Hi,Can anybody tell me about what is wrong with ServerToClient value in application.xml as:When i set ClientToServer to 25600 the server works fine and stops clients from sending data over 25600.Whereas this does not apply to ServerToClient property. I set it to 25600 but the server keeps on sending data very much over 25600 to clients.I have tried all permutation combinations, ServerToClient Bandwidth limit does not seem to work for me.Please help.Thanks,Sahil.
Hello,We are live streaming to iphone/ipad and jwplayer for desktops. We have used adobe encoder and wirecast and with both products if we stop and then restart a stream, the iphone/ipad receives a short loop of the old stream instead of what is currently playing. The only way we can make it play the live video is to stop the encoding, then clear the stream files from the server, inside the stream package, and then start the stream again. Is there some setting that is causing this behavior? Thanks
Hello!I m experience a strange situation. Our servers are Intel i7 - 33 GB Ram and 10 Gb fiber connection.Well, when a LIVE instance reach 2800 users, all of them are disconnected from the application.Have you experienced similar situation before? Is a tunning issue?Note: Users connected to other instances / live are not affected. Only the users @ this instance with more than 2800 users. We tryed with both versions 4.0 and 4.5Linux Debian Squeeze 64 BitsRegards,Rafael
I am using Adobe media server 5.0. Can capture the live stream using http://localhost:8134/hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.m3u8 as video src on ipad and iphone but the same with../ hds-live/..../livestream.f4m is not playing on chrome(which can play the mp4 video using video tag.) the url with hds-live../.f4m can be played using the sample video player under directory videoplayer, where you can test the url running.Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
I am hosting a live RTMP stream using AMS 5 starter to test the solution prior to purchasing a standard license. The stream is derived from a Haivision Makito. The stream will freeze after an undetermined period of time; I believe a few hours. If I restart the AMS server OR restart the stream from the encoder the stream will recover. My test situation is a single swf client. The solution otherwise works fine.no on demand being used; just a single RTMP stream.
Is there a way to disable HLS (or HDS, as well, in fact) fast forward in strobe at the client side, or at the server side (with HDS via mod_f4fhttp, or plain apache HLS serving)?Licensor requires that their content not be fast forwardable. If we used http progressive streaming, what would be the detriment compared to HLS/ HDS in this no-ffwd case?-ken
Hello.I have a wowza server as origin server for my rtmp stream. I am setuped my FMS server as edge server and all it`s ok.Q: How i can edge out-format from rtmp to Apple HLS?
I'm using Flash Media Development Server 4.5.And I'm doing some testing for a multicast stream (IP multicast). After 10 minutes it stream stops until I restart the application.I know that before release 4.5 the limit of multicast was 10 minutes but after 4.5 release , 'the limit' is 30 minutes. So I guess that is another problem. I followed the standard procedure described here:http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/devguide/WS7812b00092aae0dc-2829dcd012a54a3ed1a-8000.html
I'm using the Amazon Media/Flash Server 4.5 and I have been able to stream multi bitrate, but the guide says to use something like 100kb, 200kb, and 350kb streams. Is there any way to change this? The server page that shows the video to illustrate that the server is working says that these options are available in the tools folder, but I can't find how to access the tools folder. For reference, here are the instructions that I found:(Adobe HTTP Dyanmic Streaming) For multi-bitrate streaming, Flash and AIR media players request an F4M manifest file that contains the location and bitrate of each live stream. This type of F4M file is called a set-level manifest. To create an set-level manifest, do the following:Open rootinstall/tools/f4mconfig/configurator/f4mconfig.html in a browser.Select the f4m file type.Stream URIs can be absolute or relative to a Base URI. Enter the following for the Base URI:http://localhost/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveeventEnter the following for each stream a
Hi,In first case my application's bandwidth monitor is working fine with NON-edge origin configuration of fms. I see correct values in up and down bytes that are sent and received between clients. For an edge-origin configuration these values are not coming as they should.Example:The first client connection to the edge looks like working normally his sent and received bytes are shown fine, but for the second and subsequent connections the bytes of data received by client is 0 and does not change although data "is" received by the client. Also, suppose client A sends some data to server, so his up data bytes should be shown to him only. But in edge origin configuration client A's up data bytes "value" is shown to all other connected clients as "their" up data bytes with their down bytes values as 0...Where could be the problem, what should i check? any xml settings missing? Please help.I am checking this on fms 3.5.3 developer edition as orgin server and 3.5.7 developer edition
I dont quite understand why i am unable to connect. to FMS. I have checked the FMS port tester and the results showed there are open. I believe my uri string is correct. Why cant i connect? Below is a snippet of my code: import.flash..net.NetConnection;import.flash.media.Video;import..flash.media.Camera;import flash.media.Microphone;var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();nc.connect("rtmfp://fms/flashTest");nc.addEventListenet(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, netHandler);function netHandler(event:NetStatusEvent):void{ switch(event.info.code){ case "NetConnection.Connect.Success": trace("Your connected"); break; case "NetConnection.Connect.Failed": trace(" Sorry unable to connect"); break; case "NetConnection.Connect.Reject": trace("Please try again"); break;}}var video:Video = new Video();video.width = camera.width;video.height =
While streaming the audio through FMS 3.5, audio starts breaking at the receiver's end after some time. can anyone please provide a suitable solution?
