P: PS v24.2 update fail on Mac M2 - error 183 <edited-kglad>

Photoshop update to v24.2 fails on my M2 Mac mini and then corrupts my currently installed version (it does not open and displays error saying elements of the app are missing). I had to reinstall v24.1.

Hey Kerry, i do not know when exactly but Photoshop v24.3 it's available at least since yesterday and it's working fine on Mac M2 without rosetta.

if you are trying to install photoshop from Creative Cloud Website, just close your browser and open Creative Cloud Dektop app, try to install photoshop from there

maybe the link on creative cloud website prmpt you to v24.2 installation, don't know.

@Jay LI installing Rosetta 2 has been a noted workaround. If you do not want to install Rosetta 2, you can install the previous build until an M2 solution is available.

@roberts33286217 no, I didn't install rosetta 2. PS is the only application I installed on my new MAC mini so far

Yes, I had to uninstall my CC and when you run the uninstaller, it installs Rosetta 2

24.2 installation failed on my Mac Mini M2 pro, it is just out of box, PS is the first applicaiton I try to install

don't update until ps you check the release notes, though i suspect you have rosetta installed now.

Thanks for the Rosetta advice....however I unistalled all versions of PS, there were two on there and in safe mode somehow managed to get back the original 24.1.1 so now I am stopping! will not be updating to 24.2 - cannot go through all that again! No idea what happened there at all...
