Neural Filter Crash still NOT fixed!

Photoshop still crashes constantly when

- immediately when neural filters is selected
- when quitting Photoshop (this problem already occurred with InDesign some time ago and was fixed after the last update) Now the problem also exists in Photoshop since the last update to the latest version. What the heck are you guys always doing at Adobe!!!

Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings.

DOES NOT HELP!

Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - and restart Photoshop.

DOES NOT HELP!

Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop. Still crashing?

DOES NOT HELP!

I am working on a new Mac Studio Max with the latest OS version.

And because this problem occurs platform-independently - on Mac and Windows alike - and has existed for years now, it can't be the operating systems.

I'm curious when Adobe will finally fix this bug so I can finally use Photoshop the way I pay Adobe money for it month after month!

Just this morning I saw that a new PS update was issued overnight: 24.1.

This did not show up for me in the Creative Cloud app, but only appeared after I searched in PS > Help > Updates.

And now it works. I can even uncheck "Open with Rosetta" and have my libraries back. Neural Filters work and PS no longer crashes on exit either. I hope it stays that way now.

So with 24.1, the problem with Neural Filters is gone?

And now I've logged in with the other account. I wasn't paying attention there. I really don't want to sign up with that.

Desktop App is the latest version.
And yes, the problems described have now been resolved.

Jeffrey, I use two accounts, one private and one from an organization, which in turn has its own license. Sometimes I use cie Creative Site privately with my own license, sometimes that of the organization when I work for them.

You are either not including your email address or entering and email address into the crash reporter dialog that's that different than the email address that you're using to log in here. No reports come up when I search with your email address you use to log in here.

The other reason you may not have seen 24.1 in ACC is because it the roll out of updates takes place over a day or two. Not everyone sees updates immediately and at the same time.

So the problem is over now???

The reason the update did not show is most likely your CC desktop app also needed an update.

@ thedigitaldog

The reason I had 24.0.1 installed is that the Creative Cloud app showed me this as the current version and did not offer an update. I'm relying on what the Creative Cloud app is showing me.

No, this is a translation fail. I don't want to torture anyone here with my bad English, so I write this into a translation program. I check and correct afterwards, but due to time constraints I do it only superficially.

On this occasion, I would actually be interested to know when version 24.1 was released. Until this morning it was not shown to me. I am in Europe.

Update your Photoshop. This is all Ventura related and was addressed in the latest update.

The latest version of Photoshop is 24.1.

Why are you still installing 24.0.1?

You told us you were on Mac OS, what's up with “recycle bin”, you are now on Windows?

You tell us there's supposed to be a fix for M1 a long time ago (early 2022 ) while many of us on Macs with M1s are running the filters and more without issue.

Color at least me confused at how to help you.

It's starting to get fun. Or not.

Photoshop 23.5.3 contains the libraries.
Photoshop 24.0.1 shows no libraries. They are missing from the "Window" menu.

But if I navigate to Photoshop App 24.0.1 in the Applications folder, click on it with cmd i, and then check "Open with Rosetta", the libraries subsequently appear.

In Photoshop 23.5.3, there is no check mark for "Open with Rosetta", but the libraries appear anyway.

Does this mean I can only use the libraries in PS 24.0.1 if I open the app in Rosetta? But I can use 23.5.3 completely without Rosetta?

This does not affect the neural filter issue in 24.0.1. I cannot use them.
