Adobe World-Ready Paragraph Composer Trouble

Hi all,

I'm subscribed to Ind3esign 2024. The program is not defaulted to Adobe World-Ready Paragraph Composer, as I've read is the case with other users, and when I select it and change the keyboard to Arabic, it does not work, showing the characters as rectangles. Most of my documents will require both Arabic and English. Has anyone faced this issue before? Are there any additional steps I need to take first after selection in order for it to work?

Thank you.

I am having, I think a similar problem in Hebrew. The font is Times New Roman using Hebrew Glyphs followed by the translitartion in SPAtlantis. When I apply the Adobe World-Ready Paragraph Composer to revrse the Hebrew so it is right to left, it it shows the SPAtlantis characters as rectangles. I must work with InDesign in English. Any solutions?

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. Can you confirm the exact version of InDesign? Have you installed the English version of the ME, which is the Middle East version? Is this happening with a specific file or multiple files?

Thanks

Hi Rishabh,

Thank you for your reply. The version I have is the 2024. I'm honestly not sure which one I downloaded, but it was from the Adobe website, not Creative Cloud, and I just clicked the download button and was given no options. Honestly I've only tried one document.

KIND REGARDS,

Please check this article for information on the Middle East version of the InDesign. Please install that and test again and let us know how it goes.

Thanks
