A struggling high school student in much need of help.

I have a page with product images - 4 items on each row. I have tried to insert the Shopify code for the Buy Button under each product but I can't get the buttons to line up properly. They stack on top of each other vertically.Would anyone know how to add the correct styles to my style sheet to have the buttons line up under each item? I have recently decided to try to automate some tasks and went to look for the History panel and see that it has been removed since v 2017. I have a sequence of 10 search and replace operations that I need to run on a regular basis that would be perfect for a command.How do I record Commands now?

As mentioned, the previous mode stopped working after a few changes have been made to either the html file or the css file. The preview function does work, but I had to click preview again really often which is a little annoying: Is there a way to solve it or is this what everybody encounters. Thank you very much.

I'm having issue extracting my PSD to web design. This keeps showing up, tried signing out and uninstalling the dreamweaver but nothing seem to change

Should be easy but I can't seem to find any references to changing the length of time that an image in a carousel shows before moving to the next.  Default seems to be around 5 secs but I wish to make it somewhat longer (20s?).  Looked in all sorts of areas of properties within DW but cannot find the one I want (or screen, or input box...).  Looked all around this community for a similar question that might help to no avail, at least cannot find anything with what I would think would be the obvious words in the search either in DW community of woth Google ie timing carousel etc... Where do I look? ThanksTim..

Hello.  Three of the websites I manage have contact pages for sending email to the officials.  When I tested these links yesterday, they don't work.  Well, not quite true.  They 'almost' work.  On one of my machines, It does open the mail program, but that's all.  It does not open a new email with the name and subject line.  It just sits there.  On another win 10 laptop, clicking the link opens a screen (see below) that lists parameters for such an action.  However, if I open that site on my phone, it works fine.  Up comes the new email ready to be filled in and sent.  I can't say whether it works on any other outside computer because I haven't tried it on another machine.  Since it does work on one device, I'm assuming there is no code issue going on in Dreamweaver and must be related to settings on both local machines.  I just can't figure out what those might be.  I've tried all the usual suspects.  The defau

I am trying to embed an Outlook published calendar into a website and would like the embed code to use for it.

I have this on my old computer, but had to buy a new computer and can't get version 11 and Extension Manager  to load . My new computer is Windows 10. Any suggestions? 

I'm making corrections to a site that I built using an original version of Dreamweaver years ago. It's all going well but, for some reason, the site pages that are sized properly on my default browser, Firefox, look too small on Chrome and Safari. The first attachment shows the way some site pages look on my default browser Firefox on the left and Chrome on the right: As you can see, when the windows are scaled to the same size, the images look miniature in Chrome but decently sized in Firefox. Just to make sure that it’s not some setting in the browser itself, the second attachment shows the way a commercial site looks on both: So, there must be some code that tells the browser what size to display the page, regardless of the browser.  I designed it for Firefox and it’s too small for Chrome and also Safari.  Any ideas? How to active the map code as a scrollbar code like the image?

In response, Missouri's Governor accused the newspaper of illegal hacking. A newspaper informed Missouri about a website flaw. The governor accused it of ‘hacking.’  

I am using this on my testing server and if I go to the site using https the hamburger menu doesn't appear. If I use the http address the menu is there. Is there some PHP setting in Dreamweaver shich causes this problem?

I have DW cs6 installed on my PC and today it stopped working.Can I download cs6 now?I still have the CS3 discs and the last CS3 Serial number.CS6 was a download  install so discs were not issued.I cannot afford the new prices.Many thanks for any help. John

I purchased Dreamweaver in 2012. My old computer failed. I still have the serial number codes. Where can I find the link to download my old cs5 (I believe) version. Thanks
