Does http streaming need apache to be set up with AMS?Can i run this server on a different ip?I want to only use the server to hold videos and my swf file linking to the video file will go to something like rtmp:\\127.0.0.2\vod\myVid.mp4Is this how i would set it up?I have tried so many other ways this just seems to be the only way i might be able to do it..I don't mind setting up the AMS with my current servers apache however, everytime i do i get errors.. So if you know how to do it then please enlighten me. Ive read through several blogs/tutorials on how to set up ams with an external apache and still no luck so this is my fallback plan.

I am most definitely going to purchase AMS 5 professional from adobe, however i can not figure out how to configure my current apache to AMS.This is what i know.PORTS 443,80AMS used port 1935, 80PORT 80 is used for http requestPORT 1935 is used for RTMPAPACHE modules(installLocation/apache/conf/httpd.conf)ERRORSLoadModule can not be loaded.hopefully I organized this in an apealing manner.My error arrises when using Loadmodule inside my xampp apache httpd.conf file.From a post from another user, i was told AMS would not need to be running as a service and that all i would need to do is load these modules, but then that made no sence (5 days later).I need to configure what folder AMS is in..Any help on configuring APACHE(xampp) to AMS will be appreciated. I have been working on this for days, and i would like to just get done with it and move on.

Hello, I have installed FMS 3.5 on a Linux root server with openSUSE 10.3 without included Apache 2.2. That is why the webserver is already installed and running. Now I should know next steps to configure both FMS and Apache to make it work for streaming recorded .flv files via HTTP and the VOD application. Starting Apache manually after FMS server is running always ends up in failure and error message: 'Address already in use. Could not bind to address [::]:80. If I start Apache first and then FMS server everything is running. But I guess this is not correct because the manual mentioned first starting FMS server. Thanks for any advise how I should proceed.

Hi AllI hope you can help with this simple question.In cenario where I have 20 (or more) people connected to my streaming server, these people might be watching the same content or not; is it possible to pause all this streams for a short moment like 20 to 30 seconds and resume the streams from where the people were just before it was paused please?Many thanksLG

Sometimes on random case there is no call sound on the one of in a call involved side (like a mute on speaker). There is no error lines in the server logs.Would you be able to point where to look for solving the issue?(Flash media server 4.5)

Hi friends,I do need your help, please!I have two different videos which recorded by two different cameras. Now I have two sync these two video files in a way that they can play with the same start time!(Imagine I have to measure the speed of vehicles in one road section which is 60 meters. I mounted one camera at one point to record the time of vehicles' arrival and the second camera was mounted at the second point by 60 meters distance in order to record the time of the vehicles' passing through. Now I need to sync these two videos like they can be played together at the same time!)Many thanks in advance!Sama

Not sure if this is correct place to ask question for 'Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder (FMLE)'. I am using EXE file installed on my PC. Need to ask if you have any online solution where I don't need to download and install exe file on my PC RATHER everything is web based and I can configure web based Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder (FMLE).Thanks

Hi everyone, I have installed AMS under Linux, I have the same probleme of Error #2032, however, I have created a right file crossdomain.xml in the webroot Folder. It's runing correct when I input http://localhost/webroot/.   wether it must confige the others files under Linux ????Thank you

We are running Adobe Media Server on AWS, and we want to run AMG and the Leg Service API.If we purchase one or more licenses of 'Adobe Media Server 5 Extended', can we use AMG within EC2, either on our Adobe AMI server or a standalone EC2 instance?Is the 25 'SIP ports' a limit on concurrent calls or unique SIP registrations or both?Thanks in advance for any information you can share.

We have used Adobe flash media player service on Android and we are happy with that. Thanks  Soon we are planning to implement cross platform app using this media player service.  One query: Is there any support available to iOS and WP platform also?  If no, any possibility of supporting them in future.

I was facing an issue of apache2.2 listening to port 80 and over riding my original apache port so if i started apache it would use the 2.2 version instead of my external version.. solving this i just deleted apache 2.2 from the system.How can i see if it solved my issue ? lol

Hello Everybody, I am working on my first Flash Media Server project. I am a little confused in regards to peerIDs. I be grateful if someone can provide me with some clarity. Firstly, and  please correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is the nc.nearID is the peerID of the client its like your own telephone number. And, nc.farID is the peerID of the server its like peoples number your trying to contact. You need access to this peerID for 1-to-1 communication. The Server-Side ActionScript client.nearID and client.farID is in the reverse order. Am I incorrect? Finally, how do you connect to different peers if you are on the same or different servers? Thank You

I'm running AMS 5 on Windows Server 2012.  Some of my VOD MP4 videos play just fine, while others will not play and return a "stream not found" error in the player.  All videos were recorded in the same way.The videos that do play tend to be smaller in size (<1MB), but small size doesn't guarantee that they will play.Any ideas?  Thanks!

Hi,     we have a couple of streaming interactive servers that are 3.5 and 4, do we need to purchase the full 5 pro licence or just an upgarde one?     Also are there any issues with running the update process, or should we do a clean install?   Finally do we need to backup our videos (these are located in an apps dir outside of the main adobe dir) and how do we roll back if needed? Hi,Lately we have been seeing a problem with the archives of live streams we create using FMS. We use FMS for live streaming and concurrently store the stream in a file using ActionScript. We use the following code to record:var s2 = Stream.get('mp4:' + mp4name);application.publishedStreamMP4= s2;application.publishedStreamMP4.record();application.publishedStreamMP4.play(application.publishedStream.name,-1,-1);(some lines have been removed that are used for logging, etc).Sometimes some of these functions fail and return false. In these cases FMS's core log shows that the cache is full:2013-06-11 11:45:55        13863   (w)2611372      The FLV segment cache is full.  -In investigating this issue I have not yet been able to recreate this exact situation. hi, I'm confused...I'm running an Elemental encoder, publishing to rtmp://10.151.170.22/livepkgr/livestream?adbe-live-event=liveevent&adbe-record-mode=record(i've tried with and without the 'record' bit - I actually don't want/need to record).AMS is on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit, AMS was installed from AdobeMediaServer_5_LS1_win64 with no serial number.If i delete the stream files and 'reload this application', then the stream runs for a period, actually until it has ~120mbytes in the streams folder.( << 10 minutes). I have a live video stream application one-to-many for example, and i want to send video only to few clients, not to all. We are trying to live stream from Adobe 3.1 encoder(on PC ) to live stream on IOS devices, by broadcasting the stream to Adobe Media Server 5 Professional.However though we succeeded in streaming live to PC, it is not working on IOS devices.Only when we uncheck the Audio option from Encoder, we are able to Live stream to IoS devices, which will be only the video without any audio.When we we have audio option checked as well, it works for PC, but for Iphones/Ipads it flickers once and then gives a error message " Cannot Decode".The current settings on encoder  is as below The current process is to use the default HDS links(as per the stream URL) for the PC, and the HLS links for IOS.Any guidance how to get the audio working here on IOS devices will be of great help.Note:Online most of the places use AAC format for audio on encoder, is that the only one which can work for IOS devices?
