Question

InDesign prints blank pages on HP

Acrobat, Illustrator, and all other apps print without any issues.

The HP M806 printer driver sends jobs correctly to the local IP address, the printer app is installed, and all required settings are available. However, when printing from InDesign, the pages come out completely blank—no toner on the paper—while all other applications work normally.

Workaround:
Select “HP Universal Printing PS” as the printer in InDesign. This reroutes the job and does produce correct output. It is slower than printing normally, but still faster than exporting to PDF and printing from Acrobat.

    Hi @LucasFonts,

Thanks for sharing the details. I’m checking this with our product team and will keep you posted on any updates. In the meantime, these similar reports and discussions may be helpful for you to review: https://community.adobe.com/questions-671/indesign-document-printing-blank-pages-on-hp-color-laserjet-pro-4301fdn-887896?postid=887896#post887896 and https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Ink-Cartridges-Print-Quality/Printer-prints-some-files-as-blank-pages/m-p/9538166.

Could you also please confirm the OS and InDesign version you are using and share a screenshot of the print dialog box settings from InDesign? This will help us review everything more closely. Let me know how it goes and if these links help.

    Looking forward to your update.
