Add Folder is not adding anything. Neither is drag and drop.

Question

I have the latest OS for my MacbookPro 2013 which is BigSur 11.7. I have uninstalled and re-installed Light Room Classic - latest version Build 202210260744-9e008017 or 12.0.1 Release.

I go to Folders, click on Plus, select folder - nothing happens. There is no import button that shows up. Screen is same as it was before I selected folder.

I also try to drag and drop into Light Room Classic - again nothing shows. Can someone help me?

So, starting with a new empty catalog?You click the [IMPORT] button, or choose {MENU: File > Import photos & videos}  [Ctrl+Shift+i] The (+) icon on the Folder panel header in Lightroom-Classic creates a new 'empty' folder! (The 'Desktop' version of Lightroom uses a (+) button to import-  A totally different app!!)
