Photoshop, please bring back Render Lighting Effects filter. I was able to add lighting and enhance a photograph, that I can not do anymore. No one has a plug in that works as good as your Lighting Effects filter. Why would you take away such a great feature. It's been gone since version 22.2 I ask the community to raise their voices and request Photoshop bring this feature back!

Any idea why the colors on the left, at the bottom of the tool bar, don't reflect the colors of the shape? 

I'm working with a script that exports slices of a PSD.Just wondering how to program my JS script to export only user slices (see image)?By default it exports all, including unnecessary auto slices.Thanks

Hello, I work on large image in format PSD like 4 Go.When i use the quick selection tool, at some point Photoshop closes by itself and doesn't display any error messages. I can't finish my selection because it always close before, so it's very boring.I try in TIFF, PSD, DNG even on an another computer with photoshop 24.7 same issue.My main computer is really good, Ryzen 7 7800 x3D, RTX 5070, 64 GB RAM, and he's almost new. I tried to activate/désactivate the GPU in the parameter and it's the same.The issue is only with the quick selection tool, i think the problem is from photoshop. Can this issue be fixed ? Thank you !     

Hello! I've been having some wild inconsistencies with different files in my Photoshop for a while now. Looking at the example below -The image to the left is the original illustration open in PhotoshopThe image in the middle is the image used in-situ, captured via screengrab from the website on my iMac in ChromeThe image to the right is if I save the image from the website (rather than screengrab( and open it in Photoshop (the file is a jpeg)  Now if I save the image and open it in Preview it's the same, it's only when opening it in Photoshop does it suddenly saturate the colours  What's also weird is the above example is saved via Export As and the below example is saved via Save for Web (convert to sRGB makes no difference) and that desaturates the colours. Can anyone explain what is going on with my Photoshop / iMac display settings?  

Hi, I'm working on a photoshop file on my iPad and wanting to move it to my connected hard drive so I can pluc that into my windows laptop and place it into another document on that device. I can't seem to find any "import" option on the apple files app, nor a "move" or "export" option when in the file or clicking on the "..." next to it in the photoshop app.  Is there any good way to move a photoshop file from an iPad to another device without having to buy cloud storage or email it to yourself and deal with the rigamarole of redownloading it, having copies on multiple devices, etc etc??

I have downloaded Photoshop 2025 and the selection tool is malfunctioning badly. What should I do?

Good morning, Photoshop Veteran from the era of 'Desktop Publishing.' However am thoroughly confused as to why in Photoshop 2023 (24.2.0) for MacOS (13.2.1) floating tabs are pushed behind the Application Frame when tearing off tabs and then returning to the remaining tabbed image. This makes composting a real pain in the keister and is thus a negative for an efficient production workflow. Perhaps I am missing the 'benefit' of this Bug, or maybe some option in the MacOS?? Nevertheless this behavior was NOT always the case in MacOS as Photoshop circa ~2017 handled floating tabs as expected, i.e. all floating tabs remain on-top of the Application Frame:EXPECTED RESULT - Photoshop ~2017 Reference GIF: Joonas on StackExchange However, in Photoshop 2023 now all the floating tabs disapper behind the Application Fram:ACTUAL RESULT - Photoshop 2023 (24.2.0) Please fix this productivity killer post haste. Hello!I'm having some trouble with a gif - I have rendered the animation I want using After Effects (rendered as QuickTime .mov) then imported the video file into PhotoShop and prepared my file for .gif export via Save for Web (Legacy). On the Save for Web settings the Looping Option is set to 'Forever'. The gif colour and quality is fine - but the one big issue is that the rendered gif has a very long delay between each loop.I've scoured the forums, but I'm having real trouble figuring out what is causing this - any help would be greatly appreciated!Thank you,Sarah

When typing text into the Generate Fill or Generate Image prompt box (or in the Properties panel), the entire text becomes selected anytime there is a single mouse click inside. People expect to be able to click one time to place the cursor, not to select text. MANY times I have clicked once to place the cursor and typed one character before realizing all the text was selected--AND THERE IS NO UNDO so I lose all the text every time. Feature Request: Do not select all of the prompt text when there is a single click in the text box--use standard conventions that require double-click for one word and triple-click for full line or full paragraph.

Hello Why, if the current selected layer is a shape, does using the eyedropper change the colour of that shape?I assume this is some well-meaning function. How can I turn it off please? I want the eyedropper simply to load a colour, not change the colour of anything.

Hi, I've used MIcrosoft ICE to stitch panoramas for years. Because of the potentially better quality and easier workflow, I've tried to use ACR recently. However, while spheric projection is usually working halfway ok, I usually don't get anywhere with perspective projection, which is unfortunately the one I'm using the most. ACR with spherical projection looks halfway ok:But ACR with perspective projection does not:And with PhotoMerge it's not much better, just the other way round:While with ICE it's simply perfect:Am I overlooking something? Or is a 10-year old Microsoft freeware simply much superior to Photoshop when it comes to panoramas? 

Hello everyone, I need help because I have contacted the Adobe Help Center five times and they have not been able to resolve my issue. Photoshop, Bridge, and Camera Raw keep crashing, causing me a huge problem in completing my work. I am using an Acer Predator Helios 18 PH18-71-92TN laptop with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU. The operating system is WIN 11. All drivers and the applications I have issues with are up to date.  

