Question

The Illustrator app keeps crashing on iPadOS 26.4.2.

The Illustrator app keeps crashing when trying open or create a new project. Was working before the iPadOS 26.4 update. And I even updated to iPadOS 26.4.2 version to no avail. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache and shut it all down. I have a 9th generation ipad. What is the resolution to this issue?

    Hello!

Adobe support just answered me. They are trying to close the case, claiming it is a "hardware RAM issue" and we need a new iPad. This is a lie to avoid fixing their code. Adobe Fresco works perfectly on my device, proving that only Illustrator is broken after the updates. Please open an official support ticket, complain loudly, and demand a fix. If we all pressure them, they will have to fix this bug!

Hello! I feel your pain. I have been trying to resolve this exact issue with Adobe tech support for two weeks now, and so far, there is no result. Standard troubleshooting steps are completely useless here.

I just managed to escalate my case to a support supervisor, and they promised to hand it over to the engineering team to check the server-side account synchronization. I honestly think that no one can help us with this bug except Adobe's internal developers.

If I get any updates, a working solution, or a fix from them, I will definitely post it here to let you know. Hang in there!

    Hello,

I am facing a critical bug with Adobe Illustrator on iPad after updating to iPadOS 26.5. The app has been working perfectly fine for me since 2021 without any issues, but now it is completely broken.

    Here is the exact problem:

    1. The app crashes to the home screen the exact split second the internet is turned on (Wi-Fi or cellular) due to some cloud sync conflict.

    2. NOW, even when I am completely offline, the app has stopped importing and exporting any files. The import/export functions are completely frozen or non-responsive.

    3. I have already reinstalled the app dozens of times, cleared the cache, restarted the device, and verified my account. Nothing helps on the local side.

Because of these combined bugs, I have just lost 3 days of my professional work when the app collapsed. Now I cannot even work offline because import/export is broken.

As a professional illustrator and long-time Adobe user, this is an absolute disaster for my workflow. Please escalate this to the Mobile App Engineering Team immediately. The local file management and cloud sync are completely corrupted on iPadOS 26.5

It may be better to ask your questions on the Illustrator iPad forum:
