Hi I am trying to get illustrator to scale using decimal points. I add 40.35% for example, but when I scale, the decimal point disappears and its become 4035%.Is there somewhere in preferences that allows me to allow decimal points e.g. 30.456%.Thanks Steve

When saving a simple design as an SVG, the saved version has moved anchor points/handles in some spots. This is a text design that I converted to outlines, edited, then expanded. It only seems to happen with saving as SVG, PDF's are fine and I can export it as an SVG. My knowledge of AI is pretty basic but I haven't run into this issue before.

So I'm a Windows user, working in a CMYK color mode, using ISO coated v2_eci as my ICC profile, since my work is for printing. My problem is that when I use the color picker on certain colors, the color the picker shows me is not the color that the object I'm working on shows.Like this: As you see, the color picker shows a different color, like a greenish orange. The thing is, that when I pick this color and apply it to other figures, these figures get the color that the original art shows, not the color that the color picker shows. So even though this doesn't actually affect my workflow, I'm afraid of what will happen when I send my work to print, will the colors be printed as the color picker shows me, or as I see them? I've been working with this ICC profile and color space for a while, and didn't have this problem until 5 days agoHelp please!!I'll appreciate anny comments on this,Thanks!

Is there a way to adjust the paint bucket so it will fill a section that has a gap, or doesn't completely close? I don't need it to close really big gaps, but just bigger than what it's doing right now. Thanks.

I am working in an .ai file that I have saved frequently before. Suddenly when I try to save the file, I get an error that reads "an unknown error has occurred" and the file won't save at all, anywhere. I have not seen this error message before and have had no issues opening or saving the file up until this point.I need to have the file as an .ai file (not .eps or any other format). I am working in Illustrator CC (2015.3) and using macOS Sierra.

I have some artwork I am preparing for someone and this lozenge shape seems to be a 'non native object' I need to to be made soley from pantone 213 C and it some how has other pantones it it that I don't need.. I have tried to change its colour by the swatches and it wont let me the same pink colours just stay? any ideas?

Hi all,Since the last upgrade of Illustrator I have found it incresingly harder to grab line and anchor points on bezier curves with the cursor, it take a lot of attempts to achieve this, as well as deliberalely Selecting I have also tried swiping the cursor across the line but I still can't grab it. I have to increase the magnification to home in on my target and then the cursor makes contact. Anyone else have this problem and what could be the cause?ThanksPeter

I open new doc with text only. When I want to convert it to Compound path the command in the menu is disabled. Any suggestions. I'm using the latest version.

I used the brush tool to make a single dot on a canvas. When I click on the object, the anchor point is not at the center of the visible object, but an inch or so away from the object. I'm pretty sure there is a way to move an anchor point to the center of the visual object without moving that object. Is anyone able to help me? I can attach a picture of what I'm referring to.

¡Buenas tardes a todos! Tengo varias mesas de trabajo en illustrator para realizar banners y algunas de ellas se exportan mal, con uno y hasta dos pixels de más. Hice lo que recomiendan en la ayuda de Adobe pero el problema persiste. Cuando ingreso a la opción Objetos > Generar Píxeles Perfectos me cambia la dimensión de la mesa de trabajo agregando 1 pixel más.  Las coordenadas de cada mesa de trabajo tiene números enteros y las dimensiones son las correctas ¿Cómo puedo resolver el problema?

I am using AI 2025 and havent changed the versions. AI crashed and now I am unable to open the document.  Any help please as I have spent a lot of time working on this.

Hi, I'm currently trying to make a map for my diplomacy game. The thing is, every time I save the progress I've made, I exit out of Illustrator and when I open the app again the borders are no longer aligned as it should be.Thats how it looks before saving and re-opening the app.Thats how it looks after saving.  

Not fully sure how to describe my problem but I've used Illustrator for a long time and I've had this magenta line apearing when extending or shortening straight paths so that i easely can align the path to the original path. I miss it alot! I've tride to toggle and un-toggle smartguides and settings to no avail. please help me here