The Select and Mask tool is very laggy and slow since the last versions on my Mac Studio M2 Ultra.I am editing RAW files from Lightroom and import them in Photoshop. Also the double click option on a layermask to get into the Select and Mask tool takes ages to load.  OS: Sequoia 15.5 Thanks! 

I want to migrate my PS Preferences to a new computer.  I see a lot of individual files for various settings but no single folder containing general preferences.  Does one exist and I am not reading the names correctly or do I have to copy and paste all the individual settings/preferences/etc. manually and install them individually on the new system?

I absolutley do not understand why the functionality of copying and pasting guides to other documents was removed/moved? One of the most basically needed features of a program has to be messed with. Who's function in the script did it mess with??  I cant find an answer on the web due to multiple changes between versions but documentation has not been updated. Im using 24.7.0. Why not have a simple checkbox option for the current guides in the first document to carry over to any sub-sequent documents after it?

Hi to all!My name is antonio and i'm a journalist adn photographer working in the fashion and beauty area.In this part of the year and a bit before i work a lot on the beach to realize advert campaign for beachwaer brands and editorial to be published on magazines.My problem is that when i try to use generative expand every, every, every time there is a model wearing a swimsuite in the frame i can only get the orange dialog the read: pleae check guidelines for the use of this service (something about this, ok)This is a nightmare, i cannot use to work this feature of PS that could help me a  lot; for example when i'm shooting from inside the sea walking in to the water i cannot change lens to my camera to avoid to drown it (tipicaly a pair camera plus lens worth abot 8000-9000 euros )  but when i try to expand the picture... the stop message get up.Please how can avoid this ? 

Since more than a year I have a problem with Liquify in Photoshop. Every 3-5 edited photos, when trying to use Liquify, I get "Could Not Complete Liquify Command because of a disk error". When this error comes up, I have to restart Photoshop and I can retouch another 3-5 photos untill problem comes again. What's more, when liquify stops working, there is also problem with other filters, like lens blur. It doesn't work too untill restarting Photoshop. I was hoping that maybe some updates will fix this, but I struggle with it over a year and it's too annoying now to wait any longer. Not to mention that recently Photoshop wiped all my user settings, but thankfully I had an old backup. What can I do to fix this error?My PC:i7-13700K64GB RAMRTX 4080Windows 11

J'explique mon problème :  Lorsque, de Bridge, j'indique "ouvrir dans Camera Raw" puis ouvrir dans "Photoshop", le plus souvent -presque toujours- Photoshop se plante et je suis obligée de forcer l'arrêt. Lorsque de Bridge, j'indique "ouvrir dans Photoshop", Camera Raw s'ouvre et je peux charger l'image dans Photoshop.Lorsque de Bridge, j'indique "ouvrir dans Photoshop", Camera Raw s'ouvre et je peux charger l'image dans Photoshop.   De plus, Camera Raw , met un certain temps avant de charger l'image bien net.Cela viendrait-il de mon PC ? ou le chemin Camera Raw - Photoshop est mal configuré ? Cela fonctionnait très bien avant les nouvelles mises à jour et surtout "la réduction du bruit" sous Camera Raw. I’m having an issue and I’m hoping someone can help me.1) edited color of photos in camera raw (inside photoshop). Clicked done.2) did skin smoothing in camera raw (inside photoshop). Clicked done throughout (afraid of computer crashing because it has been and I’m just trying to get through this)3. Opened photo into photoshop to do liquify. They look correct - but when I save them or export them as jpg my color changes save but with skin smoothing does not.HELP PLEASE. What am I doing wrong?? I just want to save my work!

PS 26.8.1 stopped working yesterday, freezes, as does Beta.I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no success.I'm on a Mac Mini with no RAM or storage issues. This is causing me to miss deadlines. Please help!

Hello, I rely on Replace Color to create subtle effects in my job as a concept artist. I have noticed that the sensitivity and precisions has been entirely lost in all versions after 26.7 Were changes made to this function that could have caused this? Regards, Alex Ries

Hi all, I wanted to place this photo in a project in Indesign, but i'm struggling with the image size. I have searched the internet for standard sizes and I now want to make this photo 800 pixels and 300dpi. But when do you have the right size without it becoming pixelated? Is there a way to estimate the correct size for placing images in InDesign? Or a standard to work from?

This is such a weird bug, I don't even know if this occurs with other people.  I have exceptionally good hearing when it comes to high pitched noises. Like I can hear a dog whistle good. So anyone who tries to test this might not even hear the sound I'm talking about. I've noticed yesterday that while painting in photoshop that a high pitched sound would come out of my speakers on my laptop which is muted. This only occurs while painting. I can click and drag somewhere off the canvas and the sound won't happen.  The sound won't happen when using a different tool like hand tool or something else.  I have a Wacom tablet connected, but the sound occurs with the tablet and with the mouse.  I've also noticed the sound is louder with higher pressure on the tablet. The sound also won't occur until photoshop has been running for a little bit, I can restart my computer and the sound would disappear momentarily but then come back later.  I'm running p
