I'm very rusty on using Adobe but need it to Upload my you tube channel.

Boy, do I need help! I'm 87 years old. I'm loosing my ability to use Adobe products, but want desperately to complete uploading my You Tube channel and need to use Adobe. I live in Kalamazoo, MI. Will some one out there help me over this hump?

Hi @RalphO, Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the Lightroom Community Forum. First, could you check if you’re using Lightroom or Lightroom Classic? Catalogs are typically used in Lightroom Classic, which can be confusing if you’re used to Lightroom CC. Can you send a screenshot of what you’re seeing? We’ll help you get this figured out! ^CH

7/27/26Things just got worse! Yesterday, after 15 years of Light Room opening to a page I recognize and know how to use, it opened and told me it couldn’t find my “catalog”. What the heck does that mean?

Please try these steps:

Open LrC by holding down the Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) key, double-clicking on the icon, and selecting your actual catalog from the list that appears.
If that doesn’t work: Find your catalog file using your operating system’s search feature, search all disks and all folders for all files with names ending in .LRCAT; double-click on each one found until you find the catalog you want. (Also, you should know what folder your catalog file is stored in; if you don't, when you do find it via this procedure, make a note of which folder it is in)
If that doesn’t work: Restore a recent backup of your catalog file.

Uploading to YouTube is about video editing, but this post was made in the Lightroom Classic community which is really about photo editing. (Lightroom Classic can handle video, but only minimally, and can’t upload to YouTube.)

Adobe has several tools that can upload to YouTube, so the right place to answer your question also depends on whether you’re editing on a computer, smartphone, or tablet, and how advanced you need the software to be. All of the Adobe options below have built-in uploading to YouTube.

For easy, basic video creation: Try Adobe Express. It has video templates to help you get started, so there is less work for you to do. You can ask questions about it in the Adobe Express community.

If you are editing on an iPhone or iPad: Try Adobe Premiere for mobile. You can ask questions about it in the Premiere Mobile community.

If you are editing on a Mac or a Windows PC, and you need powerful, professional video editing software: Try Adobe Premiere. It is a complex application with a high learning curve. You can ask questions about it in the Premiere community.

My next question: Are there reasonably priced people out there that I could hire to work remotely for me. I need someone knowledgable in both Photoshop and You Tube channel operation?
