Hello, Ive been using live paint in my editorial illustrations, Ive just had an eps preview of a mag cover sent back to me to check all is ok.The background colour is much lighter than the objects in front. Where the elements meet in live paint there is a faint colour line of the lighter background showing through tiny gaps around all the objects that make up that live paint group. When I export to Photoshop a jpeg it shows this line work around all the objects involved in the live paint group.This is obviously going to show up when its printed. I'm so reliant on live paint, this happens if the live paint has been expanded or left in place. If I move the colour around and get the colour blocks to overlap it doesn't happen, there is no gap of colour showing though. So frustrating, You would think a design tool like illustratorwould be able to do a basic function of making sure the colour is where its needed to be and not add in white lines and gaps. When working with any document it just crashes. Do not have to be heavy documents at all. When I try to zoom in it crashes, when I copy something in the document and paste it in the same document it crashes. Can be anything I do it crashes. I haven't logged into my Adobe Illustrator in a while and when I do I can't even get acees to the design center.  When Iog in, it says "Fetching your subscription details" then takes me to a screen that says I need to subscribe for a monthly fee.  I couldn't get around it so I just subscribed with the intent to challenge it later, but now I still can't get pass the prompt.  It happens every time I close the app and log in again.  Anyone experience this?

Hi there, as title, a color background was set to my AI file.  saves as a copy to PDF.and it turned out like this...the funny thing i tried was down the size to the color. and it works finally.Judging my design? How Artificial Intelligent it becomes...so i split my color into 2 pieces and it still works...  Is there any pro had similar experience?i had the same issue using InDesign, too. no matter what background color is CMYK, RGB, fashion, ugly... it's gone exporting to PDF.Thanks!

Does anyone know why you can't add fonts to Illustrator from the Adobe Type site? Seems like that would be a pretty easy and intuitive feature. 

I am using a Wacom 16, when my pen is active i cannot get the option panel even if i double clic on the icon or if i press enter when selected, anybody have a cue for me.

Text that I have coverted to paths ist siupposed to subtracted from a butto so the background will shine through.  It works  on most of the letters and numbers, but something wierd happens and not alle of the paths are subtracted correctly showing the background of the button in part of the text where it should be transparent, but the entire path still exists as a path.  It happens in illustrator as well as InDesign und the Font Type does not matter either. 

Hello all, I'm having issues with adding anchor points, adjusting anchor points and subtracting anchor points.Upon upgrading to cc 2018, the anchor points seem to be very finicky. Today I kept getting the error:“please use the add anchor point tool on a segment of a path”I know what this means, but before it felt like the program knew what I was intending on doing. Now, unless I am zoomed in really really close I'll get that message. I work pretty fast and this hasn't ever been an issue in the past. Anyone else experiencing any similarities?Thanks in advance!

Hello, how to I recreate this warped lettering (see attached) Is it a combination of photoshop and illustrator?

So here is my problem. When I start working in illustrator everything seems to be fine but after hour performance start to slow down more and more every hour. The most noticable thing is selecting objects. I select object by clicking and than after second the layers bounding box shows up. To make it fast again I have to restart Illustrator. The problem doesn't appear when I create new document. So I narrowed my search for cause to TEMP files. While program was running (slow) I delated TEMP files ( only those that Windows let me beacuse Illustrator was still on) and performance went back to normal. So what's going on with that ? Running Win11, I9-13900, RTX 4090, 64GB RAM, All Adobe programs up to date.

Hello There, Today, we have noticed one strange error in Illustrator while using multiple fonts.When we use multiple languages with different fonts, the justification is not working properly.Especially the last line or the last before the line is going out of the bounding box (Text string). See the attached image for your reference to see the problem that we have. Here is the list of fonts which we used in the artwork.Neue Frutiger World Medium     LanguageMarksSolid2.8Small     Neue Frutiger Thai Modern Md     Noto Sans S Chinese Medium     And 2 more fonts (Korine & Japanese) we investigated it a little bit in it. We noticed this problem is happening only when we added the THAI text (Neue Frutiger Thai Modern Md). Is there any solution for this? Or should we approach the font supplier to fix this issue? Please help me on it. Thank you. Regards,Hari from India

I´m trying to create a pattern brush consisting of following. But as you can see, there is significant gaps in the corners of the pattern. I searched for solution and someone suggested to place a no fill/no stroke square to border the image...but this doesn´t do it either. Can someone help me out? 

