Background Flashing

After the upgrade to V24.3 when I open a New File document the background flashes repeatedly and I have not found a way to make it stop to work in the file.

    @Tasha13 just enable this option in preferences and restart Photoshop

      I have tried Ged_Traynor's suggestion and now Ps does not restart!  Help Please.

      I have now selected Older GPU Mode and everything is back working again.  Thanks for all the suggestions.
