How do I turn off connection to Adobe cloud - I don't/won't ever use it

I feel like the live cloud connection in InDesign is making the program slow as molasses and I don’t use it.

I don’t and won’t ever use Adobe cloud, so how do I terminate that live connection?

When I click the “Connected” notice on my “Home” page when the program’s open (no files open) it doesn’t give any option to disconnect. It does show that I don’t have any files in the cloud and have used 0% storage.

How do I close the connection???

Also, this connection is required to poll your subscription status so you can’t really disconnect from Creative Cloud to which you have subscribed.

I am not sure you can do that. But this can’t be the reason of slowness. This is not reported if I remember correctly nor have I faced this personally. Would you mind to drop details like your InDesign version, OS version, when do you actually see a slowness and is that unique to a particular file or InDesign version or not.