Hi guys, really need your help. Recently, I was working on a project and opened several files. I tried to save the logo in SVG format, but instead, I saved a whole canvas from a neighboring file. Now, every time I want to save an SVG, I save this canvas. I reinstalled the system and reinstalled the entire Creative Cloud, but the problem remained.Please help.

How can I change this title and subtitle to a diagonal arrangement, as in the bigger image?

Adobe Illustrator Version 2023 v27.5Windows 10 Pro Since March 5th 2025 we are unable to drag object on the canvas.If we use the rectangle tool, objects can only be created by using coordinates.Bezier curves don't work no more! Anybody the same issues?  

Quando salvo de algum documento do illustrator em versão para impressão no pdf, o arquivo apresenta alguns erros no objeto que usa malha fica aparente, os vetores ficam aparecendo por cima de outros objetos e a imagem de png dentro do documento esta saindo diferente o arquivo pdf. Eu sempre salvava na predefinição PDF/X-1a:2001, mas tá dando esses erros. Agora tô tentando salvar em impressão de alta qualidade, mas ou o aplicativo trava ou estraga algum outro elemento da arte. O que posso fazer?

Illustrator for some unknown reason until today is not working properly after 3 years, the main dropdown menus at the top are now not working at all. Sometimes the effect will drop down but I can't select anything.All other drop-down menus work and all buttons work. it's taking the biscuit as I got assignments to do. Is there any fix?I have already tried disconnecting monitors, deleted remnant files and re-installed illustrator, reset preferences and updated drivers. apparently, 10 series are not supported but it was working fine until now. System: win 11, gtx 1060 6gb, 5600x, 16gb ram.Two monitors and small tv are connected.

I am working on an illustrator file and I clicked the little House or home icon in the top left region I get redirected to the home screen and it seems as if everything I was working on has been closed, I don't understand, is the file still open and I need to click something to get back to it or has it just been closed because I clicked on that icon? Normally if you're going to close a file it would prompt to "save as". What just happened here?

I have a script I'm running that changes localized type in swatches from Japanese to Gibberish. It works ok on when run by itself, but when run within other functions it's breaking. Is there an overall encoding for files that I should be using? HiI'm using in Illustrator 2025 (version 29.3)When I am trying to create images using multiple documents, noticing a weird issue during the copy & paste operation between different documents,due to which the image creation process takes mutiple times to get createdsometimes retrying the same image works but it is affecting the productivity due to multiple times creation of the image. while the image creation process takes place some of the components are not pasted properly where I get a specific error: an illustrator error occurred:1346458189 ('PARM') As a result I get improper images where I could see some blank spaces where the copied content is missed to be pasted.The copy and paste operation fails intermittently, with the pasted element sometimes not appearing at all or appearing incorrectly. I have tried mutiple ways but issue was not resolving. When the same process tried with CS5 version, I don't face any problem the creation process is clean & no multiple tries observe

Illustrator 28 on MacOS Sonoma 14.5 been crashing for weeks. I've installed various updates to v28.   It happens even after a fresh boot when nothing else is running. Usually during any kind of file operation (save, open, place, export), but I've also known it to happen when moving an object.   Mac Studio Ultra, 128Gb ram.     {Renamed by MOD}

One thing that has always been missing in Illustrator is the ability to apply transparency directly to the image and at the same time be able to apply a gradient to that transparency, modulating its intensity, exactly as you can do in InDesign where I can calibrate the intensity of the image's transparency with a gradient, blurring it as desired... is it possible to have this feature in Illustrator?
