Indesign image won't resize, text wrap not working, shortcuts not opening.

UGH. I hate updates that make everything worse. 

I am on a deadline, as are most of us. 

All of a sudden some parts of my text won't allow the image to wrap.... as you can see in my video https://youtu.be/GDHEahTdO5k the image on the left works fine, putting another image in on the right side and it just doesn't want to work...nothing has changed as far as I can see. 

Another issue is as of yesterday I had no issues dragging an image in and using SHIFT+CMD to constrain resize the image and now it doesn't work. I don't remember changing anything.

This kills my flow so badly when things change like this.... anyone have any tips on what the heck i'm doing wrong.
