Missing Images in PDF Export from Indesign

Okay, so here's the deal, I exported a layout from Indesign into a PDF. My layout had a simple blue box on the first-page footer with some white company logos on top. When I open the PDF, the box and logos are missing. I'm running InDesign CC and Acrobat Pro DC. The weird thing is when I opened the tool in a classic version of Acrobat the graphics appeared as they should and when my colleagues open it in their versions of Acrobat Pro DC it appears. I tried uninstalling Acrobat Pro DC (which automatically uninstalled my classic version as well) and reinstalling it but it didn't fix it. There are other graphics in the layout that appear just fine, it is just this one element that is missing. Any ideas?

Since the pdf can be viewed in other versions of Acrobat, it sounds like a problem best dealt with in the Acrobat forum rather than the InDesign one.