I have noticed today that when i use FMLE 3.2.0.9932 with AMS 5.0.1.1076 in most cases dynamic creation of a manifest file does not happen as expected. It is intermittent at best.If i hit a url e.g which should provide a manifest i.e. http://localhost/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.f4m in almost all cases i will get a 404.In fmle for example i have tried streaming tortmp://localhost/livepkgrlivestream?adbe-live-event=liveeventIt also happens if i change livestream? to something like livestream1? or teststream? or mystream? Most times i get 404 but occasionally the f4m becomes available.in AMS I can see from the FMLE output that the stream is publishing as it should be.I can also see AMS Admin that the stream is publishing and being viewed in all test cases.

I am wondering if AMS is able to make a connection through https that can remain persistent. Are there any gotchas or special considerations to using https as opposed to http? We want to switch to https, but due to the overhead in the handshake, want to keep a persistent connection to send data at random times.
Hi, We have separate Flash Access packager encrypting content. This content is afterwards served by FMS to clients. While flash-enabled clients just download content via vod/mp4:content.f4v, iOs clients use /hls-vod/content.f4v.m3u8. Is there way to enable EXT-X-KEY parameter to m3u8? i've explored jithttp_module possible settings, but as far as i understand now - it's targeted to have both key and server url, which is not suitable - in our architecure we had plans to keep FMS away of all keys. Or maybe am i doing smth wrong? Thanks!
What is the minimum server hardware specifications for RAM, CPU and hard drive speeds (capacity I know) for streaming content to the web in 1080p using Adobe Media Server?
I have intel i3 Processor, will adobe mediaserver work on that? In system requirements its mentioned that xenon/pentium is necessary. I am confused. Please clarify. Thanks,Easwar
I have a strange problem. I have an application built in Flash Builder. When I record to Flash Media Server I don't have any issues, it'll do DVR for as long as I want. But when I record to Adobe Media Server, the recording is only 5 seconds long.ns = new NetStream(nc);ns.client = new Object();userUID = UIDUtil.createUID();ns.attachAudio (mic);ns.attachCamera (camera);ns.publish( "demo" + userUID, "record" );Later I can play the recording, timestamp says that it's a 5 second archive, but it'll really keep playing the recorded video.Same code, just different server.Has anyone had this problem when migrating to Adobe Media Server from Flash Media Server? Using Amazon.
Hey folks, Here's my situation. We purchased the Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5 a few days ago and everything is running smoothly. We have a website where users can stream live and other users can see the live stream can sign in and broadcast in live. Other users can see the live stream. This is already working. However we would like to use the Dynamic Streaming's capability. We have users who have low-band and have other ones who have broadband Internet connection. We already know how to determine the users' speed and offer them the best suitable stream. But! The problem is that how we are supposed to make 3 different versions from one live stream? Yes, I know that we can use the Live Encoder to do the job but the thing is that we don't want our users to install anything on their computer. Is there a way to do some server-side AS to produce three different quality version from one live stream? Or is it possible to integrate the Live Encoder in the background to do this? If no
I'd like to deliver dynamic stream from usb camera to FMS withactionscript, because that way I can put some event handlers for motion detecting(which is the key for my service).but so far I only found it's only possible with FMLE,which works as a standalone application, and this means I can no longer access the camera via actionscript if using FMLE.Anyone has a similar experience?Regards.
Hi I want to broadcast recorded video using flash encoder, or their is any other way for broadcating recorded media files as live tv?
