P: Photoshop 27.0: startup screen display error when clicking the Home button (Windows)

I have a problem with the “home button” in Photoshop after updating to the latest version. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn’t help. Even installing the previous version doesn’t fix it anymore. A dark screen appears with a message about an unknown error. Apart from that, everything

works fine once I get into Photoshop itself to work.

Hi everyone,

Please try this quick UXP reset; it often fixes Home screen problems.
• Quit Photoshop and the Creative Cloud desktop app completely.
• Back up the UXP folder (optional): copy the folder to your Desktop.
• Rename the UXP folder:
Windows: rename C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP_backup
macOS: rename /Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP_backup
• Restart Creative Cloud, then launch Photoshop and check the Home screen.
• If the problem is fixed, you can delete the backup folder after a few successful launches. If not, quit Photoshop and rename the folder back to its original name to restore your previous UXP state.

Today I've this problem too. Both illustrator and photoshop. I've removed all app and creative cloud and new install. It's not work, still the same.

Definitive solution: Uninstall all Adobe programs, then uninstall Creative Cloud, restart your computer, and reinstall Creative Cloud. After reinstalling the programs, the problem should be solved.

Last 2-3 days photoshop is opening in a weird looking page which is grey and with text and tools logs in black on right side of the page when you try to open a image it says something is wrong.

i have almost 160 GB free space, all drivers are updated . did almost everything found on net.

Good Day,

Is there anyone that can assist me with my Illustartor & Photoshop Home Screen:
- It's not loading it just shows icons, that i can't interact with(they are unresponsive)
- It's not showing my cloud files, I have to open them for Creative Cloud and I can't save any new files to the cloud.
- See attached images for reference.

Please can anyone assist, it's driving me crazy.

Hi @Studio X Pres, let us know the steps suggested in the community thread Ged shared helped.

If not, looking at the system information you've shared, the Nvidia drivers are almost a year old. Try installing the latest Studio drivers from Nvidia's website and check if that makes a difference.

Unfortunately, resetting the preferences didn’t help — the startup screen error still appears. Everything else in Photoshop works fine once I get past the startup screen.
