comment obtenir une réponse posée dnas l'ancienne communauté ?

J’ai posé une question il y a plusieurs semaines sur le thème [Lightroom Classic Discussions] Re: problèmes récurrents de synchronisation impossible à diagnostiquer. Je n’arrive pas à la retrouver dans la nouvelle communauté, et les liens contenus dans les notifications ne débouchent sur rien. Je veux reprendre la discussion et qu’on trouve enfin une réponse à mon problème !

une personne Anshul_Saini m’avait demandé de lui envoyer par message privé un gros fichier de diagnostic. Il m’en a fait un accusé de réception, depuis plus rien. comment retrouver les messages enoyés et reçus ?

Comment peut-on avancer ? je suis las de la complexité du fonctionnement de ce forum.

    Thank you again for your patience. The product team has completed their review of the latest logs. Here is their feedback:

    • They do not see any errors in the logs.
    • There are currently 25 assets being uploaded, which aligns almost with what you’re seeing.

    Please try the following:

    • Open Lightroom Web and check the right panel for “All Sync Errors”.
    • If you see images listed there:
        •    Remove them from that section
        •    Then delete them from the Deleted folder as well
        •    Allow sync to run again

    Important: Make sure those photos are safely backed up somewhere before removing them from sync and from the Deleted folder to avoid any accidental data loss.

     

    After that:

    • In Lightroom Classic, edit a simple photo in the Develop module
    • Switch back to Library
    • Check whether the sync issue resolves

    Additional clarifications from the team:

    • If you see “download & path of file,” that is normal and can be ignored under sync activity.
    • In Lightroom Classic, videos do not appear in “All Synced Photographs.”
        •    Videos get downloaded into LrC (it’s a one-way road for videos in LrC)
        •    But they are not shown in the Synced Photographs collection
        •    This can cause the total count difference between Lightroom (cloud) and Lightroom Classic

    Please follow the above steps and let me know if the sync state stabilizes afterward.

    I am sorry, but I cannot see “sync issues” the option is not visible in the menu.

    Thank you for the screenshots, ​@coustoulin. That clarifies things.

     

    If you do not see “All Sync Errors” in Lightroom Web, that means:

    • There are currently no hard sync error items flagged on the cloud side

    • The 25 assets being uploaded are not classified as “Sync Errors.”

     

    So we’ll proceed slightly differently.

     

    Next steps:

    • In Lightroom Web, open All Photos

    • Sort by Recently Added

    • Scroll to the most recent items and check if any thumbnails show warning icons

     

    If you do not see anything unusual there, then in Lightroom Classic:

    • Click the cloud icon (top-right)

    • Expand the Sync Activity panel

    • Check whether it lists specific file names repeatedly

     

    Important clarification from the product team:

    • The difference between 63,015 (cloud) and 52,373 (LrC) is very likely due to videos

    • Lightroom Classic downloads videos but does not show them inside “All Synced Photographs.”

    • This is expected behavior and can explain large count differences

     

    If the number stays frozen at 25 for several hours, let me know:

    • Whether the same filenames appear repeatedly in the Sync panel

    • Whether those files exist locally and on Web

    Thank you for your patience. I’ve followed up with the product team, and they’ve carefully reviewed your diagnostic logs. After multiple evaluations of the data you shared, here’s what they’ve concluded:

    • At the time the logs were captured, some of the assets that appeared as “syncing” in Lightroom Classic were already deleted on the web.

    • This mismatch makes it important for us to reassess the current sync state before proceeding further.

     

    To continue the investigation properly, could you please confirm:

     

    • How many assets are currently shown as syncing in Lightroom Classic? (Click the cloud icon in the top-right to view sync activity.)

    • Is the sync issue still happening right now?

    • Are you seeing stuck items, errors, or previously deleted items reappearing?

     

    Also, we will need fresh diagnostic logs so the team can analyze the current behavior and compare it to the older snapshot.

     

    Once you share the current status, I’ll coordinate directly with the team again and keep this moving.

    some additional points  :

    • there are 26 pics waiting indicated in this pannel
    cloud pannel
    • The preference pannel show only 25 pics. All of them are in the folder “Toutes les photos synchronisées”.
    • only 1 is in my LR : the 110312-sans titre-068.nef the others are only on LRC
    • I do not understand the meaning of the info “image”/”Métadonnées” ! what is the problem ?

    • I do not undesrtand why I have 63015 pics in LR and only 52373 in LRC. What are the 10642 pics not known by LRC ? how can I determine whicj they are and why the difference ?

    • The new diagnostic logs
    • The screenshots
    • The detailed explanations about the 26 pending items and the image/metadata status
    • The count difference between LR (63,015) and LRC (52,373)

    First, I’m really sorry for getting back to you late. Regarding the forum migration, no posts are lost. The migration was done in phases, with older content moved first, and the more recent data (including the last couple of months) restored separately. Those messages and threads should reappear in the coming weeks.

     

    About your sync issue:

    • I had already logged a bug with the product team before the migration happened.

    • They were investigating it at that time.

    • I’ve now reached out again through internal channels to request a status update and to check whether they need any additional diagnostic information.

     

    As soon as I receive any update or next steps from the team, I will let you know right away.

    Unfortunately, you can’t retrieve this. The forum move did (temporarily) not move the last two months of messages. They will be back in due time, but as I understand it that will take a few more weeks. In the meantime this message should call ​@Anshul_Saini to respond.

    By the way it is very strange to migrate from a plateform to another and lose the last two monthes 🤣
