Hi, I'm trying to create a gradient across two lines of text that has been Warped. I can add a gradient fill but it just adds the Gradient Fill to each character individually (bottom example) and I want it to be across the whole word. I can normally do this by creating a Compound Path but because the text has been Warped, this is preventing me from doing that. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bonjour tout le monde, Je rencontre un problème avec l'outil "Repères commentés". Il est coché mais les repères ne s'affichent pas. J'ai redemarré à plusieurs reprises illustrator et même décoché tous les autres outils de la rubrique "Affichage" dans le cas où cela interférerait avec l'outil "Repères commentés" mais çela ne change rien.Quelqu'un aurait-il une idée? Merci par avance.

Hi there Adobe community,Would anyone be able to advise me on this issue please? Everytime I export from Illustrator as a PDF the colour comes out slightly muted, when I export as a PNG the issue is not there. I've included pictures below of the colours before and after. (export on left, original on right.) I've tried to change my colour profile and export again, but this hasn't resolved my issue. I've changed my PDF Output settings as well, again did not resolve my issue. Could it be an issue with the preview app? But the Illustrator PDF should have the CMYK embedded inside?? I'm very confused )c: Would appreciate any help with this at all!!!   

Trying to do a save-as, from the original .ai file format to a .pdf format; and I get an error the says = The deminsions of this page are out-of-range.  How do I get this file to save to the .pdf format?

Hi,I have been trying to add Glyphs to the text on illustraton on my macbook pro. Have tried multiple times and different ways to add the glyphs, but I am unable to add them. Any suggestions of can this work? I don't know if it's the bug or the font problem.

Hi when I am rendering in 3d with raytracing on high my application keeps crashing. I don't know what the problem is as I have a pretty good pc and I have rendered on Illustrator using ray tracing before. I suspect that it has something to do with my gpu not being used when I render. For some reason, task manager only shows my cpu on 100% while my gpu is on 0% during ray tracing render. Can someone please help? My computer wasn't always like this.

Hello! I'm designing some graphics for a range of T shirts for my portfolio. I might screen print them down the line, so tips on how to make them more screen-printing friendly would be useful but not super neccessary at this stage; currently, I'm just looking for advice on how to make them "pop" as, to me, they feel a little flat and lifeless (pardon the pun). As the theme of the shirts is joi de vivre, 70s hedonism and a lust for life, how can I incorporate this into the design? I'm happy with the drawings themselves, but things like reccomendations for new brushes and packs, shading, effects etc are what I need help with. Happy to clarify if this all sounds a bit vague! P.S It's my first time posting here, so please let me know if it needs to be on a different board 🙂

I am looking to set up a print file to for a couple of design options for a gym ribbon like this. How do I go about doing it, especially for the ribbon, ie. how do i designate a bleed on a shape that isn't a rectangle. Thanks.   

Hi, I'm trying to do something I've done before with no issues but now I can't seem to get the Pathfinder Crop and Merge functions to work and am out of ideas about how to proceeed so any help would be greatly appreciated... First, I have a vector that I would like to crop and I'm selecting it and a rectangle I've made and put in the layer above it to crop it. Strangely, when I use the Pathfinder Crop function to crop the vector it does nothing, but when I move the rectangle or adjust its height then try cropping it, it works. Here's a screenshot of the vector and rectangle above it selected...  Second, I'm trying to merge two vectors and usually I select both and click Merge and that's it but, again, when I select both and try to merge them nothing happens. Here's a screenshot of both vectors with the second one selected... I've tried putting them on separate layers then merging them; I've tried uniting them; and I've tried copying and pasting them into a new

I want to get the items in a layer sorted in their stacking order (including any sub-layers). Hello,I'm trying to convert my black and white ink drawings to vecotrs.I'm using image trace to do it, but after I expand the image trace I end up with a million individual paths as sublayers.I just want ONE clean layer to tweak and work with but the "merge selected" option is greyed out even after I ungroup everything.When I release the sublayers to layers it just creates more groups when I try to merge them. If anyone knows a workaround please help. My goal is to have ONE layer of clean black vector to work with. I don't want groups, sublayers, or compound pats.I feel like it shouldn't be this comoplicated lol.

There seems to be just three or four active posts per day on average, sometimes just one to two, and even these are oftentimes just bumped old posts. Scripters who were active when I started frequenting this forum during the pandemic seem to have gone for good. Those still around seem to be posting less and less. Has ChatGPT rendered the scripting section no longer useful? Is everything that's possible with Illustrator scripting been done, and there is nothing more to add? Is it the lack of investment in Illustrator scripting? But the main point of this post is to ask if scripters, and people looking for scripting help, have gone elsewhere? I know there is a general "Coding Corner" community, but that seems to be even less active than here.

Error in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe inDesign\indesign-v19,0.jsx Linha 1: Erro de E/S I close this window, and the program runs normally.  But the Start-Up Menu ins't available. I have to acess the classic Start-Up menu.   How could I fix it?  

The type on path tool is bugging out.It randomly scatters all the letters all over and even outside the work area.Closing and opening the file sometimes displays the tekst correctly again but soon it descends into utter mayhem all over. As you can see in the example.The 'correct' one exploded as well when I made the screenshot.The other attached image displays it correctly. My Illustrator is up to date and running on a 2022 macbook pro 16".Also, my computer just crashed and restarted but I'm not sure if it's related.The bug is still there however.

I want to replicate this artwork :As you can see, it's a series of "dots" on a path, a series of decreasing circle sizes, but for the life of me, I can't figure how to recreate this using Illustrator? I tried creating a Brush to no avail: there are no way to control the spacing between the dots?I also tried using a Blend but, again, there is no way to control the spacing between the dots? On the right of the figure (an old German magazine cover) are three series of "circles".Under Column A are the two circles I used to create a basic (linear) Blend.Under Column B is the resulting initial Blend.Under Column C is the Blend with modified initial and ending "Spine" anchor points, to "increase" and "decrease"' the spacing between the circles.I thought I had it made when I selected both the oval and the Blend and hit Object > Blend > Replace Spine but doing so resetted the spacing between circles to a constant value??i'm kind of going in "circle". Any help is appreciated.&nbs

I have questions about a file I have in Illustrator. First I can see it contains many layers but I can´t really see the layers have content. When I untoggle the visibility nothing happens. When I click the image it looks like an already merged image that I cannot ungroup or do anything with.  I would like to be able to edit the whole artwork but I cannot understand how? I attach a screenshot video. 

Why aren't the new fonts which I added working properly?
